Joining the military was a big change in my life. It's hard to say at this point whether it was the right decision or not. I'm getting excellent training in aviation, all the educational opportunities I can get my hands on, and had many incredibly rewarding experiences. However, life in the Army is incredibly regimented. I often find myself frustrated at how little control we're allowed with our time, and even Fort Huachuca, home of US military intelligence, and not free from the silly, irresponsible bureaucratic nonsense that plagues any government-run organization.
The hours are hard, and the work often harder. It's very stressful for sure. Before you make this decision, you need to think it over very carefully. I don't regret my decision in the least, but all the same I look forward to the day when I can go back home. I miss my friends and my family with all my heart. Ask yourself if you really want this. Explore all possible alternatives and make an informed decision- because this one will change your life forever.
Good luck, contact me if you have any questions.

You might as well join, it's only the Canadian military.

Lol I really am mad, Im an American but I despise people who say "cAnAdAaNian MilItryz iS pOoPy"'
If you again compare the percentage of population to military, their casualties in afghanistan are about the same.

Yeah but it's not like anyone would fight them cause they'd have to get through 'merica first.
Yep, that;s it. Went away for now, though.

Instructors.
This would be the worst time to join people always enlist in military during poor economic times.

No shit they'd have to get through the U.S. first, my point is that in helping us in afghanistan they had a number of casualties.

You sound like a recruiter.
No, no, that would be a PR Officer.
Tell stories, shit like that.
I recently enlisted. It's good money and a good future. As long as you don't go in for infantry, you'll be fine. It'll be hell for a while, but you'll love yourself for doing it.

:cawg:
I'd do it, but that's because I already am doing it. I don't know what kind of benefits and such you get in the Canadian military, but it's a good place to get yourself some solid ground to stand on if you know what I mean.
You don't join the military, they choose YOU, based on your mental and physical capabilities.

Just sayin'
Once I turn 18 I'm enlisting to fly for the Navy. I always loved to fly.
I have just left sixth form with the intention of joining the British army...
Travel the world, meet new people.
Then kill them.
It doesn't really matter do you or don't you join Canadian military. USA has always taken and will always take care of Canada, so don't waste your time on Canadian military.

Isn't that the U.S. Air Force? :P
Never mind.
