I'm going to the military January next year.
I'm considering joining the military too, because my life as it is now is dreadfully slow. I'm not in college and my friends are, so my social life is frozen and I hate my job. I doubt I'd love being in the military either, but at least it's something different. I'd rather get shot at in a foreign shithole than work 8 hours a day, come home and sleep. At least with the latter of the two would be an adventure, even if a bleak, boring, and dangerous one. Wouldn't want a desk job, I'd rather do something frontline. If I ever got into it for longer term (maybe 3 years or so) I'd want to go through the markmanship training programs, and maybe aim for a scout sniper after a few years. Do it up. Either you'll become a badass, or you will earn a good death.
enough with the jokes, they're in bad taste.
There goes my plan. What about our special services, i cant remember their proper name for some reason.
The SASR and the Commando units? They're even harder still. I'm amazed that this thread hasn't gone to shit, you've done me proud Facepunch :unsmith:
If your grades are anything higher than B+, don't. Not unless you're planning to be a high ranking officer If you don't, please, be a doctor or something useful that lives off of my tax money usefuly.
I am thinking about joining the Icelandic military.
Your threads are horrible, you don't have to write all that shit. See all those dumbs? But I think joining the military would be a good idea, it's great experience,
My uncle is in the Army, nothing special, he´s doing research with weapons and such. So, yes, being in the Army doesn´t have to mean to fight with Taliban.
Thread music Joining the military doesn't mean you're going to die. You're more likely to die from a drunk driver than being blown up as a young adult. The biggest thing to remember is after you go through basic training your job is like any other job. You wake up, go to work, come home (with the exception of being out on tour, which is morel like a business trip in a hostile area). Your weekends are open like any other job, and you get days off like any other job.

What the hell is going on with the text?
