Pro tip, never eat stuff that's way too hot, or your tongue is gonna hurt for the entire day. Also auto corrector is correcting wrong words as usual.
Automatic just makes more sense to me in urban environments. In a traffic jam, an automatic driver can just let go of the brake when there's a gap, but manual driver has keep pushing the clutch every single time it slows down [editline]17th January 2015[/editline] I just don't see the benefits of manual for everyday driving around, but I don't have much experience so

But using the clutch just seems so natural after a while, and it's strange to think back to when I was shit at it.
You don't really know how to drive. You're much more "in tune" with the car when you drive stick. And you learn loads more about how it operates.
This is seriously the most obnoxious, aggravating pretentious bullshit ever "Oh you don't really know how to drive, unlike me, the almighty Manual shift driver" Like are you fucking serious, is your ego that inflated because you move a stick around in the car versus someone who doesn't? Sure it might make your car more controllable, but Some people don't need or want the extra control. Nobody who got their license and learned on an automatic is going to think "Well clearly I can drive manual cars now!"
No james youre just being rude now Haha holy shit are you people really upset over a manual vs stick argument? I really wish I was kidding when I said its like PC masterrace, only serious.
are you for real? you took the time to find out what my name is and address me as such? I mean i dont hide it, but thats pretty creepy bro you're also the one getting really flustered, trying to be witty, like dude, every other post is you going on about it
What is wrong with me having a license only knowing how to drive an automatic car?
I know a chick that somehow passed her exam without knowing how to drive stick(all exam cars over here are manual, according to some friends she actually bribed the dude and threw in the argument that she already had an automatic car so he didn't give a shit) and she drove for like a year with her license on her automatic car with no real incidents And then she got a job, and at one point she was required to drive the company car, which was stick, and she got into an accident in about 30 minutes because she couldn't properly change gears You're giving people that only have a partial knowledge on how to drive cars a license to do it, that's the problem. I'm not saying you're an idiot if you drive automatic, I'm saying you should at least KNOW how to use a manual transmission

Also I'm 17 and I've only driven about twice, but I do prefer the feel of a manual. While it's really confusing at first, the feel of the car telling you when to change gear makes me feel a little more in control.
my take on the whole thing is that you're given a license that says you can drive cars, not a type of car, i have no personal opinion with weather one kind is better than the other

You have to do more to do the same thing, even if it feels more natural. I'm just using mine to go from point A to point B, not being 'in tune' with my car doesn't really matter.
My brother and his girlfriend come waltzing in the house just now and start grabbing food. The night before he pulled out some shit from the storage closet and had it strewn across the living room. I ask him "What is all this stuff doing out" he replies "Because I wanted to" "Why did you just leave it everywhere" His girlfriend replies "why are you asking so many questions?" "Because I want to?" "well your questions are stupid so shut up" excuse me?
That's when you go up to your brother's room and start pulling shit down.
My mom and grandma are fighting about everything.

That's obviously fucking risky.
Why would they employ her without asking before hand if she could drive a stick or not?
Because driving wasn't part of the job description, it was something that happened And this isn't the reason, that's an example It's a bad idea to legally allow people to drive something they have no idea how to drive, how hard is it to grasp that concept? If you've ever only driven automatic and never touched a manual transmission, you won't be able to use it If you've ever only driven manual and you're presented with an automic, it's an awkward change but it's possible
"took the time" nigga your facebook is linked under your avatar
Yet you still took the time to click onto his FB account and check for his name to use it here.

That doesn't justify making people have to learn something they don't need to learn. And like I said, if people learned how to drive stick and eventually needed to drive stick a long time after they learned. That's a hazard already right there, they can't quite remember everything because they don't drive stick everyday.
This is getting creepy. [editline]17th January 2015[/editline] Oh wait, i have my youtube channel in my profile, what an idiot i am :v:

Maybe for you it took 4 hours but for others it can take a lot longer. Learning stick in 4 hours is strange because that would mean you wouldn't need practice. You need to practice stick before you start driving stick for important duties.
I never said you said or implied stick is better, second it takes more than 4 hours tops.
Yet you still took the time to click onto his FB account and check for his name to use it here.
It takes literally less than 10 seconds. Anyway, Mom's bitching at me because I'm not jumping at the chance to go work on a fucking house that already has enough volunteers on my day off after a stressful as fuck week. I don't give a fuck. I'm going to use my fucking day however the fuck I want to.
That sarcastic way that some people talk really annoy me
"took the time" nigga your facebook is linked under your avatar
yes i know its there, but its still kinda weird to do that, like what reason would you have to address me by my first name, rather than by my forum alias? bringin up something like that, regardless of how easy the information was to access is kinda weird
Automatic is clearly a better choice for new drivers and people just wanting to get from point A to point B. Arguing the point that a manual is better for new drivers so they can learn is stupid; I would prefer my son/daughter learning how to drive on an automatic first and then learn how to drive a manual. I think manuals are being phased out more and more. Many of the new high performance cars are now automatics because they're faster. The time it takes to shift with a manual loses too much time compared to automatics.

The fact that Crisis Core still isnt on the Ps Vita. Or maybe its the fact I own a ps vita.
Playing co-op in Borderlands 2 is pissing me off, it lags so much.
Playing co-op in Borderlands 2 is pissing me off, it lags so much.
I tried to do BL1 coop with one of my IRL buddies. We've decided he's just going to have to bring his PC over and do LAN because otherwise he gets d/c'd and sometimes loses all the loot and mission progress we've done in awhile.
Fuck, my cat died today. Seemed fine this morning, then two hours ago, bam. Just surreal. He was so chill, he slept on my bed and chilled with me when I played xbox. RIP
Because driving wasn't part of the job description, it was something that happened And this isn't the reason, that's an example It's a bad idea to legally allow people to drive something they have no idea how to drive, how hard is it to grasp that concept? If you just do the standard, which is automatic, you can only drive automatic.
Isn't the EU standard manual shifting? Cause that shifting is used in everywhere in Europe. I have only heard very few cases of automatic. The only one I know who drives that is my uncle and aunt with an Audi.
