Sounds cool, name some of these beers.
Ok. So... let's see. My personal regional favourites.
Scandinavia - Nøgne Ø #100, Mikkeller Beer Geek Brunch (weasel edition), Einstok Toasted Porter
Europe - Kindle Weiss (Ohne Schuss of course!), De Molen Rasputin, Cantillon Geuze, Paulaner Salvator, Schlenkerla Eiche, La Chouffe Houblon IPA Tripel,
Britain - The Kernel (Any beer from them, especially the Export Stout, Oatmeal/breakfast stout and Citra IPA), Titanic Chocolate Vanilla Stout, Darkstar Espresso, Magic Rock Human Cannonball
USA - Flying Dog Raging Bitch, Great Divide Espresso Yeti, Anchor Breckles Brown, Brooklyn Chocolate Stout, Rogue Imperial Stout, Stone Arrogant Bastard Ale, Goose Island Mild Winter and Bourbon County Stout
Australia - Little Creatures Pale Ale
Edit - Are you anywhere near london by chance?
I used to work at Tesco about 4 years ago and I judged everybody who bought Tesco Value Larger. I know some people are on a budget but seriously WHY buy that shit?!
On an unrelated note, I'll be in Hong Kong airport in 24 hours, They have Absolut Tropical and Mango flavours I can't find anywhere else, I know what I'm treating myself to! also 'treating' myself to copious amounts of vodka on the plane.
Anyone have any good places they like to go for beers?
I love going here: http://www.beerknurd.com/stores/kansascity/
Every Monday night is $3 pint night, and you get to choose from around 90 or so beers in the $3 range. It's good shit.
Looks nice, This is my local and ONLY pub in the city to my knowledge http://www.onefortheroad.com.cn/
If you search one for the road pub dongguan in youtube somewhere on there is a video of the landlord and some regular expats hosing a drunk guy down at 2am on a bouncy castle.
water
You dumbass the alcohol makes you dehydrated and makes the water in the beer negligible.

Ex Sainsburys here, used to the same thing too. For us though it wasn't Basics Lager, it was Basics Cider, in the big ol' bottles. We'd get people who'd come in daily for it.

Nice. I've had about 70 beers from their list, good selection but also a lot of us only beers there.
I love the pub I work in, but our website is crap. Here's an article from TimeOut, every pub on this list is great.
http://www.timeout.com/london/feature/1700/londons-best-craft-beer-bars (the place I work at is 9th down and looks a LOT different than that now)

Asian countries have the best (and weirdest) localized alcohol, I know the western countries have weird booze but it's so hard to find.
Like I can't find any fig or date based alcohol.

That's why light beer is my drink of choice when thirsty - less alcohol content and more water.

I wouldnt say Absolut is weird, its pretty common throughout the world, the falvours I want are only ever available in airports, I got myself a mango vodka from them when I went to Thailand.
And yeah cider or beer, either way Fragmatic, value of either is fucking terrible and I judge pople on it because the hobo in the town I used to live in got drunk of it. If a hobo can afford it what the fuck are you doing with it?

It's the localizations I'm calling weird. I cant think of any at the moment for alcohol though.
Also elitism. Stop it.
I seriously will try to not get drunk again. I fought with everybody and fucked a lot of relationships up last night.

Yeah Essex around 40 mins on the train, im familiar with The Kernel brewery did some work for an art gallery near there.
Finally got that 1,6Kilo bag of skittles
[T]http://filesmelt.com/dl/skittles1.jpg[/T]
330ML soda can for size comparison.
I've just bottled some damson gin - I pricked tons of damson berries, added a good pile of sugar, and topped up with gin in kilner jars then left for 3 months, occasionally tasting to check the amount of sugar.
And now, it's done! And put into bottles ready for christmas

The internet.
It's a bulk bag meant for old fashioned candy vending machines.
Example: http://www.candymachines.com/Skittles-Candy-3lbs-P217.aspx
Just google skittles bulk or the equivalent in your language.
Where I got my bag from:

Damn you, Poland. Can't find anything like it.
I discovered that Jameson Whiskey is actually really good and the commercials aren't TOTAL bullshit
Decided to make a test batch out of the four flavors there were most of and 1 Liter of vodka I had laying around:

Also prepared the rest of the Skittles for when I actually get my arse in gear and pick up some more Vodka.

Had to get creative since I had too many of Lemon flavored ones but a little too less of Lime flavored, so I dumped a small amount of Lemon flavored ones in the Lime bottle.
I'm also kinda disappointed by the lack of Strawberry flavored ones and by the mass abundance of the Blackcurrant flavor.
Oh well, that wont matter if it tastes good enough.
I've never tried it 'properly' with sugar but I've done shots of the stuff before, although I doubt it was in the realm of the 70%, probably closer to 40/50%. It was nice but just tasted of aniseed.
Yeah what generally happens is a friend brings back a "case" from Spain or somewhere in eastern Europe which is around 5 small bottles around 500 or 600ml sized, they are of different colouring and percentage (The last being green it's natural colour, and around 70%). Very nasty stuff, but I've never gotten black outs or incredibly drunk off them, as you generally get sick after a while.

Don't give up so easily! Everybody does stupid shit when they drink if they're relatively young, you're still finding your limits, don't turn into one of these "Oh I don't drink, guys" people if you're still young or you'll never enjoy the pleasure of having a well-earned pint after work / getting almost irreparable after exams.
P.S Is really no one in this thread clued up about port? If not you should try it, it is Christmas after all.
So i can drink jagermeister like its nobodys business but the second someone hands me a beer I just cant drink it.
Tonights drink. Figured I'd get something nice.

It's a shame I can't enjoy it as much as I could, I'm all stuffed up.

I'm a little clued up about port but I'm not a huge fan of it on it's own. Blue WKD and port though tastes amazing and is, as my barber described it, "Refreshingly Nailing".
Just remembered that I've got a 12 year old bottle of port lying around my house somewhere... might have to break that one open for christmas.

Strawberry skittle vodka tastes the best in my opinion, the green is dissapointing, the yellow tastes alot like limoncello, purple is a nice flavour, orange is kind of strange, a bit bitter.

I had it once and it was terrible. Literally tasted like I pissed in a can re-sealed it, cooled it and drank it. And it was from my friends house fucking piss-water.
Also I think this is like a 30% abv beer:

Yay TNP. It's interesting. It's basically a distilled stout, so amplified a million times
Very unique taste, and such a sticky, sweet finish. It lingers for a while in your mouth.

So I just did a brewery visit to The Kernel... £30 later

That growler is full of breakfast stout. I am a happy man ;)
