Do they sell that in the US?
i dunno, Id expect it to be sold in the US, since, you know its a whiskey from the US and the brand is also from the US.
On the other hand I can only find 1 commercial on youtube, and its in german. On top of that, the picture I posted is also in german. Pretty weird
And they're selling it here in the supermarkets for 10€, while in the website it was for 26€ IIRC

Only that drink in the back was from lidl, but yeah, theres one across the street

I like lidl.
Anyone else like Wild Turkey? So far, it's my favorite Bourbon.
What is the best way to get shit faced without taking in a ton of calories?I got way too fat over break from absurd alcohol consumption.
I dont know how much calories a certain type of drink would have, but it cant be that much.
And it depends on what you like to drink as well. Straight whiskey cant be too bad, but if you have a cocktail that has sugar and all that, youll be getting the same ammount of alcohol for more calories.
Besides that I dont know much, but if youre watching your calories that hard, its probably to stay healthy, and to stay healthy you shouldnt really be drinking now should you?
A friend of mine brought "some kind of expensive russian Champagne" to the New Year's Eve party I was at, we thought it would be amazing and special.
We were wrong. It tasted like "methyl alcohol" (according to some chick) and we promptly threw it out of the window after a ruined midnight celebration.
Later, after we came back from watching fireworks, we found out from the broken bottle that it was actually of Polish origin and was so cheap/crap that it was meant to be exported to the russian market.

Vodka. That's why girls love it.
But so do I, I'm not hating on it, try some Stolie's
Drank Bacardi Razz and a fruity soda at New Year, the alcohol taste is not very noticeable when mixing but a bit too fruity for me.
I was at a new years party and drank for two days.
The first day, we went for a pokemon drinking game, and I took some beers and some spirit and got a little drunk. The second day, when I started drinking from the beer I had bought, I just couldn't drink too much of it. Took a few sips, and after each of them, my stomach began hurting. Just went for spirits only, and drank a lot of Hot 'n sweet 32%. It's originally meant for shots, but whatever. It was really good to drink normally, at least when I was already a little drunk.
Also, good food is so damn good when you're drinking. Had turkey that day, and it was fucking wonderful.
Amazingly enough, I didn't even have a hangover at all. Best party ever.
And drinks in general, pure vodka, or pure spirits generally is much better than if you blend it with any soda. Only thing that can be good would be rum and coke, since rum normally doesn't taste too good.
I have a tendency to start puking way before I get drunk when drinking too much pure spirits because of the taste :v:

I'm sorry but... this is the only drink IMO.
Wiser's Portfolio describes Special Blend as:
TASTING NOTES
COLOUR Medium amber
NOSE Fresh wood with hints of spice and vanilla - good balance
BODY Smooth
PALATE Subtle sweetness with mild mellow oak
FINISH Clean and compact
For christmas, my girlfriend got me a bottle of Spiced (Which is 43%)

TASTING NOTES
COLOUR Dark amber
NOSE Vanilla with traces of raisins and caramelized toffee
BODY Full body
PALATE Sweet caramelized toffee, dried fruit rounded off with pleasant vanilla
FINISH Sweet and pleasant
The spiced is REALLY sweet, hard to mix with (well with the amount i use....) but a damn good Rye if you ask me

Yeah, supermarket that started in Germany I think.
And where do you live? The US?

Also, Im gonna start selling cocktails in my studio with a couple of friends. Just easy stuff like whiskey & cola and stuff for now because thats what everybody drinks and it comes off cheaper and easier to make. Later on were gonna get more variety going on, Im gonna introduce some classics for people who are interested. Thought about making something like a weekly special which would be a classic cocktail, depending on what I had in stock but yeah, hopefully we'll make enough money to keep going first.
If you have any suggestions for our menu shoot. Were thinking of having the following for now
Whiskey & Coke
Rum & Coke
Gin & Tonic
Vodka & Lemon (actually I think its horrible because its like a vodka sour without the sugar to balance it, but if people drink it at clubs and that shit, oh well)
Vodka & Red Bull
Moscow Mule/Scotch Mule(?)
Maybe the Old Fashioned, since I usually do them for myself as well. And Sours, and other long drinks once I get a shaker.
What about rum flips?

Mojito's and fruit daiquiri's will fly, and are great drinks to learn. Also lots of room for experimentation. Like adding muddled pear to a mojito and topping it with ginger beer.
Man that sounds delicious. We wanted to make Caipirinhas and Mojitos as well, but the problem is we cant get crushed ice. And we only have a mini fridge, no counter or anything, which is kinda ghetto but still
What does everyone think of Monkey Shoulder? Just tried it for the first time. Taste is kind of dull and wooden, just isn't much there. I'm a beginner when it comes to scotch but I can honestly say I enjoy the John Walker Black Label more.

Crush ice by hand? Just put it in the bottom of the boston tin and go to town
and then get my hand bruised because 50 people want mojitos and caipirinhas.
Could work though, lets see how much I can endure

Rolling pins destroy ice. And it's very satisfying.

Yeah, in the US. I went to their site, I thought it was funny how they have 'We love British' everywhere. Off topic, but the best experience I had with the Brits was when they let us have their old Porno mags. I think they were called 'Zoo' and their was another one that I forget. Way better than our Playboy shit. Those things got some mileage on them.

I'm from the uk. Lidl is not the most popular store in the uk.
It doesn't have a great image.
The kind of people that it is associated with is the poor and foreigners.
But to be honest their prices are great and so is the food.

Shit I need to pick up my jager and jd from my friend's house before I go back to uni.
here Lidl is pretty normal. I mean sure its kind of associated with poor people, as well as any other discount stores, but it gets shit done and its not that hard on the wallet
