I did only once, and that was because it was cherry liquor, it was too sweet after a lot of shots, so I totally barfed
There's not much that beats a bottle of spiced mead. That stuff is sooooo good.

so a buddy of mine offered to get me a six pack, and I'm not sure what to get. I've only had miller, fat tire, and some homebrew. are there any good microbrews in the Lincoln, Nebraska area? or should I go imported or commercial domestic?
Anybody ever had Bacardi Oakheart and able to tell me if it's any good?

Got asked by my boss to submit some cocktails for our revamped menu. Any that makes it through will have my name on the menu and website. Aw YES
pretty cool stuff, what are you adding? I finished my menu a while ago, but some girls say that there's not enough sweet drinks. I mean, theres a lot of long drinks, but I didnt put anything that had stuff like Malibu Coconut Rum or whatever, I hate it, even though girls drink that like its water
Well that scotch is going down nicely... My drinking habits are so fucking bad.

Rum+Dr Pepper is good stuff. Although I usually drink Kopparberg, or whiskey when having a relaxed night.
Hoo boy I dropped 50 on two quarts of apple pie moonshine today and didn't expect much. Holy shit was I wrong. It's hitting me hard right now haha and it tastes amazing. Next purchase I can get 12 quarts for $25, the whole thing

Look up the gin bramble too, that's cool. I'm still planning at the moment, but I have a pretty fleshed out idea with Millers Gin, Martini Bianco and elderflower, lemon and sugar, shaken with an egg white to make it nice and velvety. Might try and incorporate mint into it. Idea i've been playing around with that started out having a sea salt spray over the top. I'm after a crisp white colour, but I'm not sure how it will come out, we'll have to wait and see. Also want to try and make a drink with run and black treacle because I think that could be an amazing combination. Maybe a twist on a mai tai or something, replace the orgeat.
Bourbon + mountain dew is quite drinkable.

do we really have to have people say what other people can or cannot enjoy? [editline]19th January 2013[/editline]
Fruit daiquiri's go down very well, especially stawberry. Thats why I didnt want to do the mojito or the caipirinha in the first place. And the Gin Brambles sweetness would come from the fruit juices right? I have some similar cocktails in my menu, for example the Madras, which the girls totally like. I wanted people to understand a bit more about cocktails and alcohol in general while creating this menu, thats why I didnt include simple things like a screwdriver or stuff like that, so that people can try something different and go "oh, this tastes pretty good too! I might have some of this instead of a vodka orange later on" or something. For reference, heres the menu (I included some popular club drinks because thats what everybody drinks anyway).
Jack&Cola Old Fashioned Scotch&Cola Scotch Mule Cuba Libre Tequila Sunrise Greyhound Madras Sex On The Beach (funny how everybody orders Madras instead of this one, which is just a madras with peach schnapps) Moscow Mule Black Russian White Russian Vodka Bull Jäger Bull Jäger Mule (it tastes good, try it) Jäger Sunrise (dont like this one, but my friends said they liked it so its on the menu)
Probably a bit unbalanced to the girls side, but I think a lot of these would be quite palatable. Probably need another rum cocktail or so. btw, have you guys ever drank a cosmopolitan? Is it sweet or something? [editline]19th January 2013[/editline] btw, theres a cocktail lounge in lisbon, the Cinco Bar, that receives pretty good reviews. Maybe you should look in their website, they have some pretty original cocktails http://cincolounge.com/en
Drinking party is actually Friday instead of tonight. I was all ready to get my drink on :C
Cosmo's should be dry, but lots of shitty bars make them sweet. And you don't need a blender for a daiquiri. Classically, it's a very sour drink, but not with fruit. Grab a martini glass or coupette, and chill it, muddle 4 or so strawberries in the bottom of your boston, then add a double shot of white rum, juice of half a lime, and balance with sugar to make it sweet but not sickly, usually around 20ml of sugar syrup. Garnish with a slice of strawberry on the rim of the glass, or a floated mint leaf. You can use this recipe with most fruit. If you want to do a classic daiquiri, do double rum, a whole lime (should come to around a shot) and about 10ml of sugar syrup just to take the sour burn off. The sweet of the bramble comes from the creme de mure, but it's another drink that needs crushed ice. How about something amaretto based, like an amaretto & raspberry sour? 3 or so muddled raspberry, about a shot of lime, half a shot of sugar syrup, double shot of amaretto and a dash of angostura. You can balance it to make a little sweeter, which the raspberry will help with
You can't mix whiskey, you're supposed to enjoy it.
Yeah except you're supposed to drink REAL whisky straight. Bourbon is like the inbred cousin of whisky.
My roommate drinks whiskey, and he got a friend if his to get him some Jim beam bourbon. I think I'm in love. [editline]19th January 2013[/editline] with the bourbon, mind. [editline]19th January 2013[/editline] that friend also got me some Luna Sea which is really great.
