Ok, I've added some more to the SCP. Subjects inside the SCP begin to experience minor auditory and visual halucinations after about 30 minutes of exposure, which become more intense over time. Halucinations vary between subjects, but all seem to include halucinations of a humanoid shadow, which subjects say stares at them from behind corners, but disappears when approached. As halucinations intensify, the figure will get closer and closer to the subject, and will eventually begin speaking to the subject. While in the maze, subjects will become increasingly deranged and delusional, as well as suffer from the previously mentioned physical effects. These delusions include a strong aversion to leaving the maze, which they will attempt to rationalize through a variety of reasons. Eventually, they will act violently to the idea of leaving. After a long period in the maze, the subject will begin to mumble incoherently, and then run into the depths of the maze alone, which also coencides with termination of any communication with the outside world. The key will appear in the location it was discovered if it was inside the maze at the time. [editline]16th May 2011[/editline]
http://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-004 http://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-005
I don't really think that my SCP is really much like either of them at all, other than involving doors and keys.
Ok, I've added some more to the SCP
I don't think the humanoid shadow should 'speak' to the individual, unless you have a specific idea of something it says to them.
Here's that creepy porcelain French doll my Grandmother left when she passed away. (I know, it's late. I had to go dig it up from my attic, and take a picture with my webcam.)
I don't think the humanoid shadow should 'speak' to the individual, unless you have a specific idea of something it says to them.
In that case, does this sound good? The shadow will begin "speaking" to the subject, who will become increasingly violent towards anyone they are in contact with, to the point of physically attacking them at later stages. No subjects have been recovered intact at this stage, so they exact nature of the "speech" remains unknown. Also, I decided to change it so that communication is possible, but becomes increasingly distorted with the mental deterioration of a subject, eventually cutting off entirely upon the subject reaching the "final stage" of the hallucinations.
In that case, does this sound good?
That sounds a lot better. I like the way you built up to this. The 'final stage' idea is also quite good.
Ugh, Listening to the Jim Jones death audio tapes is really disturbing.

Bed Demons or something.
Ok, I've decided to make a rough "Timeline" of symptoms of SCP exposure: 30 Minutes: Minor auditory hallucinations 1 hour: Minor visual hallucinations begin 2 hours: Weak aversion to leaving labyrinth 5 hours: Stronger auditory hallucinations, "shadow" appears in far off distance 7 hours: Fingernails and teeth begin to loosen 12 hours: Hair begins falling out in small amount. Delusions begin. "Shadow" appears more frequently and is approximately 5 meters from subject. Strong auditory hallucinations begin 14 hours: Teeth and fingernails begin falling out. Hair begins falling out in chunks. Skin pigmentation near white. Strong aversion to leaving. Shadow appears only a few feet away from subject. 17 hours: Hair almost completely gone. Fingernails completely gone, and several teeth have fallen out. Skin pigmentation is nonexistent. Shadow is within a foot of subject, and begins speaking "softly". Violent reaction to thought of leaving. 19 hours: Subject's hair, teeth and fingernails are gone. Shadow is speaking to the subject "loudly". Subject reacts violently to others. Will react with physical force if attempt to remove subject from maze is made. Minor communication distortion. Attempts to communicate largely unsuccessful 21 hours: Subject's body is entirely devoid of pigmentation, and they will have stripped out of any clothing they have in their possession, which they will lay in a pile along with all other possessions. Subject will lay down unresponsive and stay there, mumbling incoherently. No communication possible. Heavy communication distortion. 24 hours: Subject abruptly stands, begins screaming, and runs away from where they stand. Communication ends abruptly. Neither subject's remains nor belongings found. Key appears in original finding place (Keyhole of the door in an abandoned orphanage in [DATA EXPUNGED]) What do you guys think?
Ok, I've decided to make a rough "Timeline" of symptoms of SCP exposure
I like the 'Timeline' idea better than just the symptoms suddenly happen idea.
I made some SCP idea... Item# SCP-612 Object Class- Keter Special Containment Procedures: SCP-612 is to be kept hidden underground the town of ██████████ in the United Kingdom. SCP-612 was first found in 1462, 70 years after █████████ Grammar School was founded. All entrances to the underground passages must be sealed, and locked with a 9 digit passcode. Description: Since its first sighting, SCP-612 (Or commonly named: "The Darkness") has been the case of many missing people in the area, most of them were students attending the local Grammar School. "The Darkness" seems to be an old doorframe, which somehow is based on the Victorian Era. Instead of a door, there is eternal darkness. Dr. ████ ████████ has recently been testing with "The Darkness". His conclusions are that of the following: 1. SCP-612 is some kind of living organism. 2. SCP-612 might be a passage to the unknown "The Darkness" is somehow able of consuming its victims through the darkness, many different living creatures have been sent into it, and even after 30 years, never came back out. In Test#███, Dr. ████ ███ tried lighting up "The Darkness" using many different methods. Somehow, "The Darkness" consumed Dr. ████ ███ and fellow testers by grabbing them with the darkness, yet they were 3 meters away. Personnel have stated that sometimes they see glowing dots, surveillance has also noted it. Test Subject Number ████ stated he heard a girl's voice, asking for help, as he saw the lights emerging. If in any situation that SCP-612 somehow leaks out of it's Doorframe, the whole United Kingdom will have to be evacuated. [img_thumb]http://horobox.co.uk/u/Ubermunchkin_1305475386.png[/img_thumb] Artist's Rendition of SCP-612. [using cameras (which by some miracle, always use flash) that attempt to illuminate SCP-612, are consumed by it.] What are your thoughts on it?
It would be better to ask the SCP community what they think, they're much better at writing this kind of stuff.
