Back with another horror manga to share with you fine people. Left hand of God-Right hand of the Devil (sources) http://www.mangareader.net/989-38795-1/left-hand-of-god-right-hand-of-the-devil/chapter-1.html http://www.ourmanga.com/Left_Hand_of_God_Right_Hand_of_the_Devil/1/957773_e Pics related: (It is filled with much more graphic images than these but I don't want to give too much away). Summary: The 6 books contains 5 horror stories related to a primary school kid named Sou. Sou has an ability to foresee supernatural events in his dream and even make changes that would eventually happen in the reality. The 5 stories are the Eroded Scissors, the Disappeared Rubber, ,the Tongue of the Spider Queen, the Black Picture-book and Shadow Dead. All of the scary stories are linked by his unique experience and tied together with extensive blood and gore images that may leave some people unnerved to say the least, Illustrated and authored by Umezu Kazuo.
I swear to god the writer of this comic can't think of any other way to write screams. There are whole pages where the only dialog is "UWAHHHH" about eight times. That and the art is all over the place.

IMO I like the "cluttery" drawing style it adds depth to the picture so you really get sucked into the story.

I don't like "Left hand of god, right hand of devil" very much but I'm loving "Parasyte"
Thanks Archonet! I was trying to find some reasonably good stuff on the official creepypasta site and then I refreshed and got a blank page. :saddowns: It seems to be temporarily down. Anyways, content!!!
Why didn't the kid just stall the car. Speaking of cars, does anyone have the link to that video of a bunch of kids who get stuck driving around the same country road?

All of Uzumaki was pretty :wtc:, Parasyte is good but it doesn't have the effect of Uzumaki. Gyo was really good, but still not as good. Flesh Colored Horror was ok, I'm going to reread it soon though.
Yeah, Uzumaki was an interesting read... But the later part of the story was really slow. Spoiler: [sp]Where the town gets destroyed by the hurricanes, and they are trying to get out[/sp] That was REALLY slow for me.
Just read the Spiral story, I am so confused, what exactly happened? [editline]2nd June 2011[/editline]
Yeah, Uzumaki was an interesting read... Uzumaki confuses me so much. How can all those crazy things happen and everyone just sort of accepts it? I mean, fuck, [sp]zombie/vampire pregnant women[/sp] aren't something you just take in stride.
Thing is [sp] you can't [/sp] .
At the start Shuichi could. Wont Spoiler it, you see him arrive by train in like the first few minutes.

Also, I'm thinking about making a horror manga thread considering that so many people seem to be interested in them, If you support this idea rate Agree if not Disagree first to 10 votes is the decider. So, i've read Gyo, Amigara Fault, and Uzumaki. Which others should I read?
So, i've read Gyo, Amigara Fault, and Uzumaki. If your more into sci-fi gore try Parasyte or if you want creepy weird gore try Left hand of God right hand of the devil.

What's the name of that story/creepypasta with a guy on an american base in germany during the winter? I only read the start. He arrives by bus.
I rad uzumaki about 4 years back and I think it is great because its a very special kind of horror. The things that happen in the comic are completely batshit, but that is not what makes them scary. Its the context, everything around the crazyness, especially the charakters. Because They are believable people that we grow attatched to. And suddenly their reality twists and bends out of shape. And they know as good as we that things like they happen in the comic are impossible. But they still happen and they can do nothing about it, because it is the reality they have to live in. This is a very interesting reader - protagonist reation and you can analyze the fuck out of how this is achieved, but generally, what it does is, it takes you back to the time of fairy tales. Listening to fairy tales, I always knew it was bullshit, about witches and evil wolves that eat people whole. But right then they happened and while I was told a story, my kids brain couldn't escape the scary realm of the story, no matter how good I knew that it was not possible in the real world. There is also another situation that captures the same feeling. The Nightmare. Often when I have a nightmare, I am well aware that I am dreaming. But then I also know that I am at the mercy of my subcontious, wich doesn't even need an image or a sound I can grasp to show my the autonomic face of all my fears. That is pretty much what makes Uzumaki scary. It is unrealitic nonsese, but for the time you read the comic, it is a reality that the protagonists are trapped within, and their relation with us sucks us in with them
