They were no paintings... damn that one truly is scary
Oh my god... THEY WERE PHOTOGRAPHS! :gonk:
I'd be skeptical of the fact that that is not a photo, if it wasn't for the messed up reflection of a window in the leftmost sphere.
That just can't be oil
I was bored today and decided to write a bit for shits and giggles. It might not be very good, but I'll let you guys be the judge of that.
August 8th, now that’s a date I’ll never forget. I remember it was late at night but I don’t remember a specific time. I had been on the road maybe half an hour, on my way back up from a family reunion in Cornwall and up until that particular point the night had gone great, but the rain clouds that had been hanging around all day had finally began to crack, drizzling at first but it got progressively worse. About five minutes later it was storming, thunder and everything. It should be noted here that I really hate driving in the rain and I probably border on having an actual phobia of it, that coupled with my already fatigued state was something that could surely prove dangerous on the road. So I continued, albeit cautiously, until I saw a sign in the distance lit up, glowing and illuminating the structure next to it like a shining beacon. Luckily enough it turned out it was a motel, one of those little roadside inn type things. Perfect. I pulled into the car park and eyed the building. On the outside it seemed like a nice place. It was small and cosy looking, quite old too I think. Directly in front of the parking area was a second smaller building, probably a storage shed or something. I finally killed the engine and stepped out into the rain, it was really chucking it down now. The rain fell heavily on me and soaked my clothes thoroughly. That was probably the worst storm I had seen for quite some time. Eventually I made my way into the lobby. The first thing that immediately struck me about the place was the temperature; it seemed oddly cold, chilling even. Nonetheless this was obviously not enough to dissuade me, I was too knackered to let something like that keep me from a good sleep. Taking in my surroundings, I spotted the front desk. Behind it sat an old woman; she was quite short with greying hair and big blue eyes. I don’t remember much about what was said, I suppose I was too tired at that point, though I do seem to recall that she was a very sweet woman, very “grandmotherly”. Anyway, the next thing I knew I had gone to my newly acquired room and thrown myself onto the bed, not even having the energy to get out of my drenched clothes. What followed was possibly one of the worst and most terrifying nights I have slept through thus far. The entire night I was plagued with nightmares. Not just a few nightmares either, there were probably dozens, and those are just the ones I can remember. They weren’t average nightmares either they were more like flashbacks of the time I had been on the property but they were… wrong somehow. Sometimes it would just be little things wrong, one example of this I can vividly remember is one in which I replayed the moment I pulled into the car park over again, but instead of being in the drivers seat I was in the passenger seat with the car seemingly driving it’s self. Those ones weren’t particularly frightening, but they were somewhat unsettling in ways that I’m unlikely ever to be able to explain. Others were stranger still; the scenes would play out the same except that I would be filled with an overwhelming sense of dread. Then there were the worst ones. They were the kind of nightmare that seemed so incredibly sinister. Those ones tended to play out exactly the same, but the old lady, the owner, instead of being the sweet and harmless woman I had met was instead replaced with a heavily decayed corpse, usually eyeless. She was always riddled with maggots and those holes in her flesh, those terrible sores, exposing her rotting organs and protruding bones. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to rid those images from my memory. After what could at best be described as “the most horrifying night of my life” I decided to leave with quite some haste. One thing that instantly caught my eye, though, was that the building seemed far more dilapidated in the morning light. What seemed cosy the previous night now seemed dirty and quite disgusting. The walls were coated in dark grime and layers of dust, the colour in almost all of the paint and wallpaper had long since faded. Making my way back to the lobby, the extent of the decay became more and more evident. I eventually reached the front desk however the old woman was nowhere to be seen. Naturally I assumed she was busy tending to some important matter and I didn’t exactly want to stick around much after what had happened the night before, so I set my room key down on the front desk along with a tip and left. Outside the building was equally as decrepit as it had seemed inside, with parts of the gutter just barely hanging on and leaking heavily and parts of the wooden beams along the outside were rotting. Again, I didn’t feel like sticking around too much so I hopped in my car quite hastily and continued my journey. Not far down the road I encountered a petrol station and decided to stock up on both fuel and an energy drink for the upcoming day. While I was paying the cashier the man behind me spoke, though I didn’t realise he was talking to me at first. “Hey…” He started, trying to attract my attention. “Hey, excuse me sir?” he continued. Realising he was in fact talking to me I turned and, rather rudely likely due to my bad night’s sleep, I grunted “yeah what?” He continued, “Is that your car over there?” he said as he pointed towards my vehicle. “The same one that was parked over at the motel all night?” suspicious as to his rather odd inquiry I responded “Yes, why?” the local continued with his questioning “What were you doing all night?” another odd question, I thought. Starting to become confused and perhaps a little frustrated with the interrogation I replied “Well I stayed there overnight, why, is that a problem?” The man seemed thoroughly perplexed at this response. “But that’s impossible…” he paused with some hesitation and concern. “That motel is abandoned. The owner died years ago.” He stammered. I fell silent, not knowing what an appropriate response to that would be. As one would expect, I rapidly finished my business there and left equally as rapidly. Even now you wouldn’t get me back to that motel even if you paid me. And that is why I’ll always remember the 8th of August.
[sp]also quite generic[/sp]
Red Dead Redemption Written by me Contains spoilers A few days ago while browsing for games to play I found a strange PC version of Red Dead Redemption, Witch has never been released for PC. I was interested so I downloaded it and read the readme.txt. It had the URL for the download and it says that I needed a specific emulator to run it, because it has never been ported to PC. I downloaded the emulator and began playing. The only thing I noticed different from my 360 Copy of the game was that the “Press Y to get on horse” was changed to whatever key I has binded it to (In my case E). Nothing was wrong with the game, it crashed a few times but I saved often so there was no problem. I played about 4 hours, in that time I had a volcanic pistol, a good repeater a few outfits and I had gotten pretty far in the story. I had gotten up to the mission in witch (SPOILERS) Bonnie is being hung by some bandits. In a large fight, that seemed larger than the fight in the 360 version I had killed all the bandits and was left only with Bonnie hanging with a noose around her neck. At first I tried to deadeye the rope like in one of the stranger missions, but it didn’t work. I walked up to her and tried to cut the rope by pressing X (Or h in my case) to cut her down like in the real versions. Nothing worked; I had no way to get her down. She struggled for about 30 seconds, Whispering “John. John help!” before going limp. After she died I had the options to cut her down. I did so and John slowly cut the rope, catching the body and laying it on the floor. No game over screen or fade. She was just dead. There was nothing on my map, No objective to follow. Nothing. I decided to visit her father at McFarlane’s ranch. When I got through the white gate a cut scene started. One I had never seen in the real version. John knocked on the door, waited a few seconds and then pushed the door open, before walking into the house to find her father hung from the ceiling near the stairs. John frowned and left the building before leaving me stood outside the ranch on my horse. I went quickly to armadillo and tried to talk to people. Nobody acknowledged me at all. I couldn’t buy anything and my room in the saloon had been sold to another person, and I couldn’t buy it again. I walked into the sheriff’s office to see him sat, smugly at the desk writing. I tried to see what he was writing but bumped into him and he stood up and shot me to death, even shooting my body without reloading, constantly shooting me. The normal DEAD screen showed up but didn’t go. I waiting over 15 mins waiting for it to fade and leave me at my last save, but nothing happened. And it hadn’t crashed again. I closed the emulator and started it again, Opening the game and my latest save. All that showed was the DEAD screen. I restarted my computer and booted into XP instead of Windows 7. I launched it again and saw 3 saves, all at different points of the game. All 3 showed the DEAD screen.
Easily one of the worst "creepypastas" I have ever read
Would someone be kind enough to re-link that story of the man who learned that he was everyone in the goddamn world? I really liked that one.

Probably one of the best creepypasta I have ever read. It's so sinister yet so plausible; it makes you think what our government will do under extreme pressure and if the wrong people were guiding it. http://creepypasta.wikia.com/wiki/Button_Day

Could someone please post that story where this guy has this head fallowing him, and who ever he tells it about, they can see it too.
http://www.creepypasta.com/second-sight/ Is this it? [editline]23rd June 2011[/editline] Oh do you mean that one with the person who tells the guy about the head, then he sees it, so he tells a blind person about it to get rid of it?
There was a sudden knock at the door, And i walked in a motion to open it. Quickly i retracted my hand and a sudden thought shot through my head. Who would be here at 3Am? I looked out the window and it was my best asian friend peter. I opened it and asked him what was wrong. He said that something had happened in fontana with his family and he didn't want to be alone that night since they were stuck there for at least another day or two. I let him in and let him stay in the guest room while i got ready to go to work at 4. Looking at the clock on the wall, I realize that i still had an hour or so to get ready so i might as well talk to him and ask him what happened. I walked into the guest room and he looked at me with completely tired eyes, Bloodshot even. "Dude, What happened to your family?" I said, with a slight sense of empathy. "They got into an accident just outside of fontana, My mom is in the hospital, She's lost the baby... My older sister is fine as well as my dad and 3 brothers." he spoke. "What about your little sister?" "She's.... She's not okay." "what do you mean?" "She was the one who called. She started speaking in hmong to me... She was talking about some kind of thing... A Le'Ak, If i'm not mistaken, Attacking my mother" "The fuck is a Le'Ak?" "It's a old fairy tale monster from our culture. A Flying head from a witches enchantment.... It takes the blood of unborn children and eats them from the womb of the mother..." he said, "is that why your mother lost the baby?" I asked. "Dude, It's a myth." I had enough of peter's ghost stories and went to work. When i came back a letter was at my computer desk, and peter was gone, A window and the bed in the guest room was shattered. it read " Le'Ak Attacked me while you were out, The window was broken when i killed it. I must preform the ritual for purging the soul of the human so it does not rise to attack again. I may need your help. Meet me at the graveyard tonight at 9pm." "well what the fuck, Maybe it's real after all." I arrived at the graveyard right on time, And peter was at the gate, and looked distraught. Continue Y/N?

I'm not posting content, just replying to a previous thread I am too bored to quote. I found this picture comforting, actually.
Open the door a crack and ask what this is all about. Also, add more options and stuff for it to be even more awesome. Also also, since it's the weekend and i'm not planning on sleeping any time soon, i'm going to play a little something called Yume Nikki, which according to TV Tropes is like Earthbound meets Silent Hill, and has some rather disturbing themes. Also, UBOOOAAAA apparently.
