Does anyone have that recording of some Australian guy talking about some monster taking peoples legs. It was posted here a while ago
Found it after having too go through a shit ton of crazy conspiracy theory sites. http://bitey.com/flash/pilliga/pilliga.html
You know what's creepy, Megaupload went down and the SOPA and PIPA bills could pass! Boo!
Forest Temple music was always unsettling to me as a kid. I never really liked it, it just sounded...off. I still don't like it, to be honest. The entire tune just bleeds something...off.

[editline]20th January 2012[/editline] If you've seen it... -shudders-
Found it after having too go through a shit ton of crazy conspiracy theory sites. http://bitey.com/flash/pilliga/pilliga.html
What the fuck. I feel sorry for this guy. Whatever he seen, he scarred him for life. I notice that it's a very sensitive topic for him to talk about, but he could of give a bit more detail.
Dammit, I want to watch it but I'm home alone and I'm snowed in. Is it really bad?
No theres nothing to watch, it's just listening to the conversation with the words provided.
I remember that Seeds of Anxiety manga from a while ago. It's a simple yet spooky read.
For those wanting too know more about the Pilliga Scrub thing (don't click until you've watched it) [sp] I read up on the internet. The "Happy Days Stays Retreat" that is mentioned at the end of the video does not exist in New Zealand or Australia and no matches were found for any such place around the world. The caller was calling on a radio show about cyptozoology. He was anonymous, but it's believed he was likely just lying or possibly a friend trying to boosts the podcast's views with something interesting. In short, the thing is fake. The caller never saw anything and it's just a hoax. Sorry to spoil it, but you were warned.[/sp]
From here. Description of how cordyceps can affect humans and turn them into zombieshrooms.
The first symptoms of infection are psychological the host becomes withdrawn and emotionless. Later stages of infection find the hosts being drawn to dark moist locations, under bridges, Storm sewers, parking garages and musty basements are common spots. After the body ceases locomotion for over a day a chemical is released that keeps the host, aware and alive but unable to move their body voluntarily. Now the process in which the parasite slowly turns the body into its spore factory begins. The bones grow up and out creating a V shape, the skin calcifies and hardens, almost turning it to an exoskeleton. The cordyceps’ cocktail of neurotoxins activates a base instinct of survival the brain, if approached a primary instinct to survive kicks in, and the host will attack and kill if necessary. Motion during the transformation slows the maturation of the spores, so the cordyceps stay stationary in dark places during most of the transformation. As the transformation progresses the skull splits and a stalk protrudes from the opening. At this point the maturation of the spores is almost complete. The Final stage of the cordyceps’ cycle is airborne infection. Through the entire process the spores have been inert. In a final act of evolutionary biological war the spores become infectious. The switch from inert to infectious releases a chemical that pours down the stalk and into the exposed brain. This chemical neutralizes the chemical paralyzing the host. For the first time in the approximate four-week maturation the host is able to move voluntarily. Adrenalin and panic are the means by which this cordyceps fungus perpetrates. Aware and able to move the host will attempt to get help, moving to populated areas and putting all those in the area in danger, as the spores spray out of the stalk into the air. The host will die within minutes. The best way to take of a cordyceps Infected is to kill it with fire. There is no cure.
What if it one day mutates to something similar like this :tinfoil:

That might help.

Yes! I knew it sounded familiar. I wouldn't mind watching a stream of it, really. Well, I wouldn't mind until it was time to sleep, but you know what I mean.

Not likely to cause any nightmares or lost sleep, but I still think this is still pretty disturbing.

Edinburgh Old Town is creepy as fuck during silent winter nights. There was a story about a guy who had an apartment in the old town, and he was doing some DIY work in his bathroom one day. During this he discovered a tunnel adjacent to his bathroom wall, and went inside. 2 weeks later, the police arrived at the house because nobody had been in or out of the apartment yet. They found he had caught the bubonic plague, and had died on his bed after succumbing to the disease.
The things that disturb me are the singing from Mickey and his creepy facial expressions.
Oddly enough, those two things are exactly what made this seem more funny than creepy for me.
This is someone dying while having an MRI scan. Before you die, your brain releases tons and tons of endorphins that make you feel a range of emotions. This is why when people die, they see things like “a light” and they feel so euphoric. [sp]This isn't even what an MRI looks like. It's just from some show called The Walking Dead. Still looks pretty cool.[/sp]
