It wasnt going to be a serious movie, if people thought the first was serious, they must be crazy. It was so corny and soppy that i was pissed off tht the oppurtunity was missed. Doesnt mean it is a dislikeable movie. Was a great experience. Not in terms of acting performance or characterisations and story. Avatar wasnt amazing for the same reason, it was a great experience but it was a hunk of shit recycled if you think about it. Great :smug:
Thats what I was trying to get across
I would only watch it for the giant ass battle in the woods
Godzilla isn't a "serious" movie either and that's pretty good. Indiana Jones is half-way tongue in cheek and that's ridiculously good.
Indiana Jones movies are so different... They are superb films godzilla was fun but i dont have much care for it. Transformers is modern sap, doesnt mean its shit, plenty of worse sap out there GI joe was a lot worse than transformers 2
Am I the only one who went into the movie to see Transformers 2 just for the special effects? They were great, and I was happy
This movie was beyond horrible. I could barely stay awake in the theater when I first watched it. I fell asleep next time I did while at my house.

[editline]09:11AM[/editline]
Transformers is modern sap, doesnt mean its shit, plenty of worse sap out there
Yes it does.
Megan Fox is a horrible actor. She's not even all that hot. I find no redeeming qualities in her.

Both aren't critically acclaimed, the second is worse than the first but not by as much as people are saying. The people that really like the first one, really hate this one. There is where my confusion lies. Besides I now think that it doesn't really deserve this much attention anyway. :rubshandstogetheran
:rubshandstogetheran [editline]01:45PM[/editline] ..... I've never seen an emote quite like this...

There is where my confusion lies. Besides I now think that it doesn't really deserve this much attention anyway. :rubshandstogetheran
To be honest T1 and t2 are extremely different. First off most of the robots are a bit more deeply constructed characters, as opposed to - oh cool look another robot to blow shit up. Secondly the plot held up together far better. It wasn't insane jumping across everywhere. Thirdly it didn't absolutely abuse orange and teal as the second one did. And most important of all, the comical moments were well spaced. They were there, they were common, but the movie was not made out of them. T1 is an action movie with cool robots and special effects targeted at a younger audience. T2 on the other hand is an action comedy targeted at a braindead audience. You know I was at least hoping for the two small robots to heroically sacrifice themselves as a small redeeming quality to them, but they had to make a joke out of even that.
Thats it. I'm going to see this so I can see why excatcly this movie is so bad
Transformers 2 started off well but it all came crashing down in the end ( literally ) Bay accepted it did from fan response but completely got the wrong end of the stick for the next one ( WE WANT MORE ROBOT FIGHTS AND LESS SHITTY ACTORS NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND! )
( WE WANT MORE ROBOT FIGHTS AND LESS SHITTY ACTORS NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND! )
With ya there mate. Should've been completely robots :v:
It's a "it's so bad, it's good" genre. Second movie was good.
i like it :frown:

Mindless balls out fun, i enjoyed it. If you cannot dumb your mind down enough for films of this type then don't bother watching them. I mean lets be honest here we all known what we're getting when bay makes a film, you just accept it.
I have dumbed down my mind to watch hilariously shallow movies and enjoyed it, Crank, Die Hard, this movie is not like those in the slightest. It is a pain to watch. Transformers 1 was a movie I enjoyed just out of nostalgia, it's like "Oh I remember this! That show was so silly!" and it added some new little twists on the original. Transformers 1 was like watching the old cartoon in HD to me.
I have dumbed down my mind to watch hilariously shallow movies and enjoyed it, Crank, Die Hard, this movie is not like those in the slightest.
Die hard was a great movie. Crank wasn't a great movie, but it wasn't bad, and it sure was entertaining. You shouldn't be able to dumb yourself down enough to like pure bad movies like Transformers 2, though.
That's what I'm saying, that movie was hardly an oscar worthy movie but it was really enjoyable. T2 is not.
Crank and die hard are NOTHING like transformers At all... Its not even mindless entertainment becuase those were great movies
I didn't enjoy it at all. Annoying ass-scenes with Megan Fox and just overall annoyingness. I expected it to be a lot more kickass. PS: I know you're all thinking "What the fuck, how can Megan Fox ass-scenes be annoying?!" well, it crops up so much in the film it just gets annoying. Plus, Megan Fox is a bit of a generic film-whore.
The CGI was awful. No redeeming factor.
Crank and die hard are NOTHING like transformers At all... Those movies were BANG BANG SHOOT DEAD JOKE SHOOT DEAD and they were good.
It's a "it's so bad, it's good" genre. Second movie was good.
No, no, a million times no. [editline]11:33PM[/editline]
You are honestly telling me that Crank and Die Hard had engaging and interesting plots with characters that you actually cared about?
Yes.
I'm not saying what I mean correctly and I don't think I can.
I thought it was ok, I mean come on at the very least the special effects were sorta cool.
I'm not saying what I mean correctly and I don't think I can.
Could you word that in a way that makes sense.
You are honestly telling me that Crank and Die Hard had engaging and interesting plots with characters that you actually cared about?
crank and die hard were great movies, full stop
Could you word that in a way that makes sense.
I'm not conveying my argument in a way that allows you to understand it.
I'm not conveying my argument in a way that allows you to understand it.
You make no sense! :argh:
