I am against child circumsision, but once a child reaches ~13/starts puberty and the foreskin can't be retracted, after trying creams and other treatments it is a valid and safe option before infection.
there's no disadvantages to doing it or not
whatever people want to do to their children's dicks is none of my business
The minutes I had with my fore skin were the best in my life, I wish we were never seperated.
One day I'll find him, on a newborn and gracefully take him back.
I don't understand why circumcision exits in the first place. Who thought this shit up?

I want my foreskin back.

why do they have the right to mutilate their children for no medical reason?
I was reading a while ago that the only reason men ever had foreskins in the first place was to protect their dicks from harsh weather conditions, back when we were living in the desert and whatnot. Apparently it's just natural evolution that men will shed their foreskins, as they no longer serve a purpose.
Not saying I agree necessarily just throwing it out there.

Because of religion.
Because of religion.
What religion makes you mutilate your penis?
What religion makes you mutilate your penis?
judaism
why do they have the right to mutilate their children for no medical reason?
they probably don't
but it's become a common thing here now over many years so we gotta roll with the choice being there
Personally I'm against, if only because it gets less sensitive and the health arguments are really stupid if you wash regularly. Just... Pull the foreskin back under the shower?
Then again, I think it's okay for medical reasons. I just think the "it looks cleaner" argument is BULLshit (no girls in Belgium think this way).

I've never met any girl that thinks that. I'd suspect it's a US only thing.

Do parents have the right to cut open their child and remove flesh in any other part of their body, just for religious or aesthetic reasons? Why does it only apply to the dick?
Saying "it's been this way for ages, we should keep it that way" is a terrible argument.
i remember reading a while ago about some guy who tried to do his own circumcision with a pair of nail clippers, didnt go too well apparently...
How so?
If he has problems with his penis he needs to get it checked out, I don't get why people are so afraid to get their genitals checked :zombie:
"yo dawg your penis is way outta wack, you gotta go take it to a pit stop or something"
mutilate isn't really the right term

There is a large stigma with people who believe that their child should look, and be like the parents. I find it disgusting that parents do such a procedure on the grounds of religion to a child who doesn't even know, or understand it, let alone give them a choice.
It's also sickening of the double standard that female circumcision is outlawed in America, but it's A-Ok to cut a portion of a boy's penis for a myriad of ridiculous reasons.
I'm getting circumcised next Friday, due to the fact that keep getting infections.
I'm circumsized and I'm completely happy with it. But it does seem fair to wait until the child is older to make the decision for himself.

Because back when they came up with it it was much healthier due to people being unable to clean themselves often.
I'm (You guys are going to fucking kill me for this) Religious so, Yes, Not a religioun thing though, you can also get infections and circumsision lasts longer in the bed.
I think Circumcision is retarded. Of course not if it is a medical reason, but mainly it is a religious thing. They believe they are created by god. Why the fuck would god make a hat on our dick if we're not supposed to use it.
"This is how I made you. This is how you should be. Oh ops i forgot about the hat on your dick. Cut it off. I'm too lazy."

And so do you believe that the parent has a right to decide that for their children?
Any one feel completely free to correct me if I'm wrong, but here's where I think I heard circumcision came from:
Way back when, uncircumcised people had unhygienic penises, and possibly contracted diseases from such. Dirt and bacteria got caught in the foreskin, so thus, their penises became dirty.
Jewish people thought "well, if we cut this skin off, dirt and such can't be caught in it!"
Back then, considering things, that was a smart thing to do.
Cut off the skin that the bacteria gets caught in, then less of a big problem!
In the present time, we know better and can easily clean our penises, preventing disease and unhygienic penises.
Like I said, feel free to tell me if I'm wrong.
I have no problem with people being religious. But I do have a problem with them forcing it onto their children, especially when it involves cutting up someones wanger.
A parent should not have the right to force a permanent body modification on a child too young to consent without medical necessity.
There is no valid reason why someone in the western world needs to be circumcised at birth. If they get infections etc then yes but other than that no
It makes it last longer in bed, and some girls think circumsized penises are considered "cleaner"
That's because it has been desensitized. Lasting longer has to do with how much sensation you feel.
I'm getting circumcised next Friday, due to the fact that keep getting infections.
Prepare for 2 weeks of agony :v:
or maybe the doctor that operated on me fucked up, I dunno. it was the most painful recovery period of my life either way.
And so do you believe that the parent has a right to decide that for their children?
No, But, Like I said, You can get infections and stuff.
