Huh. Here in the U.S. (well, at least around where I live) being uncircumcised is pretty taboo. I could be completely misinformed, but aren't uncircumcised penises more high-maintenance? Don't you have to peel it back every so often and clean it out? ^If that's true I'll get my (future) son circumcised. Spare him the trouble.

"High-maintenance" is a weird way of describing it. It's roughly as "high-maintenance" as any other body part you clean, and needs a lot less maintenance than say teeth.
So, FP, what are your opinions on circumcision?
As a woman and lover of penises, I prefer it to be cut. I'm not into turtle-necks.
Secondly, many women I know cant stand the sight of an uncircumcised penis.
As a female I find it weird for guys to have it circumcised. But here in Australia it's abnormal to have that done. Unless for medical reasons.
I've never understood why this has always been such a huge debate on the internet.
Yeah, this. I'm uncircumcised and all these threads make me feel like I'm some kind of freak with health problems.

I've read over the health benefits and detriments of circumcision over the past couple days, to me it seems really unnecessary and more of a traditional, religious or even cosmetic procedure. Although I will admit that it is not a big detriment (IFDONERIGHT) to your penis, it doesn't have solid benefits either and you do lose pleasure, but it is not certain if it is even notice able. In my opinion it should be done later on in life, although more difficult the child should have a say in something being removed from his body surgically. Overall it probably is not that big of a issue, although it is pretty dumb.
Circumcision isn't a cultural, religious, or traditional thing in my family, but it's done to prevent any further pain. The irony is that they're predominantly, and very, Catholic. My father was circumcised at 26 due to the foreskin becoming unbearably tight when he'd get erections. It happened to him, my grandfather, and great-grandfather, and it sucks. So, he had it done to me at birth to prevent the same thing from happening. I'm fine with it, but I'm probably going to do the same if I have a boy.

I know there are medical reasons to get it done, but I don't see a point unless it is necessary, for example just because someone has a appenix(useless) complication does not mean we should start cutting out everyone's appenix at birth. (I know shit example, studys show that it might have some benefits after all but you get the point.) Also foreskins are sold for skin graphs, cosmetic surgery and some skin creams I believe. Which is hilarious because the procedure costs money and they make money from it. (Although i do not believe all hospitals sell them.)
[img_thumb]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/69/Prepuce_202.jpg[/img_thumb] Agreed Also female circumcision includes cutting off the Clitoris so no it's not the same thing at all.
Dude WHAT. No. My penis looks NOTHING like that. Hell, half the time my foreskin isn't even covering the head. :ohdear: [editline]28th September 2011[/editline]
As a female I find it weird for guys to have it circumcised.
As a woman and lover of penises, I prefer it to be cut. I'm not into turtle-necks.
final answer, because of this everyone who says stay uncut is wrong
final answer, because of this everyone who says stay uncut is wrong
As if she speaks for all women?
This debate isn't going to go anywhere meaningful from here, because as I said before, we all have a huge bias. That bias being our dicks. Also, who the fuck is NicoleEmilid?
final answer, because of this everyone who says stay uncut is wrong

As a female I find it weird for guys to have it circumcised. But here in Australia it's abnormal to have that done. Unless for medical reasons.
Ahem!
Ahem!
but she's australian so it isn't really relevant to me
Anyone who pulls that fucking retarded 'turtleneck' response is stupid because if you see a guy's dick when he's ready to thrust it into you then the foreskin is going to be retracted and it's going to look cut anyway.
but YOU'RE australian so it isn't really relevant to me
Fixed that for you.
Is circumcision even possible if I have at least two decent sized veins going over the length of my dick? I mean I'd imagine myself bleeding out if a doctor ever snipped my foreskin off.
As a woman and lover of penises, I prefer it to be cut. I'm not into turtle-necks.
It's weird that everyone from the US seems to be in preference of circumcision, not saying anything about the US, though. It's a much more performed thing there, so it makes sense i guess. But most people here (Including me :v:) prefer uncircumcised, but that's likely because it's MUCH less common here.
Well, I'm circumcised now. It hurts so fucking bad.
That picture which I won't quote because i've seen enough sock dong for one day is a pretty extreme version of what a foreskin can look like. Most of the time it will either only just cover the head or go slightly over the top.

And I'm guessing a lot are from America.
The Tasmanian President of the Australian Medical Association (AMA), Haydn Walters, has stated that the AMA would support a call to ban circumcision for non-medical, non-religious reasons.
It's so out dated that even some one from backwater Australia is against it. And we all joke that they inbreed over there.
In the Netherlands, the Royal Dutch Medical Association (KNMG) stated in 2010 that non-therapeutic male circumcision "conflicts with the child’s right to autonomy and physical integrity." They called on doctors to inform caregivers seeking the intervention of the (in their assessment) medical and psychological risks and lack of convincing medical benefits. They stated that there are as good reasons for legal prohibition of male circumcision as exist for female genital mutilation.

The Roman Catholic Church formally condemned the ritual observance of circumcision and ordered against its practice in the Ecumenical Council of Basel-Florence in 1442.
They're neutral on it now. But I thought that most American's were very religious. In catholic faiths.
Well, I'm circumcised now. It hurts so fucking bad.
And you will eventually lose some feeling as well...
As a female I find it weird for guys to have it circumcised. But here in Australia it's abnormal to have that done. Unless for medical reasons.
Yup, pretty much. [editline]30th September 2011[/editline] My problem here "conflicts with the child’s right to autonomy and physical integrity." [editline]30th September 2011[/editline]
[img_thumb]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/69/Prepuce_202.jpg[/img_thumb]
wow I'd almost be for circumcision if uncircumcised penis' looked like that good thing they don't
Why were you circumcised just now? Anyway, you can grow it back if you want. Google it.
I posted earlier that I was getting circumsised due to infections.
imo it shouldn't be done to someone unless they want it or it's needed for medical reasons. As long as people are happy with their own bodies I could care less if they're cut or not
I find it funny when people post pictures of very uncommon and easily treated medical problems with uncircumcised penises. It reminds me of abstinence-only sex-ed classes posting pictures of STDs and then telling kids abstinence is the only way. Sure, STDs happen, but they're the exception to the rule (well as long as you're not a retard) and using them as a reason to discourage sex is a pretty damn big stretch of logic. Same idea here with uncircumcised penises.
it's a fucking penis why do you care so much about it
it's a fucking penis why do you care so much about it
Because, some women find uncircumcised penises gross. I've seen one in my life and was disgusted.
Because, some women find uncircumcised penises gross. I've seen one in my life and was disgusted.
Less penis for you then.
Because, some women find uncircumcised penises gross. I've seen one in my life and was disgusted.
have you had a labiaplasty?
