Isn't the PS3 port of Bayo horrible?
Oh yeah, I've heard something along the lines of that.
But there probably should be a demo for it on PSN (there is on Xbox Live), so you could probably download said demo off of their network and then see how it runs and decide from there.
Heavy Rain is a must
Heavy Rain is an interesting experiment but the story, which it is its main focus, has so many holes and there's so little replay value that it's not really worth it. OP also says he doesn't consider it a game.
Killzone 2 it's pretty basic fps on console. Pretty good graphics and good story (in my opinion). If you really start to like the series you might want to buy killzone 3 too. But story in that is much more idiotic compared to 2.

Killzone 2 was great fun, but Killzone 3 feels more like 5 minutes of gameplay, cutscene, 5 minutes of gameplay, cutscene, vehicle segment, cutscene, 5 minutes of gameplay.

A must see.

except vanquish

Vanquish was a fantastic game, it was both a mocking of cover based shooters and one of the best cover based shooters released in recent years.
