So Moopsie, how's becoming admin coming along :smug:?
Auuugh, I hate writing discussions.
Let me be lazy in peace.
I thought it was terrible to be honest, but it's hard to call it bad. Too much was going on in the background of the development, I think Kojima was trying but Konami kept fucking with him since they wanted to go Pachinko
At least the story isn't so integral to the game, it's mainly just filling a gap that was untold, and the points that are made in it still work out fine
That's why I say it's a good game. It's definitely not terrible. The gameplay is some of the most solid in the series. The overall story is pretty good, even if it's not super integral to the rest of the plotline. It's just that it's so disjointed. It has none of the nice, continuous feel of the story of the previous games. I really think that's mostly Konami to blame. From what I heard, they basically halted development to just advertise the game for months for no reason. Why? It's the end of MGS. It's gonna sell like hot cakes no matter how much advertising you do.

I think the most obvious problem it has is that it lost that MGS quirk to it. Quiet was almost there, but she just felt out of place in the end.

And Kaz and his burgers, that was pretty funny
I seriously finished my milky tea within a minute :pudge:
Postal, all I see is your message deleted and that damn dog walking across.
Why.
Why do you subject us to this?
I need to become a moderator for even just a day.
A genocide of bad posters can be done in a single day, I can save this forum.

The gameplay was fantastic in the game, which lends a lot to why its a great game. The issue is the story, and it doesn't really have that sorta Metal Gear story to go along with it. It feels lacking. In my opinion the game needed to stop they story at the end of Chapter 1 and getting your revenge, while all the extra missions afterwards needed to be challenge missions based on the earlier ones with certain restrictions, like subsistance missions. The problem was Chapter 2 started and almost immediately fizzles out leaving a bunch of unresolved questions and the story goes almost nowhere besides a few bits that seem disjointed.
Also the avatar I made for postal terrifies me every time I see that little preview window.

Quiet's plotline was a joke

That's true to an extent. It didn't quite feel the same, but I don't mind it. I dunno, I liked Skull Face even if he was underwhelming in some ways. Wacky and grandiose, but not mystical. I think it had some of its charm but in a different way.

You should be ashamed of your words and deeds
(mgsv spoilers) [sp]like why didnt she just use a pencil[/sp]
Actually, I think my problem with Quiet is more that she's MGS-quirky but the story takes her totally seriously, as if she isn't a teleporting super assassin in a bikini

But, in the end, isn't MGS about taking ridiculous nonsense and pretending it's serious?
Like Christmas
(mgsv spoilers) [sp]like why didnt she just use a pencil[/sp]
That's hardly a spoiler when it's in her goddamn name. The reason why she's quiet would be a spoiler.
But yeah why not at least sign language

That's one thing I didn't like. Ocelot was great in every other game, even 3. Why is he suddenly boring?
Kaz is pretty ridiculous though and he's hardly even in the other games so that's good
I never said I'd buy you sfv
But are you accepting that this poor young black man has more money than you? A twist of roles it seems.
Glorious
Wondrous.
Black lives truly matter.
You accepted this challenge and i've already won :v:
