my method of finding new music is going to discogs, select the style and genre, then look for cover art that's pretty :v:
i used to have a huge collection of music locally and on spotify
but now i've basically just deleted all my saved songs on spotify and i just build playlists and listen to artists as i want to and i've basically got no idea how big my library is because i just sort of roam around spotify until i go to sleep

I'm a simple man who goes on pornsite(s).dot.com and bookmarks all the good stuff and hope to god that adblock saves me from desktop strippers
What are your favorite genres? (or just like name a few you like) Maybe I can help.
see it's probably because i'm awful with genres, i never kno what to call half the stuff i listen to
i'd say the genre i'm hunting the most for music in is r&b/soul (some people use neo-soul but that sounds weird to me) stuff like frank ocean, the internet, anderson .paak, etc.
really anything with a similar kind of sound, that's the stuff i'm the most drawn to
all of my favorite albums in the last few years have been in similar genres
i spent hours on my previous avatar and i think my current one is better
ah well :v:
i usually listen to whatever people send me, if i like it and i haven't forgotten about it, i'll save it and maybe check out more.
elephant gun by beirut was a different story, however.

i heard it in the background of a minecraft video like, 6 years ago and i spent a week searching for the song. it's stuck with me ever since. it was also drastically different from what i listened to back then, as i was one of them heavy metal kids 6 years ago.
albums are objectively better if they're the japanese release
it's true
It was pretty great, had a nostalgic sound to it which given the name i'm sure was the point
i'm glad you liked it!
any favorite tracks? just kinda curious
o also definitely definitely check out channel orange since you liked that, very similar vibe and my very favorite album of all time
it's good

I feel like you would be really into LA scenes like low end theory, and the beat scene over there.
Pffthaha haha
Just won a halo 5 slayer
Game started our terrible getting murked left and right with only 2 kills
My own teammate's left until it was 2 against 4
Then I just flipped switch and went in with my pal.
Absolutely destroyed them. 31 kills. 2.3 k/d
Made a dude on their team quit because he couldn't handle it

Extra/bonus tracks? Nice. Demos/alternate takes? Cool. Remixes by other artists? Eww.
All I really listen to is Monstercat, but I sometimes listen to the stuff my friends send me.
I'm not really a fan of most of the stuff they've sent me, with an exception for Forget by Twin Shadows and King Of The Beach by Wavves.
I'm always up for listening to stuff people send me, though.

I didn't really catch the track names but overall it was just a really cool sounding album

Look up Good for Nothing Bastards on bandcamp its my band, best shit ever
i like british accents for some reason in songs so ive been listening to brit rap and The Streets
everyone loves british accents
i wish my accent was thicker
Anything that sounds like something you'd hear playing in a cyberpunk nightclub immediately gets me interested
So basically really gritty and bassy repetitive electronic music
i think you're right

Start with everyone who plays this (Low End Theory is super fun to go to btw.)
Also people like Daedelus and stuff are good.
I'll shamelessly plug Dublab too because my dad helps them with legal stuff/is on their board and they keep offering me a job that I'm totally going to take when I get back down there. They play a lot of LA centric music, along with a bunch of eclectic stuff. By far my favorite radio station.

iunno, that mr.-healer and private stackles guy that made it? seem like assholes.
[sp]you and sergeant did a fucking amazing job on it[/sp]
But like for real I found one of my favorite bands ever by just typing "stupid" into bandcamps search and sorting by tags. You never know what you will find on that site!
I'm completely in love with Cyberpunk honestly, like if it's cyberpunk then i'm totally into it
Deus Ex was the fucking best because it got that dystopic grimy atmosphere down absolutely perfectly
caravan palace is magical

Does anyone know any groups that sound like this btw? I could use some new stuff to listen to
