Andrew Stanton's friend or not. In the audio commentary, Andrew said that Wall-e is not about the enviorment, but is about not doing what you have always done, but instead do what you are meant to (Wall-e's and EVE's love, the humans one the Axiom who doesn't do anything, Auto's extremely coldhearted way of computing the world.)
And as the song at the credits says "Despite what you made for / you're always afraid of the change". I.e. humans do a lot to fall into rutine, something that is actually bad for us.
did you not read what i said? i, too, didn't say it was a message about the environment.
There was no fucking deep message, my dad is friends with the guy who fucking wrote the movie, and he has expressed multiple times, publicly and privately, that it wasn't ever an environmental piece. That was just a goddamn plot device.
Jesus Christ people.
It's how you interpret it not how it was wrote
or something like that
I'm 19 and a few of my friends want to see it. I was reluctant at first, but then I saw the talking dog.

To be honest, as soon as I saw the trailers it really wanted to see it.
The concept of it is just really... creative.
And the dog.

No, I suppose I didn't meet him. It must have been some strange elaborate illusion cast upon me and numerous other people.
And it's in Emeryville(I should seeing as I've flown out there twice), I mentioned that I was in LA because LA is a sort of hub for movies. You get most everyone going through here.
Am leaving to see this in 30 min.
Meh I just don't like up. Or Bolt for that matter.
You forgot CARS.:comeback:
You all think those are as good as the first Pixars?
Like the beginning of the desk lamp in the cartoon-short? Toy Story? A Bug's Life? C'mooooonnnnn.
I really want to see this. I can't think of a bad movie by Pixar.
Nothing Pixar has made after monsters inc, with the notable exception of Wall-e which made me cry at the end has been good.
I just got back from the movie. It was FANTASTIC. Truly deserves 98/100, where the only bad thing is the polygon ears on the main character.
Also, it's currently the best first date movie out right now. :v:
If you guys are anxious to ask a girl out, make sure to ask them to this movie. It's adorable and fucking hilarious.
I saw the movie
Holy.
Fucking.
Shit.
I lol'd at the star wars refrence at [sp] the airplane dogfight[/sp]
The FUCK.
IN THE FUCKING UK ITS FUCKING RELEASED IN COCKTOBER WHY THE FUCK
3D rendering is crazy ! It takes twice the time.
Sometimes yes. But animation via computer is cheaper. you dont need multiple takes, everything will always be choreographed perfectly, and it dosent take long to make the characters and setting. the only problem it that you need the actors voice. voicing a character is often MUCH harder than acting.
Went and saw it today with a friend, both of us throughly enjoyed it.
Interesting concept, unique concept, awesome idea, etc.
since when does anyone give a crap about your opinion
Why I love you and admire you as a forum user
This movie was possibly the best movie I've ever seen. Beat the shit out of Wall-E and any other Pixar movie, that's for sure. And that's saying a lot.
