This movie has terrible acting. I couldn't stand to watch it a second time.
What you talkin', Nicolas Cage was awesome.
I really couldn't feel for the characters, not enough development. And it was focusing on two completely different stories, which made it hard to attach to either. And the fact that you knew who the bad guys were...there was no twist, no surprises, you saw it all coming. Not very exciting.

Not very exciting.
[sp]The problem there was there isn't an easy way to conceal a character such as Chris D'Amico/Genovese. You need to know who Chris is, and you also need to know who Red Mist is. The problem was that there was no way of changing the actor's look enough to make him appear as two different people. It was done well in the comics, Chris always seemed like a scrawny quiet kid, and he was never shown once Red Mist appeared in the books, making it impossible to make the connection unless you were a conspiracy theorist. Romita Jr's art style was able to make Chris and Red Mist two completely different people, and Millar's writing was able to bring you to the shocking conclusion that they are one and the same.[/sp]

This is one of my favorite movies. It was just so different from the usual and I really enjoyed it.

I wanted to get a blu-ray player for that awesome cocaine-coated edition, but I didn't have the money to buy both, sadly. Fantastic movie, one of my top three for sure.
Big Daddy was by far one of the most memorable characters I've ever seen in a film.
uhh you dont need movie in the title
My friend watched this, said it was one of the worst movies he's ever seen (and we watch SyFy Originals semi-regularly, for the entertainment of pointing out all the flaws in them), and probably one of the worst movies he's ever seen Nicolas Cage in (and we're both pretty good fans of Cage). While I can't say anything myself for the movie, since I haven't seen it myself, hearing his opinion of it only reinforced my first impressions - of it looking lame and cheesy. I suppose that if I was a fan of the comics it was based off of, my opinion would probably be extremely different. But the fact of the matter is, I never even heard of the comics until I saw advertisements for this movie.
well your friends pretty stupid then
well your friends pretty stupid then
Admittedly, we're not much of fans when it comes to comics and comic-related things (he is also openly opposed to Batman - though he did find Arkane Asylum to be one of the best games he's played in recent years). Don't even get me started on his opinions of Spiderman. And of the Watchmen movie... We're more psychological thriller-type people, in all honesty.
It's just so great to look at something and go, "Oh yeah, that probably would happen when they did that in <Insert Superhero movie here>"
[sp]Loved the night vision goggles Hit Girl was wearing. The scene looked like CoD6.[/sp]
nice spoiler tags they're[sp][/ sp]

Kick-Ass and Watchmen are two of my favorite movies of all time, and I had never even heard of the comics until I heard of the movies.
I fucking loved the final battle scene when [sp]the head of the mafia thing gets launched with a rocket out the window.[/sp]
This movie was okay, but I didn't really enjoy it or find it as funny as I thought I would.
I fucking loved the final battle scene when [sp]the head of the mafia thing gets launched with a rocket out the window.[/sp]
How symbolic. [sp]Red Mist truly becomes a villain when he sees his father turned into... red mist.[/sp]

RIGHT FUCKING NOW fuck your friend he's an ASSHOLE stop being friend with that PRICK
just finished watching the movie right then. pretty awesome
It was pretty nice
The only thing I could think while watching this movie was "SERIOUSLY WTF?" Probably the some of the most messed-up concepts ever. Also, strangely entertaining.
Why do such great movies have such shit OP's. Learn to spoiler tag. Don't make a new thread just to say you liked a movie. Fantastic movie all the same though. With Kickass, Inception and Scott Pilgrim this has been a pretty good year.
Such an AWESOME movie. Loved it. Hit girl was AMAZING and Chloe Moretz was PERFECT for the role! And [sp]the scene where Hit Girl wipes out that entire gang in the apartment[/sp] was EPIC! Honestly, [sp]I didn't want Big Daddy to die.[/sp]:frown: 5/5 Stars, if you ask me.
I didn't like it
This is simply my favourite movie of all time and I pray for a second one.
