The reasons for the "failure" of our system is due to the fact that it is clusterfucked far from how it is supposed to function. The two reasons free-market enterprise isn't working is because we are constantly on a balanced budget AND the nature of our monetary system is fucked up beyond comprehension.
another one of these threads? wake me up when it's over
Nothing is really failing that badly. It will all come to an end sooner or latter.
that's not agrarianism

Thomas Jefferson had Agrarian Beliefs. That in no way links him to communism.
Actually, I said democratic socialism is a good thing (may have been in another thread, but I've said it enough that it should be apparent). There's tighter regulation on the financial sector but it's not as though the state owns everything, as you seem to think.
Let me give you an example of a government-ran economy is. Cuba. Cuba is a communism, a communism has a government-ran economy, it's where the government practically runs all the jobs, the market, economy, etc. There is no sense of capitalism involved, nothing like that. A Democratic Socialism has a mixed economy with both Capitalism and Socialism, but at the same time has a Socialist Market Economy basis. As I have said before and I will repeat from my previous post, an economy in-order to work needs to be balanced. A predecessor of the United States has already displayed this, Former President Bill Clinton had balanced the budget and left our country with a $128 Billion Surplus. A Government-Ran Economy only leads to disaster, and you should know that by the many countries and former-countries that have tried it.

Socialism is the best possible system ever.
Hail Europe.
[editline]24th December 2010[/editline]
Even though all the care for people makes people live less for each other.
But it's the government's task to make life worth living, not the people themselves.
If you can't bring up the money to pay your rents and shit, who's gonna give you the money? Nobody. This is where the government should kick in, hence why Socialism is the best system there is.
Yes, I'm trying to convert you to socialism.
Communism is shit and liberalism is ass.
Socialism is the best possible system ever.

Europe isn't socialist, number one.
And Socialism has failed multiple times demonstrating because it's never been put to use properly. Needless to say, it's not a good system, and it's one of the worse systems to use as a government. Just take a look at the USSR, it crumbled.

Did you even read what you linked him?
That's like calling the Democratic People's Republic of Korea a Democracy, because it's in the name.
Did you even read what you linked him?
He believed that the USSR was a communism when it was a socialism. Did you even read the last couple of posts?
The economy of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) was based on a system of state ownership of the means of production, collective farming, industrial manufacturing and centralized administrative planning. The economy was characterised by state control of investment, public ownership of industrial assets, and during the last 20 years of its existence, pervasive corruption and socioeconomic stagnation.
After Mikhail Gorbachev came to power, continuing economic liberalisation moved the economy towards a market-oriented socialist economy. All of these factors contributed to the final dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991. The stagnation which would consume the last years of the Soviet Union was caused by poor governance under Leonid Brezhnev and inefficiencies within the planned economy. When the stagnation began is a matter of debate, but is normally placed either in the 1960s or early 1970s.
Also, political ideology. Not the party who's in-charge.
I still have no fucking idea how this correlates with anything in my post. I was not talking about fucking socialism in the first place
Maybe I don't have to reply to everything you say and can throw my own explanations and answers and even questions towards you, I don't have to stay completely related to your post. You don't have to take everything so personally. You actually came into a thread about socialism to not actually talk about the subject at hand? You must be idiotic or you can't even remember your first post in this thread, disagreeing with the prinicbles of Socialism/Marxism etc.
Really have no idea what you're trying to prove, but its not working.
im pretty sure its an individuals job to find their own reason to live their life the way they see fit

But what if you fuck it up? Who's gonna take care of you?
I don't expect anyone to take care of me unless I end up a paraplegic or some shit like that.
If you're an able bodied man then you should be able to be self sufficient and support yourself as a human being.
You shouldn't have to rely on others unless you're still a kid.

The USSR was founded on a political ideology of Socialism considering their economy and many more factors. Please read the previous posts if you're going to get involved with this discussion.

Good for you, but you weren't involved in the discussion of the USSR. It's the fact you don't read words for their true definitions and try to use big words that make you look like an idiot.
Because in any societal system there will be corruption, that's why socialism and communism would work out even more imbalanced and fucked up than capitalism is.
Exactly, the closer to a free market economy you are, the less government corruption will be a factor.
The fact that America is the closest of the developed countries is the only thing that really stands us out right now.
actually america is not the closest to a free market economy
