Do you support democracy in the middle east? If so, you support your own extinction

This is of course, if Democracy comes as result of all these revolutions. Things can even get worse if the people in the M.E decide if they want Islamic govts.
If only we used oil and fuel resources in the US instead of selling it.

no it's not you've completely failed to prove you know anything at all about politics or economics
If only we used oil and fuel resources in the US instead of selling it.
nope. there is nowhere near enough oil on US territory to support US oil consumption.

yeah just those dirty Sauds who we totally did not give billions in weapons aid last year and are totally not one of the US' strongest allies in the regions
Doesn't get more Islamic than Saudi Arabia

Answer my question.
Would you like to live in a dictatorship simply for someone else to have lower gas prices?
Get Chavez out of Venezuela, so PDVSA can resume it's previous operative state. Thus, no need to import oil from the Middle East, Venezuela can just cover around 40% of the US demand at half the cost.
So wait, are you saying by ousting tyrannical dictators the oil industry is shitting itself?
We have a butterfly effect theorist here, tomorrow the next thread will be "BY DRIVING TO WORK YOU'RE HELPING START WORLD WAR 3"
The economy is fine. America might be reliant on oil but $5/gallon will not crash the economy.

either way it takes practically forever to create relationships with drastically different governments.

Rome wasn't built in a day.

military action (deposing someone by force) for the sake of our own economic interests will never be justified (we've done it a million times before but still)
Answer my question.

No, but I feel like a lot of people would secretly agree vice versa.
Something only a miniscule minority of the demonstrators would want.
five dollars a gallon? boo fucking hoo america will have to pay the same prices for gas everyone else has.

SHIT WE'RE DOOMED
LARGEST ECONOMY DESTROYED BY OIL PRICES GOING UP A COUPLE DOLLARS
Do you really believe this, or are you trolling?
No, but
No buts.
You expect people to suffer under tyranny because you don't want to shell out an extra $1 for gas?

I don't think you understand that time is of the essence for the US's economical problems.
let those people live under the yoke of opression, as long as my gas is slightly cheaper than everyone elses!!!
Hell, if anything driving the gas price up does good.
It starts people looking for alternate transportation methods and increases awareness of alternate fuels. Science will come up with something that will replace gas.
Notice the sheer volume of dumb ratings your posts have received. This is because no sane, thinking individual would agree with your ridiculous 'reasoning.' Your pseudo-intellectualism and thinly-veiled bigotry might be better accepted on a more Republican forum, where people are more likely to mistake it for intelligence.
Aye, I'm very aware that this is as 'ad hominem' as fallacies get, but I'm just playing your game, Lamar.

i don't think you understand how to make brain-thought
everyone's telling you "no the US won't collapse from slightly more expensive oil that's dumb as hell" and you're just ignoring them

What economic problems? The stock market is doing very well. It's right where it was in 2008. It's not perfect but the economy isn't in the shithole.
I don't think you understand that time is of the essence for the US's economical problems.
Then Saudi Arabia will open the wells.
If the US collapses, then they're in a bit of trouble.
AS IS THE REST OF THE ENTIRE FUCKING WORLD.
you're all idiots. the US will literally implode into a searing black void of utter hell if we're forced to pay the same amount for oil as everyone else.

People would have dumb'd Copernicus in the 16th century if facepunch existed, ratings mean absolutely nothing.
What are your thoughts? Middle-Eastern democracy at the expense of our already weakened economy? Is this why no action has been taken?
Meh, one way or the other, oil reliance needs to stop.
I don't really think you are correct, but even assuming you are, it doesn't mean we should change tactics or subject people to tyranny.
Our economy may fail, but that doesn't mean we will cease to be. It just means we will reorganize and return with a better laid out economic plan, and less reliance on foreign resources.
Out of crisis, innovation will be born.
