10 years ago. That was roughly when he started screaming.
Note how every successive album has less harsh vocals.
Note how every successive album has less harsh vocals.
I always thought that just made them more money. :v:
I always thought that just made them more money. :v:
I'm always surprised at how they became popular. More than half the people I know that listen to In Flames dislike how they moved from melodic death to more alternative metal.
It's so nice to read and share things about Metal on facepunch. Everyone in my classes listen to Kesha, Jason Derulo and other douchebags.
Everyone in my classes listen to Kesha, Jason Derulo and other douchebags.
I hate Kesha's music, and SHE looks like she doesn't shower or something.. Looks dirty lol
I hate Kesha's music, and SHE looks like she doesn't shower or something.. Looks dirty lol [img_thumb]http://puu.sh/1W3T[/img_thumb]
Exactly. I don't get why they like her. She can't even sing, it's just backed up by autotune and such.
Doesn't require much thinking, simple beats to dance to, lyrics are easy to remember v:v:v
New In Flames song. Pretty sweet.
Instrumentals were great. But I must say that I would never know this was Anders singing if someone played this song for me and I didn't know it was In Flames. He really has gone through several phases vocally over the years.

lol [editline]8th May 2011[/editline] aw man did not notice new page now this is almost irrelevant kesha does not have a particularly attractive figure but she hides it well
Ew.
Doesn't require much thinking, simple beats to dance to, lyrics are easy to remember v:v:v
You can't dance to someone who has a dollar sign in their name.
wanna bet
Yep.
You can't dance to someone who has a dollar sign in their name.
I don't dance anyway, was merely a (correct) observation :smug:
Old In Flames is gone but we still have this
Mikey, snip that picture, I dislike looking at it each time I come into this thread. [editline]9th May 2011[/editline] It's cringe inducing.
Recommend melodeath that isn't soilwork, in flames or whatever
Barren Earth, Solution .45 and In Mourning
Insomnium, Omnium Gatherum, This Ending and Ghost Brigade.
now I'm definitely not snipping it :smug: Just click on the new posts thingy beside the thread it takes you to the latest post
The Duskfall, Souldrainer, Nightrage, Imperanon, Dark Tranquillity, Arsis, Avatar, Hypocrisy, Dissection, Graveworm, Paths of Possession (with Corpsegrinder on vocals), System Divide.

I don't much care for Imperanon. The others I don't know. :v: [editline]9th May 2011[/editline] I am also going on a binge currently. I am going to be updating this post over the next hour with songs I enjoy from bands I just found. Searching for predominantly melodic death, but there may be other influences in these songs. Don't get pissy if some of these songs have clean vocals. Unlike some death purists, I enjoy them. Same thing goes for keyboards. I'll throw in a metalcore-influence warning, too: as long as it doesn't have the shitty stereotypes (unmoving chugging riffs, stupid "riot" shouts, or horrible breakdowns), then I don't really care if it has a metalcore influence. You'll see that reflected here. Just fair warning. Hopefully someone finds at least one new band out of it. :v:
Recommend melodeath that isn't soilwork, in flames or whatever
Autumn Leaves, Gates of Ishtar, Mors Principium Est, Night in Gales, Norther ,Kalter, and Hypocrisy.
You better listen to all this Engauge.
New In Flames song. Pretty sweet.
Been listening to this so much lately! Even though they are changing. Personally I loved a sense of purpose and I'm going to love their new album just as much.

Another new In Flames song Better than Deliver Us but I still don't like it.
As expected, In Flames continue being shit [editline]15th May 2011[/editline] I mean seriously, what the fuck was that [editline]15th May 2011[/editline] I remember when In Flames weren't whiney and faggy and actually made good music [editline]15th May 2011[/editline] fucking excellent shit right here
