One of my teachers - who was fit and healthy teaching on Monday - died suddenly the next day.. we are shocked.. I hate the unexpected :( She was really nice.
Hey guys 4 broken ribs + dislocated jaw + 107°F fever + major Arthritis in all my joints. I'd ask if you're jealous but I'm dying over here
No, people aren't sicker today, it's just reported more. Also consider that our ability to diagnose specific illnesses has grown, a couple hundred years ago if someone died of cancer it would very likely be diagnosed as being death by natural causes. Even during WWII there were diseases that were often considered fatal but are easily treated today.
In the American Civil War if you were shot in the leg, they amputated. And you still probably died. [editline]17th February 2011[/editline]
No, people are starting to become pussies and call in sick at the slightest bit of discomfort.
They're probably taking advantage of free/cheap health care.

Proteins begin to denature at 104-105, and most people don't survive any higher than 107. 107 is enough to get you hospitalized and dumped into a tub of ice.

we had a kid go into shock in health class (while we were learning about shock and how to treat it. talk about irony) but the kid fell out of his chair and started to shake a little, then he was just really pale and confuse. Our teacher is a M.D said it was Hypoglycemia shock. Turns out the kid didn't eat anything for breakfast, and nothing the night before. but we've also had a lot of people "sick" lately.

Anyways my fever is much lower now, no need to panic. :)
people are tired of winter, so they're trying to avoid work also flu spreads around this time of year

He landed on some kids shoe and the kid pushed him off.

[editline]18th February 2011[/editline] However, it is a problem today that so many people rely heavily on antibiotics instead of letting their body's natural defences take care of things. Only when you really need pills is when you should take them.
It's winter.
But not in Malaysia it seems.
Funny thing about Malaysia is, they make YOU get vaccines before you come to protect you from the shitloads of thing floating around there.
