Smash is the worst game I ever played. Bad games are released all the time, and some are worse than others. This is nothing new. However, it really takes a special kind of awful to be considered one of the worst games ever made. So when this special kind of awful makes an appearance, it's truly something to behold. Smash 4 is one of those rare pieces of work. It is a game so astoundingly bad that it manages to transcend nearly every boundary put forth by some of gaming's absolute worst of the worst and easily makes it into that dubiously extraordinary category of being one of the most atrocious games ever published.
"shit fanbase": Honestly, if the game is good, who cares. (even though FNAF is a shit game) "graphics are baby turd-esque": If you actually play games because of how they look then I am very sorry. "game for babies": I hate it when people say that to Nintendo games, I bet you've probably never even played Splatoon or Mario Maker, because they are NOT games for babies. In conclusion, what the fuck are you smoking.
Everyone= apparently babies. Some people can't seem to enjoy games unless they have more than 10 swear words and guns.
None. I'm happy with my purchases this year. Maybe Witcher 3 as I won't be playing that game until level restrictions goes to hell.

Hotline Miami 2 was the only game I played this year that didn't live up to my expectations.

i thought the thread title implied picking the worst games, not the games with the worst fanbases i'd kinda understand it in multiplayer-only games it's also really dumb to try and judge a game after only 5 minutes of playing it these are always like opposite popularity contests and there are no winners, only losers, and they are sitting in the jury and so that nobody can say that i'm going completely offtopic: the only game i've played that was released this year was KF2 so i guess that makes it my worst game of the year and consequentially it also takes the place as the best game of the year
Anyway, my list in no specific order. I haven't played that many "bad" games, so here's some "okay" ones too. 1. Grass Simulator and anything else like it 2. Nekopara (OH NOOOOOOO) 3. PewDiePie Legend of The Brofist (Got this as a gag gift, it's painfully generic and the dialogue can be summed up by going to a 9gag comments section.) 4. Tony Hawk 5 (What in the name of Jesus Christ happened to this? Glitchy and mediocre.) 5. Hotline Miami 2 (I probably shouldn't even put this here because it's still a good game, but the level design follows "let's put down a bunch of windows and snipers and call it 'challenging' gameplay" way too much.)
2. Nekopara (OH NOOOOOOO)
how dare you do this to my poor catgrills
None. I honestly find enjoyment in pretty much everything I play. That's why I play them.

Activision had one game left in their expires at the end of the year licensing agreement with Tony Hawk. So THPS5 practically WAS just slapped together to make a quick buck. Other than that little tidbit, I can't really say much as Fallout 4 is the only 2015 release I've played and I tolerate it.
that's a pretty terrible reason to deprive yourself of the best game this year
In terms of story? Sure, but the gameplay? Yea no. Those quest level requirement break the pacing and difficulty so badly. Game is probably lotta fun when level over 40 but getting there. Ugh...
I can't really have a top 5 but I can certainly name some. AC Unity(I think it's a 2015 game can't remember). Buggy launch, boring story, ran like utter ass(it's probably fine now) and micro-transaction galore. Batman Arkham Knight. I don't need to explain this. We all know why. H1Z1. Early access. Really slow development. Only fun with friends. It's survival aspect is missing. I really feel like Daybreak are killing it. That's really about it.
What is this nonsensicality. Why would you put a good game and a shit game in the same rank.
Because he is entirely entitled to his own subjective opinion of video game. 1. Undertale 2. LISA 3. Hurtworld 4. Fallout 4 5. All the anime trash that floods steam right now.
Because he is entirely entitled to his own subjective opinion of video game.
yes but my opinion is more important than anyone else

Game is probably lotta fun when level over 40 but getting there. Ugh...
Oh my bad, I thought you meant item level requirements. Yeah those are hardly noticeable actually. As long as you understand how to dodge attacks you can do any mission within some reasonable boundaries. It's not like you literally cannot complete a mission because it's a couple levels higher. Plus, you really don't get many quests that have a higher requirement than your level. You should be drowning in quests that are a couple levels below you most of the time, with MAYBE 2-3 that are considered tough for your level. It's not a level requirement at all, more of a level suggestion. It's just a way of letting you know it's gonna be a bit harder if you decide to do it right now.
1. Mad Max 2. Mad Max 3. Mad Max 4. Mad Max 5. Metal Gear Solid V (mostly because it's unfinished, and although it has a new take on gameplay in the MGS series, it turns into a grindfest anyway) Mad Max isn't necessarily a bad game, but it isn't very good either. It's another typically repetitive, open-world, "go collect some resources", comfort zone game. It's so repetitive that even the repetition was repetitive. It plays just like any other open-world survival/sandbox with skill levels and upgrades for your gear/vehicle/weapons that has come out in the last 5-10 years. The vehicle combat was decent, but could only be fun for so long. The only unique thing about Mad Max was the screenshot system. You could move the camera/perspective freely, adjust lighting, add filters, etc etc. It really was a cool little system. Everything else? Same old, same old.
Because he is entirely entitled to his own subjective opinion of video game. 1. Undertale 2. LISA
Hatred is in your Top 5 best, and these are in your Top 5 worst. Something is clearly wrong here.
Hatred is in your Top 5 best, and these are in your Top 5 worst. Something is clearly wrong here.
No, that is just my opinion. LISA disappointed me, Hatred did not. "waa someone doesnt like the game i like and they like a game i dont like :((("
1. All of the 2. Games 3. That 4. Everyone else 5. Likes
Subjective/Personal: 1. Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5 2. Minecraft: Story Mode (Was genuinely rooting for this game to be good and heartfelt) 3. Hurtworld (Nodules that have fixed respawn kill exploration and exhausts the survival genre by bringing nothing to the table despite the popularity) 4. Undertale (I have no nostalgia for JRPG's or Homestuck-esque hijinks and the humor/fanbase is maddeningly inescapable) 5. Helldivers (Magicka and Alien Swarm combined, but not anywhere close to as good as either of them) I'd give a more objective list, but I don't spend enough time with games I dislike initially to properly examine them.

If you have any interest in the discussion between player vs player character you're really missing out. Don't let second hand misinformation decide for you what to like. I wouldn't have bothered saying anything, but with your statement on Minecraft: Story Mode I feel you are really missing out. Undertale does have solid moments exactly like what you were looking for.
Honestly I can't even come up with 5 bad games this year. Everything I played (that I remember anyway) I had a pretty good time with. Granted I avoided the obvious trash this year.
2015 isn't over. Who's to say I won't buy 5 unforgivably awful games in the next 14 hours that would blow everything else out of the water? Provided that doesn't happen: 1. Hotline Miami 2 (Not the worst game by a long shot, but worse than the original is pretty much every way and unlike the first game it actually made me angry while I played it.) 2. Broken Age part 2 (I wasn't a fan of the first part and I thought the second part was fucking awful. I'm glad I played it with a friend and that he bought the game.) 3. Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons (I played the game when it originally came out in 2013, but it was rereleased on the PS4 and XBONE this year so I get a chance to put it one the list again. I hate this fucking game, the story is shit, the gameplay is shit, the characters are all terrible, and the ending relies on contrivance and retcons. And it's 2 hours long which is way too short for what I paid for it.) 4. King's Quest (I played the first hour of this because it was given away on PS+, it was boring and it had none of the appeal of the old King's Quest games. It wasn't even funny.) 5. I don't have a fifth because I tend to research my games before I buy them, so I avoided most of the complete shit. I will however take this slot to say again, fuck Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. I can not put into words how much my irrational hatred for this game extends. As for the big things that riled people up this year I quite liked a lot of it. Fallout 4 was Fallout 3-2, which is what I was expecting, it even managed to impress me in a few ways. The Phantom Pain I thought was a great game to play and I loved where the story went, it could have used more cutscenes to develop the story but other than that I loved it. And Batman was more of what I loved about City with The Joker constantly taking the piss out of you the whole way, and being the only person on Earth who's not sick of the Joker I loved it.
