I don't hate them, but it annoys me when they blame technology and not their lack of know-how.
I find it incredibly hard to explain to my mom what RSS is.
That's pretty ironic
As for OP, installing .Net can be fairly complicated if not all falls in place so just shut the hell up. I'm not even gonna go into detail about how much time I spent trying to get 3.5 working, which didn't because of a missing update or some shit - and I couldn't install that update even after complete removal of .net and installing version by version until 3.5.
In conclusion: You're a prick and your grandma should disown you for it. That'll show you.
I'm 19.
My grandma is 54.
It's not really my grandma with the computer problem. It's her friend.
Explaining this to two old people is nuts.
If I was there I could do it.
Your bio says that you're 22. :raise:
Amen, brotha.
That is how I feel.
But this is your fucking grandmother, not your dad. Anyone who thinks that all elderly are going to be able to learn about computer tech at the same level of today's young adults needs to get shot in the foot and get back to reality. Old people aren't the sharpest knives in the drawer.
We have a thread for this. And she's a pensioner, don't blame her for not knowing how to install something, even though clicking through an installer is mindblowingly easy.
Your bio says that you're 22. :raise:
lol it does?
Edit: So it does...well I was actually born in Feb. 19th 1990
No...I forget how old my mom is...34? I forget.
She had you when she was 15/16, you're defo a mistake
[editline]09:48PM[/editline]
Ontopic, maybe you should have a little patience and help your grandmother out, if not, go there and do it yourself and stop being such a whiney cunt over an older person trying grasp new technology.

Actually..funny story my granny told me.
She said she heard My mom and my dad (When they were younger) in the other room.
She walked in and said "What are you guys doing!"
and my mom says, "Wrestling!"
9 months and I pop out.
True story. Seriously. My grandma actually said I was a mistake.
Oh well, my granny loves me and my mom is in prison.

She loves you and your impatiencence drives you to hate her, what a sad human being :sigh:
It's a fucking elder ffs, She installing windows 7, as an elder, they are only used to their technology in the older ages, The technology that started all of the useless shit that we have now, and take for granted, Don't pretend you're a fucking know it all because you know more about today's tech than your grandmother

hahaha
The fact your grandmother even knows where to start with installing a new fucking OS is more than my grandmother/father and even my own mother and father will probably ever achieve with technology, you should be proud of her.
My granny doesn't hate me. She said she loves me and misses me before we hung up.
Because old people can't lie.
Because old people can't lie.
She can't. She tries...she can't.
I'ved lived with her since I was 5.
When she lies. I know.
She hates it that I always know when she is lying.
Edit: Everytime I see someone with a gold name .. I am like "Oh snap an important person" then I see it's just "Gold Member" and i'm like "oh who cares.."
Ok. You're still an arrogant prick.

ey OP why dont you give them a break and stop bein such a geek
I hate people who have little knowledge in magic. Merlin the greatest person ever, Jesus couldn't do miracles without it, And Not only it doesn't exist, but many people say's is magic in some way or another if they cannot explain it. Making magic the indescribable holy awesomeness that it is today.
explaining how to do anything to someone over the phone, or by instant messaging or anything like that is always very fustrating.
I been on the phone with my grandma trying to tell her how to go to Microsoft Update to make sure the computer is updated.
They bought Win7 and I know for sure the PC won't work with it but...to prove it...she needs to download Windows 7 Advisor. Which needs updated .NET Framework
Telling someone how to do this over a phone is like directing a baby through a maze using morse code smoke signals.
I bet your grandfather has knowledge in something you do not.
Guess what, your grandfather didn't grow up with anything RESEMBLING a computer. Most of his life has been one without a PC unlike you. You little entitled fuck.
Everyone has to learn somehow, you just grew up with it. Not everyone has had that luxury.
What is with the burst of supplies?
