killing a lion with your bare hands.
while a lot of people stay away from technical achievements if more people knew at least one high-level programming language and how to solder the world would be a better place
Takes a self-defence course, or become a Black Belt in a martial arts field.
Handy bit to know, even if you never have to use it.
Agreed, but for the love of god, please don't master a mainstream martial art.
Wait what, is this the Sims?

Also, I'm personally trying to learn French. I've been about 2 years into it so far.
ive been wanting to learn it too, any ideas where to start?
also at the guy that wants to learn the guitar without taking any class, i simply read a thread at ultimateguitar.com, thought me how to understand tabs. from there i easily learned how to play it myself.
cant find the thread sorry, but you may find it here, i dunno http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/lessons/
started with easy songs (ones where there are no bar chords) then once you get used to it bar chords will be easy etc etc. took me a month or two, i think, before i started to play songs with bar chords. did it all by myself, learned all chords and stuff by simply googling it (http://www.8notes.com/guitar_chord_chart/ site i use), then of course found chords of songs i want to play through it too. (mostly ultimateguitar.com)
hope i helped! sorry if it's hard to understand english isn't my first language :3:
I read somewhere that (among other things) every man should be able to program a computer, survive in the wilderness for more than week, have their own effective fighting technique, be able to run for more than 10 minutes straight, have a basic knowledge of Photo shop, and be able to cook.
I can do 4 of those. Any one know where i can find the rest of the list?
Everyone should also learn some basics about engines and electricity(Motors, Generators, etc.)
learn Cyrillic. It takes a day at most.
Unless you're learning a language too it's completely pointless.
How to pick locks.....
really, it can be useful at times...
yes it can
but it's difficult to learn properly, net "tutorials" don't really provide any useful information
just all about sawing and has no insight into how to place individual pins
Communication
and
Walking.
Two of the most important one would argue, especially the first.
Learn a high level programming language
Learn how to model and animate well
Make a decent game
Get employed by Valve
All in this order

:smug:
Actually to anybody wanting to do it: don't bother - you'll concentrate more on the pain in your legs and spine than the pleasure in your dick.

175 now actually.
Learn golf because it'll be useful later. It's pretty fun
-snip-
Juggling, I learned to juggle just about perfectly in a week (It's not very hard given already decent hand-eye-coordination). Plus you'd be joining an age old tradition.
Learn C++
Learn to cook
Learn to draw stuff
Master Myself
learn an instrument (probably going to be piano/keyboard/synth)
improve my art
build a fuckton of self confidence!
Learn morse code. I can now talk to people across the class by tapping my pen on the desk :haw:

No idea why but after reading this I started to learn juggling and I'm loving it!
Learn to appreciate the world as is and and find new goals for humanity to strife for.
I guess it goes along with the: Learn to not only see what can't be done.
Learn to draw well because a lot of people are really impressed by it.
Learn to not give a fuck about what other people think,
Learn to never be a kiss ass.

Being able to specialize has brought humanity to where it's at now.
How to do your own car repairs, and if you have the time and resources, build / rebuild a car. It's one of the most satisfying feelings on earth to drive something you've just spent hours upon hours fixing.
in fact, learn how to build and fix machinery. any kind, it's fun regardless: a lawn tractor, microwaves, cars, trucks, airplanes, whatever.
You should go hunting at least once, or if you're too much of a pansy to do that, try a shooting range.
I want to become a master of the jedi

I want to try knife hunting one day.
sure it seems dangerous but I think it'd be far more fun to actually have to sneak up and fight for your quarry rather than sniping it at long range
