Why I think the Universe is around 10,000 years old
Some people actually do believe the Earth is 10,000 years old. It's really surprising that anybody still thinks that, and I'm surprised we don't still have people preaching that the Earth is flat or that the sun revolves around it.
But I admire their resolve. They're somehow able to ignore absolutely ridiculous amounts of evidence and substitute their own beliefs in place, and still be able to preach their views despite the fact that everyone knows they're wrong, and keeps reminding them of that. If need be, if their Frankenstein argument is falling apart at the stitched fleshy seams, they'll resort to circular logic, unacceptable thought experiments, referencing somebody else's argument, or even just badmouthing anybody who happens to be right.
The part about all of this that really gets me is that they're absolutely, inarguably wrong from any standpoint on solid ground-- and that they refuse to admit it.
I'd love to be such a person really. To believe so easily and feel like you really are damn right.
I'd love to be a person that liked everything because everyone else liked it. It would be so easy to like stuff. Though, of course I'm then excluding the sadness that probably is there for many as they are just following the mass and not themselves.
Lots of scientists talks about the possibility to bend space.
There was this video explaining the 4th dimension which kind of explains that, though it was actually a form of timetraveling so not really :v:.
Well, I need some sleep now.
4th dimension is a drippy concept.
You might be thinking of metaphorical time travel.
Nighty Night
[B]CAUTION:
Well, me, and some other Christians believe, according to the Bible, that the Earth and every animal that was ever created by God, is no older than 10,000 years old.
Well I respect your beliefs, and I can understand Creationism, but the Earth is far older than 10,000 years. In fact, we have found the oldest human bones ever recovered are over 100,000 years old.

God your a gay motherfucker.
I love threads like these.
These retarded debates are fucking hilarious.
There are so many things in the bible that you can't and shouldn't take as absolute fact. They are what we call allegories, analogies, and metaphors. I believe in the bible, but i don't believe that the earth was created in 7 days. I believe that that was a story representing how god created the earth over the millennium using evolution as a tool. To god, time is nothing. 7 days could just as easily mean 700 million years in his perspective.

is not possible111
Bible is pretty much obsolete these days i mean it was created about 1800 years ago. Back then people didn't know much of mathematics or natural science.
And the lack of complexity of bible creation story is because back then people didn't give rat-ass how world was created. Because they had alot more to think than that.
