They want to play it safe so that they don't feel stupid when said "troll" realizes the opportunity to turn the whole thing around and appeal not-so-stupid now that he's a troll
no we just have normal perception because we've figured out that A: you guys trying to factually counter/take on the dude seriously, who delivers the best witty satirical responses that are probably half-truths to some degree and that are also full of bait; continuing to fuel stupid "informative" "ur shit sucks". (ps that's the joke) or B: we have the rare unwilling troll (doubt it) that is so crazed that even though they aren't aware; they're successfully luring you idiots- trying to convince him he sucks when it's again just fueling his awesome life story replies. Example: chris-chan he won the thread the moment he registered + funny bonus while reading that people are genuinely trying to "show" the co-creator that this isn't amazing:
I really try to stay positive in the face of hatred, but why did you have to point that out in such a mean way?
Please read these quotes and check the relevant wikipedia pages: "Very few are financially self-sustaining." - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Webcomic "Of the thousands of webcomics, very few produce significant income; in general the creator of a website is lucky if it can support even its own hosting bills." - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_self-sufficient_webcomics Most of the comics on that list combine great artwork with witty or original ideas that require some thought on the reader's part. At present, you are unfortunately lacking in pretty much all these areas. I advise you go check out a few of the web comics on that list, look at how often they update and how they are presented (both in terms of artistic quality and the accompanying ads, banners, etc). Think about whether, with your website (the design of which is also unfortunately poor), you can compete with them. Now think about whether you could rise to their level within a few years, let alone 3 months. It's all very well saying 'this is my dream, I will make it happen if I believe'. But this is real life. Think about the 6 billion people on the planet. How many have their dreams realised? I'd say less than 1%. Probably a lot less. And before you start on about how you've spoken with your spiritual leader and believe some greater force will aid you, I'm a Roman Catholic. I believe that God will aid those in need. But often, these things don't work out for reasons we don't understand. I'm not trying to dash your hopes, I'm trying to save you 3 months of toil and what little money you have left for no return.
Ok, 111. I've been up for almost 24 hours, so cut me some slack. By the way, I got a 520 on my math SAT, so obviously I can perform basic arithmetic. I really try to stay positive in the face of hatred, but why did you have to point that out in such a mean way?
Math/Writing/Reading? 740/710/710. Get at me, bro. I don't want to sound like a cocky asshole but you got your head waaaaaay in over deep. You're not even listening to the logic of people who are literally smarter than you and could offer advice so you won't suffer in the future. MSPA, XKCD, Oglaf, GSC, Hark a Vagrant, Dr McNinja, C&H. Really, look at their art, writing, and style. All are unique, all are funny, and all are loved.
Another goal is to get banned in Germany, Electric Retard style.
Oh so he is making the comics that bad because he can not draw in MS Paint? Wow I thought he was making them bad on purpose.
I suddenly got the urge to remove someone's Small Intestine without creating any entry or exit wounds. You know, an even more compelling urge than normal.
I have that urge all the time.
I have that urge all the time.
So do I, but this one's unusually strong.
Talisk and Rainboo, take this. :frog:
You're an idiot. I was simply complimenting his clever mannerisms and you come in this thread suggesting a frog plush pillow? Who do you think you are?!?
Hey You're gay
SpicyTornado sort of reminds me of Kenneth from 30 Rock if anyone has seen it
1. A rule I live by is to avoid the the three Ts (Television, Trans fat, and Tequila). They will not better your life in any way. 2. When you have a dream, grab it no matter what. Sacrifice everything. I quit my job with the U.S. Postal Service to follow mine, and even though haters run rampant, I will one day stand victorious. 3. Stay away from floozies. They will destroy you.
I'm pretty sure Kenneth said the exact same thing on the show too, minus the Postal Service thing.
Why must Facepunch assume that every stupid person who comes here having something to say is a troll? You guys were like this to that Blake kid. Not saying the Spicy Tornado is stupid but still...
what blake kid [editline]26th April 2011[/editline]
After my initial shock, I momentarily held on to my composure, but when my brother and I received literally 7 separate hate-filled emails (some of which my big brother responded to), I lost it. I drove directly to AppleBee's and downed three glasses of Chardonnay in literally 45 minutes. I'm embarrassed to admit this, but I got kind of drunk and started sobbing at the bar. I called my mom and told her everything. Every little snide comment you guys threw my way. Every mean-spirited re-imagining of my comic... I mean, who thought it would be funny to take my characters taco away? That's just silly. She theorized that you guys are just a bunch of pseudo-intellectual reptiles with nothing better to do than to bash a really original, funny comic. I don't remember much else from the night as I passed out as soon as my mom came to pick me up.
WHAHAHAHAHA, DUDE. You're 24, worked at the US postal service, but you've thrown that away and now depend on some shitty comic and your mom? PFTHHCHHHCFT
I really try to stay positive in the face of hatred
wow did you just read The Secret?????????????????????
This is absolutely hilarious.
I would just like to remind you all. [sp]this was made by a troll.[/sp] [sp]and you all fell for it, too.[/sp]
These comics are hilarious. :buddy:
The owner of the site was either conned into paying extra for whoisguard or knows the real value of it. You can't put a price on an elaborate troll, right? edit: disregard, apparently you get whosiguard free for your first year at namecheap.. The pain that these shit filled incomprehensible "comics" have caused me will be the steel that forges the saber of your demise, spicy tornado, and when you are laying on the ground breathing your last breaths you will ask I "What do you want from me?" and I will make the final strike, your answer revealed to you in your last thought "I want your life, my opponent."
I'm like seventy percent sure this is fake. And you say I have the mentality of a five-year-old... how does that even make sense. Do you really think a little kid could work for the U.S. Postal Service? Do you really think a little kid could make a successful webcomic? [editline]26th April 2011[/editline]
Math/Writing/Reading? 740/710/710. Get at me, bro.
