If you wear that you're a major tool. It's big, unnecessary, and you can't wear it with normal clothes let alone formal clothes. You've got to look proper, like so:

I would never buy one of those 1/2" thick watches with a fuckton of buttons, dials, displays, or calculators(??). Just get a simple, thin, not plastic watch. Digital or analog doesn't matter as long as it looks good. This is good: Or this:

I have this awesome retro style casio watch. Plastic, big numbers, double time. Imagine this with black plastic.
I use the Casio PRG-40 http://www.yollasepete.com/urun/Casio-PRG-40-3V-Erkek-Kol-Saati_Lyu.jpg I'm in the army tough, most of the functions it has aren't really necessary for daily use.
/thread
God, I've always wanted one of these.
I actually found an Omega watch behind my apartments pool area ,and I just lost it :C Fuck that thing was a nice watch. Gold plate ,and real fancy gears.
DealExtreme has some fancy watches for cheap, I've bought this one: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.24937 I haven't received it yet, but the reviews are generally positive and for $6 you can't go wrong. They have some good $20-$30 watches in there too. If you want a multifunctional watch, I have one for sale on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Fossil-Abacus-AU5005-Wrist-Palm/dp/B00077ALQ4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1271550807&sr=8-1 I even have a custom battery soldered into it.

What a price!

Oh I get it. There is a watch and a book. And when you read a book, you watch it. :downs:
My friend bought one of those from Thinkgeek. It's really hard to read and gets uncomfortable apparently.
I love mine.
I'm finding myself looking for a good watch as well, not too big, simple, good looking, and something that i'd be able to wear with a suit as well as casually. Ex:
What?
Digital watches fucking suck. Get a real watch like Omega or Rolex. ...
A real watch is one that has numbers on it.
Slefwinding tachometer clock. No need for batteries in this beast!
I would show you my watch, but fossil doesnt have it on their website... [editline]03:47PM[/editline] [IMG_thumb]http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/ll205/CarbonGT1/Mobile%20Uploads/0_1-2.jpg[/IMG_thumb] Best i can give on short notice. As you can see, it has a brushed brass face, crystal lense, stainless band, and a built in stop watch and date.

Kind of a bump, but my watch from DealExtreme arrived: It's really great, high quality too. Easy to resize the bands, even had the arrows to tell you which way to go with it!
Find a good quarts or wind up pocketwatch.
If I could I'd have a different watch for various outfits and situations.
