A discussion is a discussion.
Once you stop existing it's of no concern to you so it doesn't matter. It's a win/win situation.
If dead and existing = 0, problem solved.
If dead and existing = 1, cool.
Im just afraid of never having another thought again.
no, because I plan to grow super powers and live forever
TBH the only thing I'm afraid of is if I respawn as a fruit fly.
I'm quite interested. When it comes, hopefully something cool with happen afterwards. Otherwise, oh well.
Seriously, the only thing I'm afraid of after death is just blackness. I hate the vision of that in my head, its so disconcerting.

You won't know It's black.
It will be like sleeping.
You don't know you're asleep.

Then if it's like sleeping, there won't be blackness, just dreams.
I wonder if ghosts can have wet dreams

I knew someone would say that.
No dreams, just sleeping.
I might be seeing a death experience when im 20. Im thinking of joining the US Marines.

Sleeping = dreams, people cant remember them when they wake up, if you're dead and you're never waking up, you'll be able to remember them, or, be able to go out of body. Or, again, If i respawn as a fruit fly, I will be pissed.
My fear of death is akin to when a family's house burns down, sure there have to move to a new one and they lose all of their stuff in the process.
But at least you'll have a new house to experience new things.
One could interpret this as an idea for reincarnation, the after life, or just moving into a coffin. To which I will not say, for it is up to you to decide what's in the new house.
So yes, I am afraid. Not afraid of going to a new place, just afraid to miss all I have now.
And this, so true.
Knowing that I have found myself on a plane, looking all confused, and having a son with my ex wife Juilet, then going to my dad's funeral, and getting told to let it go, and say "I died too".
L O S T.
Not really because i wont be around to know about it.
No, I'll be too dead to give a shit. :v:
I am indifferent to when I die, there is of course things I want to do before it happens, but well, its inevitable, im just going to enjoy life while I have it and not worry about what happens after it, if anything at all.
I'm not afraid of death, I'm afraid of not accomplishing everything I want to accomplish before I die.
I am afraid of what happens before.
Well if I go to hell or something, guess I deserved it.
But unless they've got a problem, everyone's at least a tad scared of dying.
No, but I still don't really want to die for a good 70 or so years at least.

If it's the Christian heaven you don't.
Personally I just can't deal with the fact that I have no choice. I'm a self-made man & very independent but I know that no matter what I do, I will die.
Also the fact that I'll most likely never make it into the history books, and within 70 years (max) myself & everyone I know will vanish off the planet.
Afraid ? No. Curious ? Yes.
I don't really think about death that much.
I guess it'd suck.
I guess I'll go to heaven.

Kick it with my grandpa and uncle. :3:
I just want to know what happens.
No because hopefully god is real. Like how could everything be so RANDOM in a perfect order that we came to be? Also yes because if it doesn't happen, well I wouldn't know
Not only that, but how could the concept of randomness even exist without a God? If science says that matter and energy cannot be created or destroyed, how could a scientific universe suddenly pop into existence? It is clear that there must be a God.
I don't fear death, but I do fear immortality.
90% of the people who voted "no" would crap their pants if they were in a situation where they risked getting killed.

Well, the question is "Are you afraid of what happens after death?" I don't deny that in a life-threatening situation, my body would probably defecate in terror, but I am not afraid of what happens after my body is dead.
