[QUOTE=magicman1234;29434999]We can camp in the 3rd ward here in Houston. Totally safe, no worries.
We can enjoy and interact with the locals.

We have an easy way of getting money in case we happen to lose anything.

Many places to go sightseeing in the wards. [img_thumb]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/fe/BethelBaptistChurchRemains4thWard.JPG[/img_thumb]

Can I just cry my eyes out for a bit on how god-awful that is?
I think Tennessee is a p central location.
Please? :buddy:
People from the INTERNET, congregating in one place, away from civilization.
Never a good idea.
I say we have it in the Pine Barrens in South Jersey.

I'm used to it. Tampa, Florida. .-.
Midwest mother fuckers, We got most of the lakes.
Yeah this sounds nice but my ideal camping trip would be with a group of guys who I can chill out or hang with, yet still be capable of having some casual fun and/or geeking out. And also who all appreciate the outdoors and enjoy doing outdoor/camping related activities without being immature about the whole experience.
A camping trip with a bunch of FP'ers sounds like it would instead be full of awkward teens who've only been in the woods once before, a couple of pyromaniacs, a couple of over-adventure seekers, and a handful of people who wouldn't actually want to camp and instead fool around messing shit up as if they are on a sitcom in a vain effort to seem appealing by being a goofball the entire time.
nothanks
If this would be a Kayak trip then I'd be in, since I kinda want to do one of those this summer. Kayaking is generally exclusive enough and specific enough that only people who like to be outdoors and have some level of mature fun-factor to them would be able to do it (or want to). Seeing as you generally need to know how to Kayak first, and that requires you to be at least interested in the outdoors/camping experience to weed out the annoying internet-meme teen dork types.
Can I just ask, did this trip work out in the end?
