Fix Up! Look Sharp v9: Winged shoes don't make you look fly

beanies make you look like a hipster or a hobo
to be fair they are not mutually exclusive
I'd wear beanies more often but just putting one on for more than 5 minutes means you can't take it off for the rest of the day, and the hair that's out of the beanie often gets messy and the beanie moves around a lot so you're constantly adjusting it. If they weren't such a pain in the arse I'd probably wear one all the time because they look good when done right (by done right I mean inside 5 minutes of putting it on)
beanies are v. v. good if pulled off right
[editline]28th August 2013[/editline]
most people can't pull them off tho
i've got one of the everlane backpacks. it's not super spacious but it's held up to a lot of shit. for ~6 months out of my freshman year i hauled my laptop, at least one textbook and notebook, and 10+ lbs of building materials and drawing supplies all over campus. it still looks new.

I got the eastpak Killington backpack (like the above but in black) and it can hold so much stuff it's crazy.
If I am carrying less, I have a Paul Smith satchel which has held up well for about 4 years.
And if I am carrying more, I have this heritage-looking vans backpack
Fucking Hell why is everything ridiculously expensive on this site, and the Herschel bags do look pretty good I'm looking for something more spacious, I'm going to be carrying round a binder with loads of handouts/books/etc in it for 5 days a week
urban outfitters, hipster central
which makes me think all ~true~ hipsters must be rich to afford stuff there
pretty ironic that urban outfitters is owned by a hardcore conservative

lmao @ true hipsters shopping @ UO
[editline]28th August 2013[/editline]
urban outfitters is pleb tier hipsterism but they have good basics/shoes/accessories
Stop hemorrhaging the term hipster into all these posts
It doesn't even mean anything in its vague bastardised modern context, you just sound like idiots
what's that tiny little rim gonna do, keep off approx no sun rays?? i thought so
hats are useless. they do nothing a pair of sunglasses or sunscreen cannot do.
ban hats.
There are also places that are colder than here, where a hat might be useful as well
i typically use my hat to keep my meticulously crafted hair in place during windy conditions
Anyone know anywhere that sells good backpacks? I forgot I go back to college in less than 2 weeks.
[editline]28th August 2013[/editline]
And why doesn't the DL site even work any more
I decided to retire my North Face Bigshot pack after 4 years of use in college and got a new pack this summer that I absolutely love. It's a Jansport Skip Yowell series Pleasanton backpack. I looked at the Herschel packs at UO but they are pretty light weight and didn't feel like a good replacement coming from a high end North Face pack, pretty low support and few features.

I also came home today from class with my Red Wing 875's sitting on my porch, they need some breaking in but are going to be a great, comfortable, boot this fall/winter. I look forward to seeing them busted in and worn in. I lucked out and the sizing was good, ordered a half size smaller like I do with all my boots.

Are you a hip weatherman?
Please don't buy these.
I really like that Jansport backpack.
Yeah I'd ask where he got it from if I hadn't just recently gotten a duffel bag.
Are you a hip weatherman?

Funny thing is I was planning to buy two pairs of these shoes. 1 pair for me and 1 pair for my friend who is a Weatherman in the US army as a gift since he asked me for them.He wants to rock them while doing weather reports.

Most Jansport packs you see around in stores are their run-of-the-mill cheap student packs, but their lifetime warranty (that they actually honor) does make even the cheap ones a good purchase. Better warranty than The North Face that's for sure.

These came in the mail today as well, busy day with shipments. They are 7.5" Tall Frye Jayden laceups. Slimmer toebox and overall fit than my Frye James lace ups and have a less bulky all leather sole, these are a little less workboot than the James.
Also, word of advice, looking for a good looking white v-neck? Hanes slim fit white tshirts are fantastic, very well fitted and only about $7 a piece. Beat's the hell out of spending $20 at UO on them, they even fit better.

if you don't know how to work those shoes into an outfit you shouldn't be buying them in the first place
Vans Old Skool (haven't really skated them yet)
Don't go skating in canvas Vans unless you want to wear down a gaping hole in the sole and tear up every bit of canvas on the shoe.
i learned this the hard way :'((
if you don't know how to work those shoes into an outfit you shouldn't be buying them in the first place
Yeah even if I cant work them into an outfit I can still sell the shoes for an easy 300$ since foamposites sell out day 1. Sneakerheads are obsessed with foamposites and some like the Galaxy's are worth more than 1000$ even though they were 250$ on release date. I actually own a pair of Galaxy's.
