Same, I usually love shopping for a new jacket for winter, until I find one I like and post it on a forum to get opinions then can't shake the idea of it looking like a coat worn by a serial playground masturbater.
Welcome to the world of a Sneakerhead.
foamposites are ugly as hell tho
foamposites are ugly as hell tho
Depends what colorway they use imo the original blue ones that came out in 1997 are the best looking ones.
[editline]a[/editline]
Matter in fact most of the clean colorways look the best.

Layers, so many layers.
since we're talking about foams, here are mines

solecollector rookies, i have a bunch of other stuff in my collection but its mostly older releases, i don't really buy much new stuff unless its rare or exclusive.

I just copped these, anybody else here brought one?
That is by far the most annoying current fashion trend for me this summer, cat faced shirts. You see a ton of full printed cat shirts in women clothing right now and I've actually seen some guys wearing similar shirts as well. It just looks silly. There are two guys in my department that wear clothes like model pictured, and 9 days out of 10 they just look buried in accessories and clashing clothing. Major respect for their confidence levels though, it'd take a lot to dress like that here in the Midwest and they are both cool guys.
Also, anyone thrift shop regularly here?
I've only really thrifted for flannels that's it
I should try doing it more though I know some people that find some really nice stuff. Also I've been meaning to get into doin some DIY stuff too

I've found some really nice clothes through my local goodwills, authentic peacoats, Woolrich flannels, hell I've got a set of shirts that were used in the production of the show Lost, which I got out in a Goodwill in Pearl City Hawaii where they donate the majority of clothing Sony uses during the production of films and shows out on Oahu. One of the shirts is a $120 Monoco slim button up with studio dirt and wear, that had the wardrobe tag from Lost. Fits fantastic and is a really interesting piece, and for only $4 you can't pass that kind of thing up.
its every day fashion for normal dudes who arent lookin to make a statement but are lookin to look presentable and nice
which if you ask me, is the best and most applicable fashion there is.
If you ask me, I never look twice at someone sporting the MFA look unless they're doing it really well.
to me, THAT stuff is boring. it's an ill fitting shirt with a cat that looks like any random person could have printed it in their garage, and all the mismatching clothes. i see stuff like that all the time, and it just screams no sense of style. just slapdash random shit in the name of being out there and fashionable. that is what is boring to me. slap a bunch of thrift store stuff together and call it art basically.
[editline]1st September 2013[/editline]
the irony being its probably not thrift store and all super expensive for literally no reason
Maybe it's where I live, but that's the kind of stuff I like to look at in real life. Nearly everyone I see tries to wear something that common culture considers nice, and so it's interesting to see someone actually wearing that odd stuff. I've seen so many button-ups, wingtips, matching belt&shoes, and "streetwear" looks that it's boring. I don't even think someone's trying if they look like that, I just think they read a few MFA guides and decided that they'll never make any effort to look nice again.
Do you really see stuff like that all the time? I see it on the internet, but hardly in real life.
What do you guys mean by MFA look? Masters in Fine Arts? I'm lost...
Oh, male fashion advice reddit, figured it out.

to me it just comes off as very very veeeeeeeeeeeeryyyyy pretentious
"look at how cool i look while wearing stuff that doesn't fit me well or match with my other clothes, and wear like 30 different things that'd already be impossible to pull off on their own, together"
because at least the way i see it, it's nothing more than shock value translated into the fashion world

not as bad as over here, most guys just wear oversized bintang tank tops and shorts every single day, then there's all the hood rats and deros wearing airmaxes with cocked baseball caps
but then again I kind of like goth ninja, just bought a HBA x Been Trill shirt and wear Supreme so my opinion is probably considered invalid

you mean this one?
[t]http://i.imgur.com/1tPEYRw.jpg[/t]
seems totally worth it, but that makes sense considering how all of the prices for his clothing is perfectly sane in every way, I mean...
[t]http://i.imgur.com/46BmCE2.jpg[/t]
that is a very nice beanie, I would buy 10 of them but I spent all my money on a new pair of hi-tops
[t]http://i.imgur.com/FmAYU6x.jpg[/t]
I mean, why would you buy the original chucks this shoe is copying for a 29th of the cost when you can have these high-quality, fashion forward sneakers
I don't understand beanies like that. I mean personally I think they look awful
HOLY FUCK, that thing is fucking 350$
The fuck
Who would pay for that.
Matter in fact
That isn't how the expression goes
Are you the guy who got those shoes with the weather on them? They are hilarious
you guys literally don't understand fashion
I guess you understand buying basic pieces at the mall and from H&M and stuff but that's the exact opposite of fashion

Yeah that was me lol.The funny thing is as soon as I went to the parking lot it started raining.

Here's the pic I took before it started raining.

I ordered two henleys and a t shirt from american eagle
i like their non-grahpic shirts
Whoa back the fuck up. This whole thread, the name of it at least, is a fucking contradiction AND paradox. :suicide:
i always thought "fix up look sharp" meant like helping other facepunch members dress better and improve their clothing.
i don't understand how it became "fashion megathread v9"

how many people come here asking for advice now anyways? threads dead compared to its golden days of popularity anyways, not to mention the the new GD and thread system keepin it off the front page doesn't help either
the name seems to have simply just stuck, it can be a fashion megathread and an advice thread you don't have to pidgeon hole it into one thing
all that's really left is regulars posting pickups or stuff looking for opinions

AE actually has decent skinny jeans in my experience too
I wore my two black skinny pairs to death and they were like 30 bucks, probably the best bang for my buck jeans I've ever bought
wish I had the money to buy some ksubi's or something tho. I have a pair of APC's and some zara jeans and the rest of my shit is a random assortment of chinos, I need more jeans
their jeans actually look like very nice quality jeans but i have really never gotten around to trying them for once. i probably should

i mean, they look really good. especially since most of them you could get them for $30 or so when they go on sale. (quite often it seems)
