ajacks how do u feel wearing a dead mans shoes[/QUOTE]
It feels right Rusty...it feels right...
[QUOTE=Rusty100;42072953]well if you find any more stacy adams in size 9 ajacks let me know (mail them 2 me) :~)[/QUOTE]
In all seriousness I'll keep an eye out.
I'm off to the cobblers today, there's two in my town and I've never been to either. I'm a little curious as to what they will be like. One of them is called Sarges shoe repair and it has a creepy ass mannequin dressed in military clothes sitting on the porch of the shop. It has always spooked me as I was growing up.
Just scored a 1916 Lancet Trench watch, working, off ebay today. I've not got a picture of it since they were taken down at the auctions end but it's identical to this but the gold leaf on the numbers is in better shape and the case is gold on mine, and It's not got a strap, so I'm going to have to figure out what kind of strap I want to put on it.

It's the exact same watch from Pulp fiction so I'm slightly tempted to do a gold band like in the movie for kicks. I already have the 1956 kangaroo key caddy as well. Or I could go with a traditional WWI leather wrist strap.

[QUOTE=Fhenexx;42066654]It's not really stylish, but I'm going more for performance than style, y'know? Either way, what would you recommend? I'm a college student that carries his laptop and quite a few heavy books around a lot, if that helps.[/QUOTE]
If you wanted performance over style, go with The North Face, although it's common place on campuses now (4 years ago when I was a freshman it wasn't) they are great quality packs that are 'cool' and no one will bat an eye at.
I want these shoes.

Also, gucci color palate.

Ahh you lucky fuck, I've always wanted a trench watch (preferably with a shrapnel guard) but they're too expensive for me. Instead I got an Aeromatic 1912 A1394 watch:

When I see a student or other young person wearing TNF it doesn't look right to me
[QUOTE=MakoSkyDub;42081412]When I see a student or other young person wearing TNF it doesn't look right to me[/QUOTE]
I agree. I thought it was for middle-aged outdoorsy types when I first saw just about everyone wearing it on campus last year. I guess it's pretty big in the midwest though because it's cold as fuck, and half of the midwest goes to school in arizona.
TNF have some p. good windbreakers/jackets, you can tell they're trying to market to ~young hip fashion kids~ now tho since they've been doing all those collabs and what-not
[editline]5th September 2013[/editline]
i really want to get a north face jacket but they're probably too warm to wear now

Uggs, The North Face Denali jacket, school sweat pants, pulled up hair. That is every girl at my university between October and may.
I actually like them, they are good jackets. I mean it's better than a garbage bag material puffy winter coat with a faux fur trim, which is what everyone seems to wear if they don't own a North Face jacket. I wouldn't wear one because I'd rather layer and wear one of my interesting jackets. They are just boring, although they are great jackets.

can you guys just throw out the names of a lot of great stores for americans to shop at (or online in)
i'm familiar with probably a lot of the ones that would be listed, like H&M, urban outfitters, forever 21, uniqlo, karmaloop, obviously jackthreads that kind of thing
however, i just want to make sure i actually have all of my bases covered, so if you guys know of places which aren't as obvious but sell good quality and good looking clothing, please suggest them
[editline]5th September 2013[/editline]
obviously excluding things already written in the OP

i really wish cottonon had the sand colour spitfire jean in stock. i really like the fit of those jeans. and coloured jeans are way better than chinos

Side question: They're for guys right? I like the plain white ones but now I'm second guessing myself.. They're kinda cool, right?
Don't tell me neither because you'll upset me.
[editline]5th September 2013[/editline]
they'd look better after you dirty them up a bit
[editline]5th September 2013[/editline]
also im not very fashionable this is more of a 'is it acceptable' question.
[editline]5th September 2013[/editline]
actually what am i thinking.. Those are girls shoes. Right? I'm so conflicted and confused.
are you really asking if converse high tops are girl shoes?
they're unisex dude
Yeah I know, but does the white look feminine or are they okay? I initially thought they might be nice but now I'm second guessing myself whether or not they're even that good. They're kinda okay?
*cough* clown shoes *cough*
it totally depends on what youre wearing as well. I personally dont like them but theyre not seen as something girly
[QUOTE=Rusty100;42084799]

are cotton on jeans any good? I usually just buy their super comfy shirts
[QUOTE=ThatCrazyGmanV2;42085199]are cotton on jeans any good? I usually just buy their super comfy shirts[/QUOTE]
eh cotton on quality is not great. but the spitfire jeans feel great and look nice and are pretty cheap so who's complaining
Also, are vests meant to be shorter than the shirt it's over? I've been shopping for a denim vest and keep seeing them being shorter than the shirt and sometimes the same, is it just a fashion thing or what?
probably dont wear a denim vest
[editline]5th September 2013[/editline]
also just like denim jackets, theyre meant to be shorter, yes.
you can usually tell how long something's supposed to be by the arms. if the arms fit but it's short, it's meant to be that way. unless you're just a really disproportionate person
[editline]5th September 2013[/editline]
where can i get some cheap skinny stretch jeans in a light/beige/sandy colour?
[editline]5th September 2013[/editline]
like this but cheaper

i mean i like chucks but i like greys or browns
Jay Jay's do p. good jeans for hella cheap
the rest of the store is fucking terrible tho
probably wont want to tell people you bought your jeans from jay jay's but they're good for the price
[editline]5th September 2013[/editline]
i have a couple of pairs from jay jay's and they've lasted me years actually but I'm not sure what they're like now
[editline]5th September 2013[/editline]
also pls never wear denim vest unless you want to become fedora tier dad-rocker and pair it with ripped skinnies and a guns n roses shirt
[editline]5th September 2013[/editline]
other vests can work (sometimes) but just pls no denim
i don't even know what a denim vest is
[editline]5th September 2013[/editline]
oh it's just a denim jacket with no sleeves, ahahahahaha please do not ever buy one of those
[QUOTE=zerosix;42085707]i don't even know what a denim vest is

wow
those are so bad.
they look like plastic.
[QUOTE=sp00ks;42085912]wow

i think converting them into slip-ons would count as a war crime in most countries
it's definitely against the Geneva convention
On the subject of white converse, Steve McQueen wore white converse Jack Purcells, and he's the epitome of manliness, so I think you're safe.
