not many people will understand that you're being "ironic" and they'll just think you look tacky sure, if you like a certain label but can't necessarily afford to get the real thing, by all means wear a decent replica, but really badly faked clothing kinda makes me sad, it doesn't make me think "he's being funny", it just kinda makes me want to yell at the person wearing it
I've never seen someone wearing obviously 'fake' clothing aside from cheap fake UGG boots. A few days ago my local goodwill had some Supreme stuff, a tiger stripe camo 'pullover' jacket that looked just like this except a different pattern and two black supreme hoodies, All of which was in great shape but just wasn't interesting to me. They were mediums. I was enamored that day by a vintage black leather duster that had me constantly quoting Always Sunny with my friend as I shopped wearing the duster. I regret not buying the duster, as it wasn't there today. Well shit, now I realize that regardless of how silly the jacket and hoodies looked I should have bought them for the $5 a piece they were just to resell, I had no idea what kind of price people pay for that shit, good god.
I AM SO MAD AT YOU. I'M A SIZE MEDIUM. [editline]27th September 2013[/editline] YOU WOULD HAVE GOTTEN $400 FOR THE REAL TREE (ONE IN THE PICTURE) ALONE.
what's the general opinion on cotton on? they have really cheap prices, are the shirts good quality and fit?
this is what I'm talking about i think this is hilarous or these purple evangelion fuckin yeezy 2s did they ever make purple yeezys? No. Yet they make them in china and you can buy them.
You must have real dedication to humour if you make a point to wear the shittiest knock off clothing you can dig up As shark said nobody will get the "joke" you'll just look atrocious
what's the general opinion on cotton on? they have really cheap prices, are the shirts good quality and fit?
Their clothes are pretty comfortable IMO, considering the cost they're pretty good, but the t-shirts tend to be on the thin side, good for layering in warmer weather but not that great in the cold.
cotton on aren't very good quality. i think they were once, but not currently.
Besides getting a pair of Beeswax CDB, i just saw a guy in slimfit tracksuit pants. London ia fucking weird, great city though. Its suprisingly fashion concious too, with the side effect of making me look like shit. I've also noticed its kind of a go hard or go home deal.
I know nothing about values or anything like that, but I'll bet those items were fake.
Perhaps, but if they were real, he has made the biggest mistake of his life.
I know nothing about values or anything like that, but I'll bet those items were fake.
I know by the quality of the jacket from what I remember it was definitely not a fake, but it wasn't that real tree pattern like above, like I said it was a tiger stripe. And it wasn't the biggest mistake of my life, it just would have been a quick $200 from what I gather.

I think at least the Supreme one is clear enough. I find it funny, but I wouldnt wear it. A shirt like that would be exactly like wearing something from Threadless. I mean, yeah I get the joke, cool, but then its just bad stuff to wear

Well thats like your opinion man. I think if a friend of mine came up to me with that shirt, wed have a laugh. If I saw someone wearing that outside, Id go "oh yeah", but after that moment nobody would care anymore
my parents say stussy was the hurley of the 80s
its dumb how much stussy costs here compared to the US. I've seen clothing that costs literally half as much in the US to here :/ Like 5 years ago before stussy got mainstream i could get t's for £20 and now they cost £30-40
just out of interest, how do you guys pronounce stussy? 1. "stoosy" or 2. "stussee"? i say "stoosy" but all my friends say "stussee" i'm american and they're english, is that why?
Stussee
Stusse, but now I noticed the logo actually says Stüssy, which if it does, then it would read something like stoossy
cotton on aren't very good quality. i think they were once, but not currently.
some of my friends have their current shirts on their website which are on a big clearance (some shirts are $2 in some colors, although the other colors of the shirt are around $5-$9.) and they said they're pretty comfy. thing is, a friend of mine who told me about cotton on didn't know you could change their online shipping from Australia ($45 shipping) to US ($6 shipping). He was all like "yeah you have to go to their local store, their online store is in Australia is $45 shipping" man was he happy when I told him you could change the shipping to US.. [editline]28th September 2013[/editline]
Their clothes are pretty comfortable IMO, considering the cost they're pretty good, but the t-shirts tend to be on the thin side, good for layering in warmer weather but not that great in the cold.
Not all that worried about how thin they are, central Florida is hot all year around :v:
I've somewhat given up on thrift shops. I go into a thrift shop and there are like clothes spilling out of every nook and cranny but there's only like 5 things in the entire store that are a size small and everything else is like XXL.
There are no good thrift shops here in Brazil. I suppose it's just our culture that's different, I live in a huge city and I've never seen a decent thrift shop here, but in the US I went to plenty of amazing ones
If I wanted to look like a russian lowlife from the 80's, my local thrift shop would be a good place. I have literally only bought a pack of boxers from them. Im joking

Do you say foosy instead of fussy? It's not really fashion is it

[editline]29th September 2013[/editline] Ok, but why would you want to be (I know this sounds exaggerated but is apt) a walking joke? It's not really fashion is it
It's a joke on fashion. Taking something worth so much and reducing it to some weird Chinese knockoff. It's like hanging a fake Mona Lisa in your house. Everyone knows it's fake and can chuckle at it, but I don't think that makes your house a joke. Also, brands like stussy make jokes on high fashion like this, with their No.4 and Gucci crossing s's. It's a joke on exclusivity and elitism, not myself
its not a very funny joke and one most wont even get. so i dont recommend it
It's like hanging a fake Mona Lisa in your house. Everyone knows it's fake and can chuckle at it
Yes that would be hilarious haw haw haw
Why would you pronounce it stoosy, there's a double S, pronounce it like it's spelt? Do you say foosy instead of fussy?
It has a "ü" in it, I asked a friend of mine from New York and he says "stoosy" as well. I guess it's an American thing.
