i dont think scarves are very essential. if its cold and windy i just wear a leather jacket with a fur collar and pop it.
When it gets to -10* here with a windchill and I'm on a bike my perpetually popped pea-coat collar just doesn't cut it.
Damn, now I'm thinking about scarves again. I'll just have Kaleigh crochet me another, she made me a grey one last year and it was perfect, maybe a natural wool colored one would be nice to have.

At $54 though it looks like a fine jacket. I'm personally not a fan of that clasp system, it'd be more stylish, in my opinion, without all of those.
which brands are actually good quality is my question
[editline]2nd October 2013[/editline]
i want clothes that will last instead of deteriorating or shrinking like crazy or what have you
[editline]2nd October 2013[/editline]
is banana republic good quality?
If you want T's, try American Apparel poly-cotton blend shirts, (their cotton shirts shrink pretty strongly) but their T's fit great and hold up nicely over time.
i was also considering investing in a nice peacoat, anyone got suggestions that are good quality but won't break the bank?

I bought a tall thinsulate lined J.crew Dock peacoat in charcoal, three seasons ago and I love it, it's fantastic still. I should get it dry-cleaned within the coming weeks though.

I have yet to come across a nicer peacoat since. I'd invest more in something like a peacoat, since it's classic and won't be out of style the next season.
I'm seriously debating getting one of these, not sure which. Leaning towards the latter.
Filson lined short cruiser, waxed.

Filson Levi's collaboration jacket in oiled tin.

Filson products age so beautifully, like a nice pair of boots.
what is a good percentage of polyester to make sure a shirt doesn't shrink like crazy or fall apart/get misshapen
[editline]2nd October 2013[/editline]
because i have 40% polyester 60% cotton shirts that still do that

okay fuck this how about this one instead http://www.zara.com/us/en/man/coats-and-trench-coats/trench-coat-with-pockets-c277002p1293631.html y/n
i'm a tiny guy
also it seems like the really light, thin cotton shirts that every place sells deteriorate so quickly and shrink so easily
maybe it's my washing machine or something idk because it seems like not many other people have this problem as badly as i do
[editline]2nd October 2013[/editline]
automerge broken again
It sounds like you must wash your shirts in a barrel of nails.
I'd say try a American Apparel size small and see how you like it.

Raised by Wolves clothing is insane quality.
Their 5 panels are some of the best you can get, so I'm imagining that sweater should be nice and last you a long time (assuming you don't get bored of it in a month lmao)

also even tho people seem to h8 my fashion here ( :(((( ) I think this is super nice

made by a local store, their other clothing is really good quality. Thinking about picking one up this week (if there's any left)
Is that you or some other wigger

this whole thread seems to be about boots and yucky jackets and shit, even though it's a thread about all kinds of fashion there's a pretty specific target audience
there aren't even enough people like you and I to make like a "streetwear / skatewear" thread
:(
i do not own a single pair of boots and my jackets arent yucky, therefore you are wrong
rekt
It doesn't seem hard to start a clothing line from the looks of it. Simply find suppliers for tshirts and hats, and then simply get an embroidery machine and a screen printer and then markup! I found USA suppliers of 5 panel hats coming in at $3 a hat, not to shabby, good profit margin. It's quite literally all marketing.
i like street/skate wear but i absolutely despise air jordans or backwards hats
How's my fit?

Fit of what in particular?
Fit meaning outfit here
Everything, in a way.
Not liking the jacket at all
I like basball jackets, they fit quite well with a lot of stuff in my opinion. I own one myself, it's neat. According to my girlfriend, that outfits sucks though and she knows quite well how to dress properly :v:
Man, recently I feel like my shirts don't fit at all to me anymore. I used to wear shirts and blazers all the time but now I dislike them for some reason, perhaps because my hair is shorter than before. I think it looks silly one me. Although I still need to find some outfits that make me appear adult and older, I have quite an babyface and if I wear casual stuff, I look really young.
Need to try on some new combos. Perhaps combine my shirts with other stuff.
Baseball jackets can be fine. That one is just bizarrely styled and makes me think of the Korean "HOT FASHION WOW VERY CHEAP" shit on eBay
Looks like a perfectly fine varsity jacket to me, what makes you guys think it's odd?
It looks like it has a very high neckline in that picture but I can't really tell
..Although I still need to find some outfits that make me appear adult and older, I have quite an babyface and if I wear casual stuff, I look really young..
I'm almost 20 and people usually think I'm 15, don't get me started on a babyface. :v:

the pants fit awkwardly and the white shirt doesn't fit the jacket. i would go with a white t-shirt
I'm almost 20 and people usually think I'm 15, don't get me started on a babyface. :v:
Yeah, I'm really slanky and have a babyface. I looke like a 16 year old even though I'm 21. Although depending on what I wear I look a lot older according to my friends, family and girlfriend.
So I'm starting to get some outfits together to make me look more mature. Like I mentioned I used to wear a lot of shirts, vests and blazers but nowadays I prefer hoodies, jackets, tank tops and the like which makes me look like some teenager.
Anyway I'm going on a shopping trip tomorrow with my girlfriend, hopefully I can find something.
