Fix Up! Look Sharp v9: Winged shoes don't make you look fly

i dont think its irony, i think people buy shoes because they like how they look, like how they feel, or need them for a specific reason.
the reason why running shoes are not acceptable casual shoes "because you aren't running" but boots are is dumb and hypocritical
wear both, i got nothing against either
don't know what to do with my hair, and it's fucking pissing me off.

lolno
theres barely any "casual running shoes" out there compared to casual boots
people here are against workboots for casual wear too so i dont see your point

i was talking to rusty mostly
he likes boots
also basically all new balances and adidas are running shoes, and they are all casual
wtf not even close to half the adidas shoes you see in most stores are running shoes
they're sports shoes sure, but not running, no
besides, i already said theres such a thing as a "casual running shoe" such as roshes, its just that a lot of them are still too much on the "running" side and not enough on the "casual"
i'm not against running shoes, i'm against stupid looking shoes, and those two tend to cross over a lot
however, if you find cool looking running shoes (ie roshes) then wear em by all means
New (running) shoes that om gonna wear casually

Is it me or do flyknits and freeruns look out of place 99% of the time when worn casually? Especially if people wear them in neon colors.

Yes they look out of place, to me, for everything but running from the people I've seen wearing them, but if you are the kind of person always wearing sports clothes, then they look fine. This coming from someone ordering a pair of Flyknit 5.0's in two weeks.
lol imagine casually wearing sports clothes

that looks more like a soccer shoe than running shoes
lol imagine casually wearing sports clothes
That's literally the standard style for my university. Guys wear basket ball shorts, nike running shoes/basket ball shoes, and a hoody. Often wearing things like under-armor as their go to shirts, and girls wearing sporty tops, short running shorts and their 5.0's or other vibrant puke colored running shoes. I think the look is fitting for people who are college athletes or going for sports medicine or training and are in shape where excersize and health is obviously the main focus of their life.
running shoes are hands down, without a dang doubt, the single ugliest things you can put on your feet. dont think i will ever look at them and understand how some people see the same thing and go 'so beautiful'
it really depends on the shoe and the outfit worn with it tbh, not all running shoes are bad.
and if you wear them with a casual outfit (khakis, plaid shirt, etc.) it will look silly and dumb.
if you find a nice pair, some can easily work with shorts or maybe a slight sporty outfit.

The worst combination is sport shoes and jeans.

very good, i wish i could justify paying for a pair myself
I was shopping for levi's one day and some old guy was there bitching to me about how they were so expensive (they were $40).
Fuck off, old man. I want to look good with my money.
$40 is not expensive at all for jeans though
[editline]14th October 2013[/editline]
i mean you COULD buy Kirkland Signature™ Premium Quality Denim if you want but complaining about a $40 price tag is just silly
kinda want this for days what are just a bit cold

kind of a dumb question, but does it matter at all what designs are on your underwear looks like?
i'm asking because im gonna get some new boxers and don't know if i should just get simple cololrs like grey or actually get plaid.
i got a really nice birthday present from my fashion friend for my birthday
its a derby of san francisco jacket, which are pretty expensive jackets, from what i saw at their store on height street in san francisco. He got it second hand, but it is still in really nice condition. I'm into a cream grey white color scheme lately, and this fits the bill perfectly. ignore my long hair and dumb face, the hair is for a halloween costume and the face i have to live with

and the super flossy gold paisley fabric on the inside, the signature of a derby jacket
it's kind of old man attire, but honestly, unzipped, it doesn't look that bad
[editline]15th October 2013[/editline]
not as bad as i'd usually expect from notlabbet at least

ie i dont think you do
[editline]15th October 2013[/editline]
it just looks bland and sort of old chinese man-y on you
I really don't like that style of collar
Nooooo Asos sent me the wrong sized hoodie, it's gonna take at least 3 weeks before I get my hands on the right sized one :(
I like it unzipped but with (what looks like brown) pants and those boots it makes your outfit seem really retirement homely
I'm looking for a good bag to carry things around with. I'm in college and I'll probably need to use a bag very often. I'll mostly be using it for carrying around a laptop, it's accessories (charger, mouse), and some books. I've been looking into getting a Darkine Explorer bag. The ones that I'd get are the Blocks, Nebula, Crux, or Denim. They also have skateboard carrying straps which is a plus because I constantly have my skateboard with me. Or should I go with a messenger bag? I don't really like the style of a lot of messenger bags. A lot of them feel plain to me.
it's either plain or look like a child

Dakine make good bags just don't go with a bright garish design.
Personally i'd go with eastpak for a good quality bag that actually looks decent as well. Especially heritage looking bags.
