I'm looking for a somewhat inexpensive fall/winter jacket, I'd like it to be water proof for my commute. I was thinking about picking up a Levis Commuter Trucker jacket, next time they are on sale. I have had good experiences with their commuter line before. Thoughts?

Is this jacket okay for everyday wear in the winter? http://imgur.com/uKTj0N3 It was my great grandfathers US Navy jacket and I know it's not the greatest looking jacket but I never met my great grandfather so I feel like this brings me closer to him.
I'd say it looks just as good today as it did then... Canvas jackets don't change much.
difficult to say, bad picture. you should definitely get new jeans and boots tho.
difficult to say, bad picture. you should definitely get new jeans and boots tho.
I was camping with boy scouts, they're my work jeans and boots. I have much nicer jeans and shoes for everyday wear.
DEEP edgy pic m8
I was cleaning my nails, a friend snapped a picture of me. Whoop dee doo.
I'm having serious deja vu. I could have sworn I had seen page 115 happen earlier in the thread.

Just the perfect shade of olive drabby green.
What are your thoughts on this jacket?
over-detailed, not a great color scheme also the model looks so uncomfortable
It looks quite awkward in that picture, it's a much better fit in real life though.
Kinda curious what the thread thinks of wearing suits in everyday situations instead of during events (and, well, as well as events, but you get my point).
i feel like that is self explanatory fedora tier
Well I figure as much if it's some cheap, ill-fitted 20$ thing but I was thinking more the "proper-tailored-fits-like-a-glove" kind.
Just wear a blazer.
Is it something specific about the pants that are bad? :v:
Well I figure as much if it's some cheap, ill-fitted 20$ thing but I was thinking more the "proper-tailored-fits-like-a-glove" kind.
yes you will still look like a weirdo 'just goin to the movies with friends better put on my best suit' it's pretty bad.
yes you will still look like a weirdo 'just goin to the movies with friends better put on my best suit' it's pretty bad.
True, when you put it like that I see what you mean. Mostly asked because I usually don't wear suits but recently I got to try on a proper one and they're really comfortable to just walk around in. I'd wear one more often for that reason alone but I don't want to look like a massive twat :v:

Bought this backpack [img_thumb]http://www.evo.com/imgp/1500/65247/325369/herschel-supply-co-settlement-backpack-grey-front.jpg[/img_thumb] It's a bit darker than on the picture. Got it on sale for 35£ The quality is generally good (a few loose threads), but the zipper is pretty awful. Difficult to zip up. There's a few leather pieces on it (the on the zippers and one on the back) which is a nice touch. The golden zipper and brown leather bits go very well with the grey fabric of the bag.
I see people wearing suits on campus daily... Even freshmen. They're all Business majors, though. So, I guess you could probably pull it off if you're a business major on a college campus. Anywhere outside of that is highly situational.
