Did you get to see anyone from Odd Future when you were there tho?
i don't think so, i don't really follow that group. the guys there didn't even look up from their phones, and they were playing some terrible scream based punk
what I wear is so inoffensive that the problem lies squarely with you if that makes you want to vomit [editline]3rd November 2013[/editline] grey tshirts, buttoned shirts, skinny jeans, boots. eugh vomit worthy!!!!!!
please stop threadshitting via putting your opinion up on a pedestal and treating it as a fact. people have different style than you, fucking deal with it. every single page in this thread is you arguing with somebody.
how is my ego like yours at all i don't use words like "monstrosity" to describe tshirts
id use it to describe this shirt lol [t]http://images.cdn.bigcartel.com/bigcartel/product_images/123258384/max_h-1000+max_w-1000/8-t1_black02.jpg[/t] the whole square graphic on a shirt is like an amateur's first self printed graphic. and as far as i can tell the style became popular out of irony. it doesn't make it look any better. not to mention the picture looks bad on a shirt, and supreme had nothing to do with the original artwork other than slap SUPREME on it, and even in doing so they broke a rule with white font on a very light background around the corners, which just makes it look worse and hard on the eyes. either it's bad to be ironic, which is terrible for clothes, or it's just bad. stuff like that definitely qualifies for monstrous.
alright so I bought this for a costume but it's actually super nice and comfortable and I kind of love it.
Did you go as the Dude, dude? But that's a pretty sweet sweater. I've got something similar because it reminded me of the Dude. I love it. [t]http://i.imgur.com/PtT94LB.jpg[/t]
how is my ego like yours at all
you are still defending your opinions you consider to be correct or more correct than mine as vehemently as me!

well i mean you could give even one reason the shirt isnt awful instead of just being like 'well i like it so' i guess actually making sense is garbage!
it's in the same way mostly asian people were superdry.
Only in australia. Overall asian consumers are very probably in the minority for SD, since it's a british company who sell all over the place.
well i mean you could give even one reason the shirt isnt awful instead of just being like 'well i like it so'
lol because he likes it whether or not something is or isnt awful is completely subjective, i dont think you understand this
well i mean you could give even one reason the shirt isnt awful instead of just being like 'well i like it so' i guess actually making sense is garbage!
why does fashion exist other than "i like how it looks" really tho, if people didn't have opinions on clothing, we would all be wearing matching jumpsuits or something
Only in australia. Overall asian consumers are very probably in the minority for SD, since it's a british company who sell all over the place.
Maybe that might just be Rusty's problem. Seeing everything through an Australian point of view. Because when I see people wearing Supreme here in California, I see both white and black people wear it and I don't think a lot of people here consider it a "black" brand of clothing, at least I don't.
what am i supposed to say to that? no? i like how it looks and you are wrong? i'm wearing it and i don't agree with you
He isn't wrong in that case though really, the shirt is objectively bad for a variety of reasons
ok, yeah, but a lot of supreme stuff just flat out violates any sense of design. on purpose or not, i have no idea. like, i'm pretty sure that whole scene was just born out of irony. repurposing bad design into it's own niche. like using comic sans. [editline]3rd November 2013[/editline] wasnt it notlabbet who literally wears things as ironic statements, or was that someone else?
i did i wore fake really expensive stuff becuase i thought it was funny
That was him yeah And that is my understanding of Supreme as well [editline]3rd November 2013[/editline]
why does fashion exist other than "i like how it looks"

It's not about being TOLD your clothes are ugly. You dress well so you can walk down the street and feel good about yourself Idk about you but I always look at people's clothes. I appreciate when they do it right and on the flip side I always notice if someone's wearing horrible runners or something. When you see someone you don't know for example, your first impression is made up entirely on clothes/hair/grooming. It's a primary factor for self respect/self confidence/being an attractive human being etc etc

I did go as the Dude, dude!
Far out, man. Far out.
i guess the other main attraction to supreme is how their clothes are a little slice of streetwear history ex., i was at a streetwear consignment store today and saw the classic box logo tee in a display case and i could appreciate it because they haven't made that shirt since the 90s and its super rare my friend got a supreme shirt from that consignment store that had a picture of john coltrane in the black flag logo bars, and we had never seen one like it before. It turns out it is a shirt from 2008 and only sold in japan. I think thats kinda cool.
Maybe that might just be Rusty's problem. Seeing everything through an Australian point of view. [editline]3rd November 2013[/editline] but most guys over here wear the bintang logo tank tops they got in bali and some K-mart boardies anyway, so WA isn't the best place to use as an example of any sort of style :v: [editline]3rd November 2013[/editline] I like supreme clothing in the way I like goth ninja, I like the way it looks and works on other people, but I would personally never wear it.

They're pretty groovy, probably a piece I'd actually consider wearing if it was decently priced [editline]3rd November 2013[/editline]
I admire people who pull off goth ninja. And the ability to wear such clothing without dying of heat stroke.
Right now it's been around 30 degrees for the last week and a half, and winter temps tend to be around 15-20 so it would be a terrible idea to try it over here. I would love to mess around with proportions and incorporate some goth ninja elements into my wardrobe, but you kinda have to dress fairly plain over here because people are assholes to others that try to be a little more "out there" in their stylings.
Supreme has pretty decent stuff but streetwear is really a mix bag. I like the more simple stuff streetwear comes out with that isn't shouting hypebeast to everyone. Like here's some that Supreme puts out that isn't that bad. [t]http://d17ol771963kd3.cloudfront.net/167634/zo/1-j39_black01.jpg[/t] [t]http://d17ol771963kd3.cloudfront.net/167670/zo/2-j8_dusty_blue01.jpg[/t] [t]http://d17ol771963kd3.cloudfront.net/167911/zo/12-sw15_black01.jpg[/t] [t]http://d17ol771963kd3.cloudfront.net/167912/zo/13-sw15_black02.jpg[/t] And then there's the really just weird ones that I'm pretty sure are jokes or whatever within the streetwear community and obviously targeted for them Like this. Like what??? [t]http://d17ol771963kd3.cloudfront.net/167637/zo/0-sk6_black.jpg[/t]
hm im not sure those first four are any good either...
