Fix Up! Look Sharp v9: Winged shoes don't make you look fly

I own a single pair of light jeans, and two pairs of dark jeans.
My closet is mostly built around dark jeans, though.
i don't own any jeans, just work pants and cords.
I only have 1 pair of dark jeans, and I rarely use it because my wardrobe now call for other colors other than blue underneath
i have so many jeans
all of them skinny
I really can't stand other fits than skinny fit.
I now dislike my Levi 510's in favor of the fit of the 511's, which are undeniably my favorite jeans.
everyone wears blue jeans
everyone
all the time
It's all about the chinos.
I dislike any jean that isn't a slim/straight indigo. They're much more versatile than the average jean.
I have a pair of black Levis 510s that I wear all the time. If I'm not wearing them, I wear a pair of Naked & Famous SuperSkinnyGuys raws. I own a pair of white jeans that I wore at most twice, a pair of duck jeans that I wear occasionally, and a bunch of old pairs of bootcut, pre-distressed Levis that I haven't worn in years (and should probably bring to Goodwill now that I think of it). I'd like to get a pair of waxed black jeans sometime, and a grey pair, too.
I don't wear skinny jeans... I tend to stick to straight fit and bootcut.
Also, I've put the neon monstrosities back in the closet for when I go jogging, and have brought out my dark brown Timberland boots.
They're this pair, or very similar: http://shop.timberland.com/product/index.jsp?productId=4207918
Hopefully you approve. And if not, well, now you know that I don't own any non-hideous shoes.
Also important to note, my jeans cover the top half of the boot, so imagine that without the top bit.
hiking boots are not good casual wear!!

i have the exact same kind and they're designated for snow shoveling duty and such, nothing else
Very true. However, they look marginally better than the Sauconys, so I've got that going for me.
It's all about the chinos.
brown/tan skinny jeans have the benefit of added colour to your wardrobe while also having the benefit of being denim. i find skinny denim far more maneuverable than skinny chinos which can get a bit tight since they're not as stretch. in my experience anyway

boot cuts are monstrosities. do not ever wear any. get some skinny jeans for the love of god.

also, that boot is really ugly. dont get hiking shoes for casual wear. literally only wear a hiking boot for hiking, because theyre entirely function over form, as is their purpose. theyre not nice looking shoes.

a really good middle ground between fashionable and practical (and durability) are red wings.
Rusty, my friend, you do not want to see me in skinny jeans. I do not want to see me in skinny jeans. Nobody wants to see me in skinny jeans.
Now, since I am currently experiencing this magical thing called "being flat broke and unemployed", I can't go out and buy new shoes. I've got my Reef sandals, the neon sauconys, and those boots. Out of all three, which is the lesser of evils? If you say the sandals, I'm going to tell you to piss off. It's 20F here.
To further clarify, I didn't buy the boots for casual wear. I bought them for hiking several years ago. They just happened to be sitting in my closet, and I wagered they were more subtle than my trainers.
if you're too hefty for skinny jeans, at LEAST don't get boot cut. boot cut is a slightly flared bottom. do you want to walk around in bell bottoms? i didn't think so.
I'm a skinny bastard but I hate skinny jeans. Slim is the way to go for me.

I agree, I was wearing skinny H&M chinos for a while, but a couple months ago I picked up a couple of the commuter 511 chinos from Levis, and man, I'm not going back.
slim fit is best
i almost exclusively only wear bootleg cut jeans.
you should do the opposite of that
because boot cut jeans are so hilariously terrible

pls don't wear boot cut jeans ever - they're as bad as the running shoes you used to wear & the only time they're ever acceptable is if you're going to a dress up party or something
even straight fits are eh - the least you could do is go slim fit
as for the shoes; they're definitely not the worst but they're definitely not, well, good either - still better than sandals or those running shoes tho

My denim jacket fits like that, almost even looks the same. I love it so much.
I need more slim and/or skinny fit jeans and chinos, shame the selection is pathetic over where I live. Gotta order online all the time.
skinny jeans are pretty much the only acceptable kind of jeans these days, everyone that wears any other kind of jeans is either a) your dad b) someone elses dad or c) your uncle
im so skinny though that skinny jeans arent skinny enough lol
[editline]15th November 2013[/editline]
gotta put them through the dryer for shrinkage
i only wear slim fit pants, whenever i wear skinny they look like leggings
slim fit are basically skinny on me, my physique doesnt match well with skinny jeans
