comparing pokemon to an incredibly rare pair of shoes/movie memorabilia is pretty stupid.
i'm not saying 1500 isn't a lot, but people pay a FUCK ton for rare shit man and you can guarantee they'll be worth more later in life.
Hey guys some of you may remember from a couple months ago when I brought the weather shoes and now I need your opinions on a purchase im thinking about making that im fighting the urge to buy.
Im thinking of dropping 10k on a pair of shoes even though I could afford to spend that kind of money, I rather not. The shoes are called Marty Mcfly's. The shoe is based on the Back to the Future movies and it lights up and is MEGA rare to come by only 1,500 pairs made for the Micheal J. Fox charity. :suicide:

Should I buy them?
Complete bullshit how can you guys even believe this

my point is collecting shit is a pretty silly hobby, now that I look back I am being quite ignorant, if something makes someone happy who am I to say otherwise, but I'm just saying there are a lot better things you could spend ten thousand dollars on.
You can get a pair of spiderman shoes with lights in them for $50

What why
Gonna be picking up a pair of Clarks Desert Boots, but I can't decide between leather and suede. What do you guys think? Normally I wear slim dark jeans, and my 'every day' pair of shoes are suede.
beeswax leather

Honestly i think rare sneaker collecting is one of the best hobbies you could get into. I've been doing it for a while now and although it may be expensive at first i can usually pay it off by reselling. If you ever decide to stop collecting you can easily sell a majority of sneakers for more than what you paid for as shoes get rarer and more valuable as they age.

Pros:
Shoulder seams seem to be fitting correct
Cons:
You don't have the body to fill out a t-shirt other than a small which wouldn't look good either
Sleeves go halfway down your arm
Advertising MLP fandom
Shirt is very loose on chest and everywhere else.
Basically you're not going to be able to look very good in a t-shirt unless you develop a body to look good in t-shirts.
Having an ill-fitting MLP shirt is a cardinal sin though.

If only I got this when they still had XS.
What is something good to layer under casual blazers? I have a couple of collared shirts that look nice, but if I wear a sweater underneath it looks kinda tacky.

nah man. its combination clothing. do not get it. just get a grey hoodie, and a trucker jacket and layer them.

definitely dont do casual blazers unless you're handsome and relatively slim, even then you may not work it.

Am I the only one who can't layer clothing cause I sweat too easily? Seriously, its like 25 outside and if I wear more than a jacket and a tshirt I start sweating...

I'm slim and I think I'm handsome, but the latter part is based off of personal opinion and the only people that call me handsome are older relatives so can't be too certain of that. Still though, what is usually good under the top layer pretending it isn't a casual blazer then.

Eh, I still like it. Usually Topman knows what they're doing, plus I like going in the more minimal route instead of using a bunch of layers.
I recommend Woolrich, Filson or L.L. Bean but that's not for everyone.
these all make me cry because they got so many sweet wool shackets, while i am studying in SF where a windbreaker is the heftiest i'll ever need to wear. most of the time just a denim/flannel shirt, if even that.
i only get to experience one month of norway's winter each year, so i cant justify buying anything.
[editline]25th November 2013[/editline]
wow. Old Navy of all places has a flannel shirt in solid blue. i know what im buying.

just get a hoodie and then a denim jacket and u have the freedom to wear either if u ever feel like it.
I already got a hoodie and denim jacket though, I just don't like to layer too many things all at once.
[editline]25th November 2013[/editline]
Then again, I probably dress a bit tacky to begin with. Which is why I hate it when people ask me how to dress better irl. It's just hard to pick clothes for other people because I usually pick what I'd like, not what would look good on them.
Am I the only one who can't layer clothing cause I sweat too easily? Seriously, its like 25 outside and if I wear more than a jacket and a tshirt I start sweating...
if you mean 25 celsius then that's perfectly understandable
it you mean 25 fahrenheint, then wtf
though it's still sorta understandable because americans love internal heating
i'm 6ft 3'' and skinny as fuck and I can only wear size large stuff if I want the sleeves to be long enough etc. so everything is baggy on me :(

I'm siding with rusty and jens on this, I feel getting a combo piece is a poor choice. When you can get an American apparel blank zip hoody and a real Levi's jacket and have something that looks better, feels better and is more versatile for nearly the same price. Doing it that way you can also change the hoody color if you wanted.

I've been surprised what I've seen in old navy. They have nice colored vnecks that have a good fit. Also I feel your pain, layering up in winter is just so satisfying in a cold climate, I don't think I could deal with it always being beautiful weather.
So I'm on the hunt now for a red/black buffalo check all wool scarf. J.Crew has a Cashmire one but it's rediculously expensive for a scarf. Woolrich has one but it's not a my favorite plaid.

In almost all shirts the larges don't even have longer sleeves, it's just the shoulders are wider and it hangs lower and feels longer. Finding long enough shirts can be a royal pain, I'm 6'3" as well.

On the topic of casual blazers. Uhm, only wear them if you don't wear them every day and they're not complex or anything. Simple blazer, occasionally, like, two times a week max, plus semi-formal events.
Never buying a pair of Vans ever again. I posted a pair of TNT5's that I proudly brought not too long ago. I have generally used them for walking around London in and have rarely skated in them. They age so fast, they look like I've had them for forever.
I think from now on I'm going to stick with Nike SBs
