So how would I go about asking for some help on wardrobe? I've been trying to dress nicer recently, because honestly, the band tee's, jeans, and sneakers everyday has really got to go.
Well it depends on what kind of style you're looking for. You can start by simply replacing band t-shirts with simpler t-shirts, avoid anything plastered in obnoxious logos. If I was starting from scratch and was new to everything I'd find someones style I like, who is roughly the same build, and figure out why I like it, and go from there.

Im looking for a pair of dark brown pants that are as *forgiving as jeans. *forgiving as in they can get beat up and have **shit spilled and stained on them without it looking awful/too noticable. **shit as in oil paint (sometimes doesnt lift off completely), charcoal, guacamole, and coffee. Regular chinos have are too proper. they got no texture or variation in tone so the smallest stain stands out too much. [editline]9th December 2013[/editline] Are brown jeans a thing? Canvas chinos? Maybe i'll get some slim-fit camo pants.
brown jeans are definitely a thing, i own two pairs [editline]9th December 2013[/editline] these arent jeans, but i really want them http://www.asos.com/au/Levis-Vintage/Levis-Vintage-Cord-Trousers-519-Bedford/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=2270883&SearchQuery=levis%20bedford&sh=0&pge=0&pgesize=36&sort=-1&clr=Brown shame about the price though
**shit as in oil paint (sometimes doesnt lift off completely), charcoal, guacamole, and coffee.
thats a really specific set of things that you spill on your pants
i never spill anything on my pants. always shirts
i often spill beer all over myself, but that's it. [editline]9th December 2013[/editline] how many pairs of pants do you have rusty?
like, 10?
thats a really specific set of things that you spill on your pants
Welcome to art school. I always seem to have charcoal dust somewhere on my person.
yeah i remember when I was visiting an art school and getting out of there drenched in guacamole
sounds like heaven to me
yeah i remember when I was visiting an art school and getting out of there drenched in guacamole
Guacamole is full of essential nutrients to fuel stressful art making marathons that last late into the night.
What kind of coat/jacket can I wear for winter as a rather skinny person ?
What kind of coat/jacket can I wear for winter as a rather skinny person ?
a slim fit one. what sort of coat are you looking for? dressy, casual, extra warm, what?
Jeans are American Eagle and shoes are Armadillo. http://www.reddit.com/r/malefashionadvice/comments/1qdwke/waywt_nov_11th/cdbtk1q
I know I talked to him. The shoes I can't find, they seem to be pretty off brand, and the jeans I can't find either at AOE. Idk how I can't find a good pair of jeans, I want something that doesn't have shitty fades on the knees and that's slim like in that picture. Also around $30-40 or something like that. All the jeans I find are either way too light denim, too faded, too saturated blue, or not slim enough.
yeah i remember when I was visiting an art school and getting out of there drenched in guacamole
Thats fine art for you [editline]10th December 2013[/editline] Jk. im in illustration.
whats with the filter
[t]http://i.imgur.com/zBErWM4.png[/t] new coat, $90 warm as hell too
I think the coat+hoodie combo looks bad.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/zBErWM4.png[/t] new coat, $90 warm as hell too
Now I know what you look like!
I agree, hair needs to be different. It honestly looks photoshopped somehow, thats how bizarre it looks
I think the hoody and jacket combo looks fine. Nothing offensive at least. I prefer to wear my peacoat collar up though. Also I agree on the glasses, if you want to stick with glasses I'd get heavier more contemporary frames.
I feel like sometimes I want to post here but you guys seem to have a very binary ruleset for deciding what's good and what's bad, despite the fact that I've been told I should just wear whatever I like. Half of me wants to open my ears, the other half of me wants to not have to stress out about something new.
Those glasses look extremely similar to my own. I know they're not very contemporary-looking but I never wear them out in public (I wear contacts every day), so they're fine for me. Glasses are just for when I get home and my contacts are dried out or if I'm planning on just staying around the house or something and being lazy [t]http://i.imgur.com/uraPJmG.jpg[/t]
also i've been wanting to ask for opinions on what to do with curly hair but yet again i'm not sure if i want to bother. also a tad scared i'll be eaten alive.

Half of me wants to open my ears, the other half of me wants to not have to stress out about something new.
i was in a similar boat as you a while ago, and i can safely say that taking some criticism on board and fine-tuning your style is always a worthwhile thing. obviously you don't have to take anyone's advice if it's just going to stress you out, it's just really nice to have the added confidence.
I've considered contacts but they sound like such a hassle (also I really dislike how I look without glasses) Any suggestions for frames?
I'm sure you wouldn't look bad with contacts once you get a haircut, but if you really don't want contacts you could always go for something basic like Wayfarers. They're a bit over-done but they generally work and go with many different styles.
Here's a picture where you can actually see my hair [t]http://i.imgur.com/PeBTRlo.jpg[/t] It grows way too fast and has gotten pretty long, getting a haircut on Thursday Appreciate the feedback on my glasses
i see potential, please just get rid of the helmet hair and invest in some new frames/contacts

It'd be good if you let us know what sort of style you want to go for, otherwise you'll just end up with half the people trying to tell you to buy peacoats and boots and some people telling you to buy sneakers and hoodies which would just lead to another argument :^( [editline]10th December 2013[/editline] muh merge doe
