Anybody know where I can get a pair of Wayfarer frames?
The local Lenscrafters don't have them, but they can cut lenses for them.
Also, I'll be back here shortly to ask for advice on clothes, since I'll actually have some money for clothes. (No arguments this time, I promise.)
Wouldn't you be able to buy a pair of frames online and get the lenses cut for them at the store then?
i don't know how buying prescription glasses work even tho I own/need a pair myself lmao

i bought mine a couple of weeks ago. Get an eye exam at the glasses store or your opticians, and then just go buy the shit online and youll get good lenses for peanuts
I've considered contacts but they sound like such a hassle (also I really dislike how I look without glasses)
Any suggestions for frames?
A thicker square frame

I think your best bet might just be ebay. I've got a pair of those in dark grey and black and I really have enjoyed them. Good luck in finding some.

your face would suit glasses like these I think

Shit example, but you know the general style that I mean
as someone that wears glasses raybans look kinda tacky imo, and I think rounder glasses would still look better on your face

You say Ray Bans are tacky and you post Ray Ban Clubmasters.
ummm I got that image for ebay, and the auction didn't list them as raybans and they were buy it now for £12 so I don't think so
There are probably some nice raybans out there, I just think the ones I usually see people wearing aren't actually that nice.

e.g these ones
Those may not specifically be Ray Ban brand, but that style is a Ray Ban original, everything else is a copy of their design.
I bet I irritated somebody on ebay. There was a jacket I wanted, bids were at $70, I ended up bidding a max of $160 and the previous guy had an autobid set and it cranked the bid up to $162.50 with only a few hours left.

What? Half rim tortoiseshell glasses have been around for ages
[editline]10th December 2013[/editline]
and even so that doesn't mean other brands can't make nicer glasses even if those ray bans are an "original design" lol

your a idiot
Just looked it up, apparently the design didn't originate with Ray Ban, but Bausch and Lomb (Ray Ban) and Art-Craft were the two main manufacturers in the 1950's when the style originated, but Ray Ban is the only one of the original manufacturers still producing the style.
ahh, I had no idea about that. well now I look like a fucking potato hahah shit
I'm looking for something similar to these moccasins, but that are more suitable for outdoor use. Not like the others you see with a huge clunky sole.

Does anyone know of such a thing?
[editline]December 10th 2013[/editline]
These will be used for lounging around the house and stepping outside for a smoke, possibly quick runs to the store.
jesus christ
i used some leather conditioner on my boots to spruce them up, and they look so nice. i take photo

Just get some slippers? they'd be less fugly than those
[editline]11th December 2013[/editline]
Yep Rusty that remark was for you
You guys really think standard moccasins look that ugly? I guess I'm getting old.

Eh, my roommate wears moccasin slippers everywhere when he's not trying to duplicate me. If you want slippers get a nice pair of L.L. bean ones, I'd always wanted a pair myself for around the house.
These frye slippers look like you literally are sticking your feet into a pair of rabbits. I'm not sure how to feel.

as a design they're not particularly good at being shoes, and they're much more expensive than slippers. so just get some shoes or some slippers, don't try and meet it halfway
moccasins look like shit.

I like those as well, I might have to get a pair. That's a great price. I like their more expensive ones, but they've got the leather sole which wouldn't work for me since I've often got to make runs out for firewood in the snow/wet. I like the look of the fleece lined.
top dad

They are house slippers, what would you recommend then to wear in the house during winter that isn't 'dad'? Considering my house is 60* right now and it's 20* outside and my house has hardwood floors it's much more comfortable to have warm footwear on in the house, even with wool socks.
