They are house slippers, what would you recommend then to wear in the house during winter that isn't 'dad'? Considering my house is 60* right now and it's 20* outside and my house has hardwood floors it's much more comfortable to have warm footwear on in the house, even with wool socks.
just get some really thick wool socks. they can make my flagstones comfortable at 40 farenheit so they probably work for hardwood too

so fucking what
Could you guys recommend some warm, stylish winter boots?
I generally wear Arizona skinny jeans (that aren't actually tight on me at all, I just like how they taper) and darker t-shirts with a peacoat. I can't seem to find any low top boots that would fit with that, at least not locally.

if you're just gonna wear something around the house, then who cares if it's dadwear?

I wear heavy wool socks all season long, it still gets cold, and I'd rather not have to lace up some shoes to slip outside to take the trash out or deal with my dog. Slippers have their place.

You won't usually find anything locally with boots unless you're in a big city. What do you consider low top boots? Chukkas or 6" boots?
Never even heard of those before, but from what I found these and these are pretty nice looking imo

Both of those are more closer to shoes than boots. Neither looks like they would handle wear or weather well. Chukkas is a style of boot, and 6" boots are just the height of the boot.
Also, just got my slim fit trucker jacket from Levis and it's atrociously small. It's ridiculous that my other medium slim fit trucker jacket fits fantastically, and this one, the same same size and 'fit' is much shorter, 22 inches long from the neck seam to the bottom on the new one, compared to 25.5" long from the neckseam on my old one. Levi's won't let me exchange the size for a large either and says I can just return the old one and rebuy the new one, even though I got it on sale for $70 and it's now back up to $128. Ridiculous.

this has really become a general clothing thread. nobody here seems to agree on the idea of good style.
so i don't see what's so bad about asking for advice on what might be the warmest/most comfortable/best suited for occasional outdoor use

good thing it's actually not though, because clearly your definition of dad wear is FAR far too broad
of course everything is lame dadwear in the eyes of someone who thinks of Levi's as generic.
levis are generic
how could levis not be generic
they are the definition of generic jeans
I would say whatever brand of jeans they sell at Walmart are generic jeans. The store brand. Levi's are just predominant.

What do you wear?
black chinos from asos, grey h&m jeans
iirc from that photo a few pages back, lord of ears is the embodiment of generic
Winner, have you thought about something like these
[t]http://assets.ray-ban.com/is/image/RayBan/805289445883_shad_qt?$594$[/t]
or these
[t]http://assets.ray-ban.com/is/image/RayBan/805289324485_shad_qt?$594$[/t]
(also fuck contacts they are godawful pieces of shit.)
I used to have thin lanky glasses like Winner but then got a pair of those black ray bans
they're 100 times better looking imo

What do you guys think of any of these colors for XS? I'm trying to figure out what to buy with my gift card

Please inform my how my grey Levis 511's are more generic than your H&M Jeans?
When I see someone wearing nice jeans, I think to myself, "those are nice looking jeans" not "Those are nice looking...oh wait, are those Levis? Ah then never-mind I don't like them then" but that's just me.

i don't think anyone says that
i just think they're generic because everybody wears them, and they don't really have any distinguishing features or uniqueness
how distinguishing and unique can you possibly get with jeans
how distinguishing and unique can you possibly get with jeans
I solely wear Japanese selvedge denim jeans hand made by a waxed mustache in Portland, but don't ask me what selvedge actually is, or how it's better than normal unwashed denim.
I swear we had this conversation a dozen or two pages ago. Ultimately jeans are supposed to be a nice fit, a good color, a classic design, well built and that's it. I don't see how your H&M grey jeans are any more unique or interesting than a pair of Levis.

Well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder... But those are some hideous jeans.
They remind me of the try-hards in high school.
