I'd go with the second pair because they don't have the branding on the outside (also $10 cheaper). If you really want them shiny like the first pair you can always polish them. I don't like the yellow stitching very much, though, I'd rather it be black.
is that you are you styling yourself after miley cyrus
yeah shes my role model and everything
no, i dyed my hair teal 8 months ago and one thing led to another, leaving me with bleached hair on top
then i see miley is doing the same thing, (bitch stole my style)
@zaex, those shoes look similar to my really nice pair of black aldos i own. some of the best shoes ive ever had.
They are some nice shoes man, either pair
this is a bit of a dumb post, rusty. sorry.
who even knows miley currys wears a pair of Docs in a music vid? why do YOU know she's wearing a pair of Docs in that music video? rusty... have you actually watched it?
and even then. no one will make the connection.. no one will say "oh. the miley citrus boots!" (except u)
with that said. those kind of Doc Martens dont look very good, so yeah, no.

what? everyones seen this music video. miley cyrus is one of the most talked about people at the moment and her recent 'looks' have gotten a wide spread coverage. i dont think her outfit in the music video is even close to as obscure as you think it is
[editline]13th December 2013[/editline]
its, like, one of the most parodied things right now. its hard not to notice her huge glomping doc martens if youve seen the video, and most people have.
[editline]13th December 2013[/editline]
i feel the need to remind you jens that not everyone is as sheltered from the outside world as u!! (no offense)

i think more people are talking about how naked she is than what brand her boots are
im not saying its a big deal, but i am saying her shoes are very noticeable in the video, and i can't be the only person to remember what they were. doc martins are very identifiable
[editline]13th December 2013[/editline]
i think more people are talking about how naked she is than what brand her boots are
especially considering how naked she is, the shoes really stand out. far be it from me to tell someone not to dress like a celebrity, but i was just letting him know, many people may recognize these ones specifically as the wreaking ball boots
[editline]13th December 2013[/editline]
i dont like miley cyrus, or the video, but i've seen it, and could easily recognize them and associate the shoes with her.
Is this what I've been missing? Grasp. You were meant to keep the peace. What the heck happened?
its just replying to posts, its not drama
??

for real tho, i didn't even know she was wearing boots until you posted about it
when i think of "wrecking ball" i think of sledgehammer licking
when i think of "doc martins" i think of 80 punk rock
but now that you do know, wouldn't you see the boots on a dude in the street and go 'wrecking ball boots lol' in your head? they are very distinct. all im saying is that i would and i don't think im alone in that
also i dont think theyre very nice looking shoes, theres that too.
[editline]13th December 2013[/editline]
man i dont even care anymore or ever did lets stop talking about her boots it was just a passing comment !!
I think someone wearing docs as a fashion statement does deserve a bit of a scoff, but they are really good boots otherwise. I have 2 pair, and one of them is 30 years old. They are tough as fuck, and good for doing actual work stuff that you might need boots for.

Hi, I forgot who you were, in my infinite stupidity.
I've been super busy, and then I made a terrible shitpost a while back and I felt like I failed in my mission. On break now though! So my zen posting can return.
wait,
lizurd man?
edit: also I was going to jump into the rusty vs. lord argument and try and defuse things but I've been taking care of drunk people and studying for exams all week.

what you talking about
Kanye wtf
I can't say I'd think wrecking ball if I saw a guy wearing tall Doc Marten red boots. Maybe a girl if she was wearing all white and short shorts but that'd be about it. I see asian girls all the time on campus wearing them with tights and skirts and it looks just fine. In my home town (in the heart of the midwest) I've never seen any man wearing any doc martens who were not people still holding on to early late 90's early 00's generic fashion of Doc Martens like this, combined with bootcut, lighter wash jeans.

I'm not saying Doc Martens are bad, I think they're interesting but not my personal style. it's just around here the only ones you ever see people wearing are the most hideous shoes, never the classic tall boots.

why would you shell out $100 docs that look like those when you can go to ross and buy fugly boot shoes for $20
why would you buy shoes with boot soles

It was the late 90's, they were confused and strange people.
I remember my sister having a yardsale, making $180 off her old clothes and then going and buying a pair of american flag tall Doc Martens...
