also another fun fact about lunarcore: that guy with the spongebob body structure in that chart is knoch and he's insane, typically newcomers should stick to poet's fits because he has a more simplistic color-based style
I had no idea lunarcore was actually a thing
if there's something i never ever want to do in my life is actually discuss those weird as shit fashion trends (or should i say /fa/ trends) with someone who actively follows them and wears that stuff i mean, i'd hate to talk about fashion with anyone that follows any sort of trend to the extreme, even the more mainstream ones, it's just that the more obscure ones like goth ninja or lunarcore just reek of pretentiousness and idiocy
probably getting these shoes
what the fuck
Yeaaa, that's what i love about it! idk i just like how that outfit turned out lol, and im still pretty much experimenting and branching out. it's weird. I started out in this thread not knowing anything about clothing, and i still don't know what i'm doing as i experiment more with different styles. It's a fun outlook on how i dress that makes me happy no matter what the results may come out. some people might like it, others not, I may like some outfits and some just complete shit when I look back at it. just have fun with how you dress, and don't be afraid to fuck with shit and try it out and see if YOU yourself like it. that sounds cliche as fuck but that's my philosophy on clothes nowadays.
I'm glad that skinny sweatpants (joggers as Brits call them) are a thing now because it means you can actually go outdoors wearing them without looking like a tool. Wearing them with a peacoat or anything other than just a hoody or a T-shirt looks really odd and I really don't think it'll catch on I don't think they're supposed to be a fashion item, they're just a veryvwelcome improvement on normal joggers and IMO should still only be used in the same way as normal joggers (running to the shop, going to the gym, etc. )
are we still talking about lunarcore?? i fukken love me some lunarcore here's a big ol' chart about the color combinations and general look/different styles of it [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/sHiVdry.jpg[/thumb] and as a bonus, here's another one of poet's fits [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/6GkoaGl.jpg[/thumb]
so basically lunarcore is dress like you're on a spaceship in the 80s? [editline]27th December 2013[/editline] dont get me wrong i think it looks cool - in the right context. and that context being in an 80s scifi film. not in every day life
I think to pull off any kinda fringe style you have to be cool as fuck with yourself to where you just don't care about any judgement coming in from outside and people look to you for inspiration Like you can't just start slapping this stuff on, you'd have to build a whole lifestyle for yourself Man the girls at the bottom of the chart, I don't agree with the shoes but the white tees and jumpsuits at half mast, do want
building a lifestyle around dressing like that would just seem like a some kind of role playing dressed up in nicer clothes
that's why i said to follow poet for inspiration instead of knoch the trick is to take the clothes and color coordination into account to make feasible outfits, instead of costumes [editline]27th December 2013[/editline]
if there's something i never ever want to do in my life is actually discuss those weird as shit fashion trends (or should i say /fa/ trends) with someone who actively follows them and wears that stuff i mean, i'd hate to talk about fashion with anyone that follows any sort of trend to the extreme, even the more mainstream ones, it's just that the more obscure ones like goth ninja or lunarcore just reek of pretentiousness and idiocy
it's just a style that people developed and think looks cool, and you're turning your nose up to it for literally no reason sounds like you're the pretentious one
Lets define a new trend as rustycore so we can just label him that whenever he posts/complains about other people's style
those fucking rustycore kids with their denim jackets and their ryan gosling masks
u need some new material man !! [editline]27th December 2013[/editline] + didnt even ridicule anything just now !
did you not see the part where i lampooned your tendency to wear ryan gosling masks???
bought this hat
dont get me wrong i think it looks cool - in the right context. and that context being in an 80s scifi film. not in every day life
Because of this mindset everyone is dressed in the same boring way. It's depressing. I would enjoy seeing people with different styles, as ridiculous they might be, when taking a walk in the city center.
the thing is, you also have to dress according to your environment don't bother with gothninja and lunarcore if you don't live in NYC or a similar fashion capital
the thing is, you also have to dress according to your environment don't bother with gothninja and lunarcore if you don't live in NYC or a similar fashion capital
i wouldnt bother with gothninja or lunarcore anywhere ever
or just dress however the fuck you want! !!
i wouldnt bother with gothninja or lunarcore anywhere ever
I was just saying that it's possible to get away with it there if you wish not likely anywhere else though
i don't know about you guys, but there's a crossdressing thread on FP and i found that there's more arguing/hostility here than there is there and they wear clothes for the opposite sex.
Because of this mindset everyone is dressed in the same boring way. It's depressing. I would enjoy seeing people with different styles, as ridiculous they might be, when taking a walk in the city center.
meanwhile people on spaceships are thinking 'man. im so tired of everybody dressing in boring spaceship core on here. i wish people would wear some different styles!'
But who would go in there apart from crossdressers? Of course they'll support each other/circlejerk
the difference between this thread and the cross dressing thread is that we argue with eachother. they argue with literally everybody else
fashion sweatpants r dumb. theyre still sweatpants- bad. [editline]27th December 2013[/editline] jcrew un-sweatpants - slim fit - zipper! - back pockets - buttons!!! wow! thats sounds great. the only thing missing to make these great would be to replace the sweat with denim [editline]27th December 2013[/editline] (so theyre not sweatpants anymore) [editline]27th December 2013[/editline]
my current wardrobe i'm building is going towards that minimalistic, black/grey/navy look. also sweatpants. here you guys go, I haven't posted myself in awhile [t]http://i.imgur.com/pi56eDz.jpg[/t]
ur wearing loafers, man. game over. game over
building a lifestyle around dressing like that would just seem like a some kind of role playing dressed up in nicer clothes
i think the lifestyle here would just be being super confident.
nobody likes people that are too confident
depends on how they act.
depends on how they act.
... too confident. the definition of confidence sort of stipulates that they are outward about it. if they kept it on the inside, that would make them not very confident.
That's not necessarily true. Your definition of confidence is different than mine, because my definition of confidence is belief in ones own ability. Of course nobody likes a person who is too confident, but nobody likes a person who is too anything. Even someone who's too nice. That's kind of implied in the word 'too'.
The definition of OVERconfidence was what rusty was driving at I think But you can be confident enough that you know you can pull X off without being a dick about it
