The definition of OVERconfidence was what rusty was driving at I think But you can be confident enough that you know you can pull X off without being a dick about it
not of it's lunarcore though. that inherently reeks of overconfidence
... too confident. the definition of confidence sort of stipulates that they are outward about it. if they kept it on the inside, that would make them not very confident.
what a weird definition. [editline]27th December 2013[/editline]
not of it's lunarcore though. that inherently reeks of overconfidence
so if someone wears weird clothes they're an asshole?
well, it depends on how weird. but usually i'd be willing to bet they are
What about; people are people and you don't know if they're an asshole or not until you get to know them regardless of how they dress?
not of it's lunarcore though. that inherently reeks of overconfidence
no it doesnt [editline]27th December 2013[/editline] who jammed that stick up your ass, old man rusty? lunarcore is way more understated than some of the other shit that's been posted in here, like gothninja or full-on streetwear like seriously, you really do throw a fit whenever you see anything unfamiliar
haha, why are you so obsessed with trying to point out me throwing a fit. i have never once thrown a fit when i call something shit it's in passing just like everyone else on the internet i am not getting upset over one single thing in this thread or entire forum. you need to get over your hang up on my posting, because you feel the need to stop a discussion every time and go 'HEY. RUSTY. WOW. WHY ARE U SO UPSET.' read my posts, rate em, disagree with em, move on dude. [editline]28th December 2013[/editline] i have over 50 thousand posts we're gonna be doing this dance forever if you call a mild disagreement me being upset every single time
maybe if you weren't such an over opinionated brat, i wouldn't be so quick to point out every time you respond negatively to something you find unfamiliar
Please, I don't agree with Rusty that much but just let it go, you can just ignore him if you want to.
wait shit, i actually forgot you can do that [editline]27th December 2013[/editline] nvm
maybe if you weren't such an over opinionated brat, i wouldn't be so quick to point out every time you respond negatively to something you find unfamiliar
lol, im no more opinionated than anyone on this website. i just don't sugar coat it. but its amazing how defensive people get when you don't agree with them, and it only gives more credence to my self importance lol [editline]28th December 2013[/editline]
wait shit, i actually forgot you can do that [editline]27th December 2013[/editline] nvm
pretty sure he just meant 'read his posts without bothering to reply'
uh yes you are [editline]27th December 2013[/editline] like, half the time i see you post, you're just inanely bitching
come talk to me when youve been on this website for over 8 years
ANYWAY I know it's winter, but nothing beats autumn fashion IMO. There's just something about skin color that goes so remarkably well with oranges, beige and black and white colors. Gorgeous. Genius. Good, though I'm no huge fan of the jacket. Makes me wish I had an autumn hair color.
come talk to me when youve been on this website for over 8 years
that's not an excuse
sorry talk to me when youve been a moderator for 6 years now, time to move on schmuck
i'll move on when you stop shitting my thread every second page
This is a fashion thread. About fashion. And that kind of thing. Your argument no longer has anything at all to do with fashion. Take it in PM or something please.
if this was a fashion thread, then people wouldn't weenie out whenever anything somewhat different or new got posted as of right now, it's the world's most basic style help thread
There's just something about skin color that goes so remarkably well with oranges, beige and black and white colors.
maybe if you're white, check your privilege dude
well, it depends on how weird. but usually i'd be willing to bet they are
lmao.
oh man what have i done i was just trying to make a joke about an obscure style exclusive to /fa/ and now there's two pages of people arguing
There's a branch of the Salvation Army called 'Fretex'. They sell used clothes that people have thrown into Salvation Army bins. The money earned goes to help the poor. I get most my clothes from there. It's a totally underrated. Used clothes in general is an exceptionally brilliant place to find original, beautiful outfits. I mean 80% is ugly as all hell, but if you know what shapes and colors suit you, you know how to match clothes and build an outfit you can get some brilliant, brilliant outfits from there for next to nothing. [editline]27th December 2013[/editline] Some times you'll have to do minor repairs, but the quality is usually quite good.
i'm totally pro thrift shops and charity, but the salvation army is pretty homophobic. try other charities instead.
Not in the Norwegian branch. "Armeen er åpen for at homofile kan være tilhørige (medlemmer), og alle homofile er velkomne." Translation: "The Salvation Army is open to that homosexuals can be members, and all homosexuals are welcome." [editline]27th December 2013[/editline] I don't think you can make it far with homophobia in Scandinavia.
the salvation army organisation still funds anti homosexual things though. just because one branch denies involvement in homophobia doesn't mean the company isn't shit. [editline]28th December 2013[/editline] basically, take your business to other thrift stores
That would be a good point, but I don't think money from Fretex actually goes to the Salvation Army. Their description on their website specifically states that one of their main values is non-discrimination, be it of color, religious or political affiliation, sexual orientation etc. Regardless this lingers a bit on my curiosity, so I'm writing them a mail now asking whether or not any money actually gets passed up the chain. EDIT: Regardless I won't stop shopping at Fretex, because buying my clothes there rather than another thrift shop employs more people and does more good than it ever could do bad. Plus the selection is big and brilliant.

The field of fashion that you see day to day is really narrow after all, people should open up the field imo People who know what they're doing preferably but you know what I mean
Huh I always thought you were a dude. weird
I am, but I'm very interested in fashion and honestly I like women's fashion better. I do some fashion photography, and girls tend to take me out to help them shop. I like discussing and comparing clothes. It's an interest that comes from my love of visuals, which is why I paint and photograph a lot.
