it's just a style that people developed and think looks cool, and you're turning your nose up to it for literally no reason sounds like you're the pretentious one
if they thought baggy, spacey shit looked cool they'd be wearing it before did i wear, say, aztec prints before they became fashionable? no, but that doesn't mean they're that different from something i would have wore. i didn't hate colorful prints of any kind before they were "in", i just didn't wear them because hey, that's sorta how fashion works but when you suddenly start wearing something that's COMPLETELY out of the range of anything you've wore before, that means you're literally only wearing it because it's different. and i have no problem with people dressing differently just for the sake of being different, even if they look like tools, i my point is, if you wanna dress differently just do it, but don't pretend you're trying to be fashionable. obscure trends like lunarcore just give you an excuse to do so. it's like an attention whore that also thinks he's hot shit because he's wearing something that nobody else knows about, at least to me
I wear a potato sack
if they thought baggy, spacey shit looked cool they'd be wearing it before
who's to say they weren't wearing it before? now it just has a name
did i wear, say, aztec prints before they became fashionable? no, but that doesn't mean they're that different from something i would have wore. i didn't hate colorful prints of any kind before they were "in", i just didn't wear them because hey, that's sorta how fashion works but when you suddenly start wearing something that's COMPLETELY out of the range of anything you've wore before, that means you're literally only wearing it because it's different. and i have no problem with people dressing differently just for the sake of being different, even if they look like tools
i still don't understand what you people think is so weird about lunarcore, it's literally just color pattering and a utilitarian aesthetic
my point is, if you wanna dress differently just do it, but don't pretend you're trying to be fashionable. obscure trends like lunarcore just give you an excuse to do so. it's like an attention whore that also thinks he's hot shit because he's wearing something that nobody else knows about, at least to me
the thing is, lunarcore isn't trying to be "fashionable", it's literally just a fringe style that some people are trying to refine and hell, maybe more people are starting to dress like that, but you can bet your ass they're not doing it to "look different", they're doing it because they like how it looks and are inspired
who's to say they weren't wearing it before? now it just has a name
these styles have such strict "guidelines", i sincerely doubt anyone was wearing anything like it before they became a thing
the thing is, lunarcore isn't trying to be "fashionable", it's literally just a fringe style that some people are trying to refine and hell, maybe more people are starting to dress like that, but you can bet your ass they're not doing it to "look different", they're doing it because they like how it looks and are inspired
if it's not trying to be fashionable, what is it trying to be? i guess you could say that "consciously" or not, it's trying to be something, and if it's not fashionable, it's something else, and if it's not "different", there's not much else that it can even try to be; there's a limited range of reasons as to why a trend exists
And the dogs are loose... I partly agree with both sides, but the way I see it - everyone is allowed to have an opinion and most importantly - even if someone is being a jerk about it, just let it go. At least it's not boring in here. No need to soil the thread with pointless arguments. Just use ratings, keep the "you're retarded" in your head, move on and post fashion-related stuff instead of drawing colts. Because Rusty will keep fighting and you'll be still wasting ammo. The fashion in this thread gets sidelined and the thread itself becomes an (true, amusing sometimes) arena.
these styles have such strict "guidelines", i sincerely doubt anyone was wearing anything like it before they became a thing if it's not trying to be fashionable, what is it trying to be? i guess you could say that "consciously" or not, it's trying to be something, and if it's not fashionable, it's something else, and if it's not "different", there's not much else that it can even try to be; there's a limited range of reasons as to why a trend exists
it's just a style of dress with a mild retro-futuristic utilitarian aesthetic dunno why it's so hard for you to wrap your head around the notion
i'm not talking about the style itself though. if i was, i'd just say "i don't like it" and be done with it (i know you're only defending it because you have a hard-on for anything with a dystopian future vibe to it tho). what bothers me is the notion of obscure trends in general. but well, i don't think we're really getting anywhere with it so might as well drop it
these styles have such strict "guidelines", i sincerely doubt anyone was wearing anything like it before they became a thing
Well the term and aesthetic didn't just conjure themselves out of the blue, obviously there were people pioneering it for it to build into a known thing in the first place
I like those Palladium boots a lot more than I thought I would
why dont we rename this thread to fashion thread or "PY fashion" because it is no where near a thread for helping people improve their clothing style or to "fix up!" anymore.
i ordered this today

i like slim fit sweatpants a lot but i can't justify wearing them to school or something
i like slim fit sweatpants a lot but i can't justify wearing them to school or something
in college, a shit ton of people wear sweatpants and shit, so I don't see the big deal in wearing them.
is that lunarcore an actual thing? looks like it was created in general games discussion or a fansite for the film Moon
is that lunarcore an actual thing? looks like it was created in general games discussion or a fansite for the film Moon
it was created on /fa/ and doesn't exist outside of there so basically no [editline]27th December 2013[/editline] I actually remember a thing called 'sandninja' that they also tried to pull no one mentions it now
thank christ
in college, a shit ton of people wear sweatpants and shit, so I don't see the big deal in wearing them.
this what the hell would make you think that sweatpants are somehow unacceptable??
IMO sweatpants are perfectly acceptable, I just haven't seen a scenario where they look particularly good.
anybody ski or snowboard? i like the whole fashion scene there because its kinda ridiculous and perfectly acceptable to wear the most obnoxious jacket you can find i just have a bright blue jacket, its extremely good at keeping me warm though
Isn't that grown around the practicality of being visible out in the snow? Like, calling it a fashion scene seems like a stretch
i dont think so. The way i see it, there's different groups of people in the winter sport scene some people wear less flagrant jackets such as these and then there's a younger crowd or the bro types who wear baggy snow pants and crazy jackets like these so i dont think its at all a stretch to call it a fashion scene all the kids i know who are the ski bum types dress like that
I love my new jacket. It was originally $300, but I got it for like $75 at Saks because of a Christmas sale. [editline]28th December 2013[/editline]
I am, but I'm very interested in fashion and honestly I like women's fashion better. I do some fashion photography, and girls tend to take me out to help them shop. I like discussing and comparing clothes. It's an interest that comes from my love of visuals, which is why I paint and photograph a lot.
I'm not going to lie, women's fashion is way more interesting to look at. They get so much more to work with than us.
Goes surprisingly well with fingerless gloves. (Y)
Yeah I was surprised to see that they fit so well with the outfit this morning. These gloves are pretty awesome.
