Fix Up! Look Sharp v9: Winged shoes don't make you look fly
10,072 replies, posted
Hey guys, I'm trying to figure out what pieces I need for a wardrobe update and want your opinion on using red shoes and red headphones/scarves as bright accents. Can shoes work that way or would it be better to get some pants or top to act as the accent.

[QUOTE=PollytheParrot;43376231]I'll probably post pics tomorrow, cbf to get "fix up! look sharp" at 11pm
The hand pockets are underneath the top pocket thing with the button, you can see the seams. You see how below the button there are two seams? They connect with a horizontal seam? Going across the rib to the side you can sort of see how it slopes down diagonally, thats where the opening is. I'll post better pics later

I don't really like this one to be honest. I don't like the texture, seams, shape, color or anything really. I generally advise against beige/khaki, with rare exceptions.
It's not terrible. It's average. I just don't personally think it looks good either, sorry. I do have a similar one though, with more pockets, which I use to hold all my filters when I photograph. It's sturdy, comfortable and practical. Just not fashionable.
The cut of the Filson short cruiser is basically that of the classic Levis jackets, with the main difference being in the quality of the materials. The soy wax, and Filson's oiled tin cloth have qualities that cause them to age nicely like leather, getting more character with wear. I wasn't sure if it had pockets when I was looking into that same jacket a few months ago.

Tip 1: don't wear headphones or scarves as a fashion accessory
[editline]1st January 2014[/editline]
I prefer black, grey or brown shoes because they're more versatile than coloured ones. That's just me though. I wouldn't be seen dead in bright red shoes.

Scarves are fine, as long as you're wearing the right jacket

I've seen scarves and long sleeve shirts on men, and it was ridiculous, it was something like 60*F outside at the time.
Incoming terrible pictures. Before I get shit, I couldn't find my shoes or watch, and those are my comfort jeans. Pics still don't do it much justice. First is general fit, second is inner lining/sleeves/pockets

scarves are completely fine, but i don't like ones with bright colors, i prefer neutral color + pattern. basically, i use them more for making boring outfits interesting rather than for matching
Looks better than I thought initially. Still don't like the color, but that's subjective.
Well I have brown hair/brown eyes so anything remotely brown I can pull off pretty easily

Yeah. Just, like I said, don't wear it purely as an accessory. If you're in a t shirt and you're wearing a scarf, stop doing it. If it isn't below freezing and you're wearing a scarf, stop doing it.
bought these today

not the best quality but they were cheap as fuck.
It's like an untextured 3D model.
Now that would be an interesting style. :v:
it's just a white sneaker.

darker shade of red irl.
red shirts and black coats, now you can dress just like a stereotypical vampire!
hey, at least i embrace it though! partner.
and I live in an australian metropolitan area, cowboy-ness isn't a thing here. that's why it works
I am moving to the Philippines in May, where it is around 80 degrees and humid year-round. Suggestions for some breezy summer clothes that are also stylish? I've never been great at picking summer styles. I'm more of a jeans and upper layers type of guy.

that doesn't even make any fucking sense. even if red shirts were somehow related to vampires, that shirt doesn't look goth or whatever in any way.
Idk what Rusty is talking about but the pattern is a bit heavy for me
It's a good christmas shirt I guess?

It's pretty hard to tell from such a rubbish picture
The picture is so rubbish that we only see a quarter of the beanie's actual matter existing in reality.
It's like showing us only a planetary ring and asking us: "Am I a pretty planet?"
Also blurry and he's making a face, so
who knows
i hate those kind of beanies
cuffed beanies are better
