Me and my girlfriend spent the morning enjoying winter storm 'Ion'. Waiting for the -45F windchill tonight.
just got these zara shoes in the mail

not the best quality but they were cheap as fuck.
i've had this pair for about a month now, the leather starts to crease and wear really quickly but it's held together perfectly fine and they're fairly comfortable
Also, I need some comfortable pants to wear to and from my job (I get changed as soon as I get there), and I was thinking of these?
I failed to notice these were made of polyester & viscose, they're nowhere near as comfortable as I thought they'd be :(((
[editline]6th January 2014[/editline]
Where's best for cheap, skinny, cotton sweatpants?
I am completely baffled as to why you would spend $75 on a pair of sweatpants

Just picked this up for 15 bucks, thoughts?

[editline]7th January 2014[/editline]
I'm leaning towards these now though http://www.topman.com/en/tmuk/product/clothing-140502/mens-joggers-1718904/black-burnout-joggers-2368300?bi=1&ps=20

Maybe you're seeing some crazy discount but

That's what I'm seeing.
They're pretty nice looking and all, but I don't really connect sweatpants with the pinnacle of fashion. Sure, they could be fashionable but if I was going to drop that much money on pants, I'd buy a couple pairs of jeans, and get some $5 sweatpants from Walmart to wear around the house. That being said, I don't wear sweatpants outside generally, and I use a jogging suit for cold weather exercise.

Ah, I see where the conflict lies. In Europe, those same pants only cost 14 Euros. How odd.
You know whats really fucking annoying?
Buying a pair of $200 Asics, and they fall apart after 6 months of just walking use.
I have gel-kinsei 5s and Ive had to use shoe goo on the upper front above the toe, (forget the name of the area), and the sides as well. Even after that more holes are showing up.
Needless to say I'm disappointed.
Anybody have any recommendations for a good everyday shoe?
I've thought about NB, Puma and maybe going with another pair of Asics but I'm not 100%
Hell I've even thought about buying the Mass Effect N7 shoes by Tweak

why
I'm going to assume you guys probably aren't fond of them, but my Vans shoes hold up surprisingly well. I've had my current pair for around 8 months and aside from the expected slight seam separation, they're holding up fine.
I had a friend wear a pair daily for 3 years before getting a new pair. Granted there was a gaping hole in the sole, but I think that's a very decent time span for a single pair of shoes with daily use.
I want some new shoes though, I've never had very stylish shoes. I used to just wear converse low tops, until recently when I started wearing plain jane Vans shoes.
We like Vans dw

Asics are seriously the definition of horrible looking shoes
There are some nice looking asics (see Ronnie Fieg collaborations)
B-but also see the gel kinseis that he has

yeah most running shoe brands do their god awful practical running shoes and then some nice looking models.
Same goes for nike, saucony new balance etc

Oh man, you have no idea.
I would post my vans here but I have no idea what I was thinking and they would definitely be the source of ridicule

wow
those are so bad
In that case, I have these ones
[t]http://www.rackroomshoes.com/shoes/400/759276.jpg[/t]
I'm going to start ordering my shoes online though because I know what size I am and the local shoe store charges far too much for the most basic styles of Vans.
I hope you guys understand I'd never actually buy those shoes.
1. They look like shit and 2. It's a big fucking nerd label.
Probably gonna go with Asics again, dammit.
Edit:
Wait, I did find good stuff at Zumiez, anything worth looking at?

Noooo mate
You live in the states, you can get something like http://hypebeast.com/image/2011/10/vans-otw-2011-holiday-ludlow-0.jpg without leaving your chair
[editline]9th January 2014[/editline]
even the most basic throwaway Vans will improve your look 1000% from those dire runners you have now
