I haven't taken them yet. They're theoretical photos that I'm going get my mom to shoot as soon as it doesn't feel awkward asking her to lol
Has anybody here ever modelled? I was thinking of sending off some photos to various agencies but I wanted to hear some trustworthy opinions
Well I've done fashion photography, so that should count for something hopefully.

you should post a picture of yourself or what you wear. ive only seen you rail on other peoples shit, youve never actually said anything constructive or posted actual content

Let's hope there's no misinterpretation and people don't start sharing their naked model photos here. I mean, no offence to your bodies, neither am I offended by naked human bodies, but I'm sure you understand.

Yet, you managed to run almost a 2-page long argument in which you mostly defiled everyone's reading comprehension.
My point was that this thread suffers from the unstable atmosphere. There's unnecessary aggression in situations that could be handled with more composure, thus not smearing pages with preaching, hate and interpersonal issues.
Just smear clothes, boots or whatever instead. It's like it flips a "fuck-you" switch in the fashion fighter's brain when somebody dares to disagree with him. Jesus, guys, just chill.

If you go back and read the thread, I tried to explain the merits of loose jeans. It didn't matter, the immediate responses were very childish and sloppy attempts at being witty, people saying it looks "hideous", asking if it was a joke, etc. None of my responses indicate that I am intolerant.
Nobody in this thread except for one guy even humored the idea that loose jeans were a valid thing to wear. In the 90's, it was completely different- these things are cyclical and the opinions in this thread regarding skinny jeans are entirely based on current trends. There's no objective right, honestly.
Skinny jeans have been popular for a while now, and already I'm seeing a lot of people move away from them on other fashion forums. Unless you realize how fashion and clothing actually operates and learn to appreciate things that aren't necessarily in style at the moment, then you'll be looking back at pictures of you in skinny jeans now and wondering why you ever wore them. (This isn't suggesting that everyone go out and buy relaxed jeans. It's suggesting that you learn to understand the appeal of different styles of clothing, rather than dismissing them like a middle-schooler.)

lol dude why dont you just post a picture? you got nothing to lose especially if ur gonna just make fun of nets fit, atleast prove that you dress better
This isn't my first time asking this but I'd like to revisit it. I'm in need of some new everyday shoes/boots, because I'm truly tired of wearing canvas vans that only last 6-8 months. I'm interested in looking at some boot options, but I'm incredibly picky and don't like the look of the typical go to "desert boot". I have posted once or twice a picture of my usual outfit, what do you guys wear and like?

I don't like wearing desert boots too often as the heel makes them feel a bit to formal, so I know where you're coming from. Most days I wear some cheap River Island chukka's, but I've also got a few pairs of brown boots and some brown brogues for formal shit.
Just look around on different sites, whenever I'm looking for new shoes I just check out what Asos has and then when I get a general idea of what I want I'll look in other places.

I'd really like to know what pair of shoes these are, but I have not been able to for the past couple months.

why do you keep dodging it? if you want anyone to value your opinion you should prove that you have taste first

Except you also spouted numerous insults without provocation and talked down to everyone like some developing autistic teenager on a personal crusade
Also banging on and on about subjectivity but constantly disparaging the thread and everyone's opinions here as objectively bad. "I think those jeans are ugly" "NO YOU'RE WRONG"
It's like you don't understand the terms you recycle in every post

No matter how much of a bellend you act I still like your clothes though, I think you could be a great poster if you just posted outfits and no actual words :v:

but you're the only one here acting like a big pedantic baby
this thread needs to stop being so hostile, it's fuckin ridiculous

i do think of it were ever appropriate to back yourself up with a picture of yourself, its a fashion advice thread

i'd be frustrated too if i tried to explain one of my opinions and the response was "is this a joke"
it's like you didn't even see the picture he posted
I did, and I'll admit that I don't think the pictures were great examples. However, I agree with him on the point that loose-fitting clothing CAN look good if you have an idea of what you're doing with it. Look at ManOfKent's fits on Styleforum or sift through Superdenim WAYWT threads and you're guaranteed to find some good stuff.
Except you also spouted numerous insults without provocation and talked down to everyone like some developing autistic teenager on a personal crusade
Except there was provocation. Rusty said I dress in a way that requires no effort because I wear all-black, they immediately dismissed the jeans I was talking about without even trying to explain what's wrong with them- comments like "Is this a joke?" and "those jeans are so bad they melted his face off" are useless and contribute nothing to the discussion.
Also banging on and on about subjectivity but constantly disparaging the thread and everyone's opinions here as objectively bad. "I think those jeans are ugly" "NO YOU'RE WRONG"
It's like you don't understand the terms you recycle in every post
Nobody said "I don't like those jeans." One guy literally said he thinks that they are not a viable option. None of the comments discussed why they don't like the jeans, and they treated them like they were something that is just inherently ugly. There is a difference between not liking something and disparaging it immediately without valid reason.
No matter how much of a bellend you act I still like your clothes though, I think you could be a great poster if you just posted outfits and no actual words :v:
Try and analyze what I'm actually saying. Maybe go to a part of the internet you've never been to- like Harajuju or fuk.co. Look up some designers you're not familiar with and check out what they produce- Lad Musician, Undercover, The Soloist, Visvim.. Maybe at least try and understand why it irritates me when people are so narrow-minded when it comes to people who like other things? I don't just think this way about clothing, I have the same views regarding music, etc. The sort of attitudes most people here are demonstrating are basically the same as a teenager in an ACDC t-shirt complaining about rap not being real music.
The difference between me and the other people here is that they are dismissing loose jeans as inherently bad, terrible, etc. I'm not really doing anything like that. I am trying to explain how both loose jeans and tight jeans are valid choices.
Sorry if it seems like I'm talking down to you but honestly a lot of the opinions here remind me of how Reddit's fashion board was a year and a half ago.

"things I subjectively don't like are objectively bad how could anyone appreciate this thing that i don't like"
savaril you have been raging and bitching like an autist on an internet forum for nearly a day
let that sink in for a min and evaluate your life
trying to change people's opinions shouldn't be that hard sometimes, especially when you can't give a solid reason regarding why those looked good in the first place lol
trying to change people's opinions shouldn't be that hard sometimes, especially when you can't give a solid reason regarding why those looked good in the first place lol
It's subjective. You probably don't like them because slim-fit jeans are the norm at the moment, and you just aren't familiar with what is appealing about loose jeans.
Honestly, the pictures I posted were pretty tame examples. Most fashion forums would be receptive to them. They aren't supposed to look like a clean-cut preppy guy or a streetwear kid, the appeal is something that's more applicable to older guys or someone who lives in a rural area. They make me think of farmers, or someone who lives out on the country. Banjos, guitars, folk music. Thick, heavy fabrics and clothes that are extremely worn in from manual labor. Old beaten up cars and vintage pin-ups hanging on the wall. They make me think of a guy who works with his hands, maybe a craftsman or a woodworker. Honestly there's an entire mythos there that you're ignoring- and please don't try and dismiss this by bringing up authenticity and saying "well nobody here is any of those things lmao" because it is very likely that none of you have a real reason to wear something like Iron Rangers or a pair of Jordans either.
Nobody's talking about loose clothing in general though sav, it's that one picture you cited that's the root of all this shit. I am actually totally open to dressing outside of the norm, but in my opinion that man looked dreadful. Being open-minded doesn't mean everything is a viable option - you have to narrow down your taste somehow don't you? Stuff you think looks like shite is hardly viable to you if that's how you feel about it, is it
I doubt anybody saw the picture and dismissed it because current trends contradict it, I expect every person looked at it and considered it (however briefly) and decided they didn't like it
Maybe you've mislead yourself into thinking otherwise because we all hate the outfit en masse, but they're just those kind of jeans. jeans that people will find ugly for good reason. They don't look salt-of-the-earth, there's no art or romance or interesting silhouette behind them, they don't take me back to bygone days (at least not to ones that I want to go back to)
They just look awkward as awkward
